Simataa Wins Appeal Case

Share

The Faz appeals committee has overturned Simataa Simataa’s suspension from all football related activities.

Simataa was suspended for three months in January by the Faz disciplinary committee for bringing the game into disrepute.

In passing judgment today at Golfview Hotel in Lusaka, Faz appeals committee chairman William Nyirenda SC the composition of the disciplinary committee whose members had publicly attacked Simataa rendered their decision unfair.

“The committee agrees with Mr Simataa with respect to Jim Chongo as article 45 (4) precludes or disqualifies Mr Chongo from sitting as a member of the disciplinary committee. Being a club official it is doubtful whether when he is sitting in a judicial capacity as the disciplinary committee does he would be objective and independent,” Nyirenda said in a read statement.

“The committee also agrees that the press releases that Mr Kasolo and Mr Hamiyanze issued with respect to those that were perceived to be against the executive committee of FAZ creates a conflict in them which in accordance with article 23 (1) of disciplinary committee code they should have declared.

“The fact that they did not declare that interest violates the provision of article 23 (4) of the disciplinary code effectively making the proceedings of the disciplinary committee of 6th January with respect to Mr Simataa a nullity.

“We therefore set aside the suspension of three months and restore Mr Simataa his full rights.”

  1. Can the Govt pls congratulate Great Kalu officially…Its not child’s play to sit on the continental football body especially that he is the second Zambian to do so after Tom Mtine. Chipungu pls do us a favour.

  2. This guy called Simataa has a personal hatred for Great Kalu! Great Kalu will always be great despite the opposition from the rebels. What is Simataa gonna say about great Kalu’s new position at CAF? More hatred? We can only wait and see!

  3. Simataa has won the appeal again! Thats what happens when the disciplinaryis motivated by hate.
Sharp shoot, NSCZ which a government agency did congratulate Kalusha.

  4. Congratulate Mr Bwalya for what? Next time we shall hear people saying Thandiwe should be congratulated for scooping a goofy sugar daddy. Kupusa muleke sure Zambians you are embarrassing yourselves.

  5. #10, now you believe you are the minority. Kalu has support & you wil be dealt with properly in kitwe. Kindly leave Thandiwe alöne also.

  6. Bollocks! There was never a suspension to start with. And for all you shmucks who have the tendency of blogging hate statements against Simataa, please don’t get involved in stuff you know nothing about. Simataa does not hate Bwalya. Don’t talk as if you are Bwalya’s girlfriedn to claim you know him well…or may be you are Bwalya’s ‘girlfriend’, mule landa bwino abena tetitwishibe ifwe ukwabula kutweba mwamona! Bwalya is not a perfect person, he does make mistakes and when he does them people cannot just sit quitely – especially when he continues as if nothing is wrong. Noone is perfect in this world. So Stop hounding Simataa just because one day he publicly differed with Kalu. Are you Kalu’s wife!

  7. #11 HEY – don’t take things personal. Kalusha can continue in his presidency if the vote of no confidence fails. But what will suffer is not Simataa or Kamanga – those guys have enough money for them and their families. It is Zambian football that will suffer…but may be Zambians deserve suffering. After all they voted RB into power, now they want to vote Sata into power. The problem is you are the same people who come back to start complaining like small girls, when problems start showing. As things stand right now, we have sen nothing. Do you have a national team you guys? You have nothing. Recently even Kenya humiliated you…you ended up playing a friendly with SWAZILAND! How can Zambia now stoop so low to panic for a friendly with Swaziland! And you still claim nothing is wrong!!

  8. # 11, Look man, leave me out of your stinking stoogery charade. If your idea of a majority even encompasses a rental crowd like yours, shame on you. Only a vile crowd like your and your kind would get mesmerized by the toilet acrobatics of a skunk lumpen of the Kalusha order.

  9. et me tall the Zambians the truth. Kalusha was a great player. Let us admit it but does kalusha recognise other people with abilities as well? Why cant Kalusha talk abou Charles Musonda for example or Willie Phiri, some of the best midfielders Zambia has ever known. I am wrong if I dont include Jani and Jericho? Why doesnt Kalu talk about these good people as well. Football is a team game. Why does he always think he is better than his colleagues?

  10. #14 tell your tribesman hero hyena-Simata that “Two things a man should never be angry at: what he can help, and what he cannot help”. No one needs his help in Zambia, maybe in Barotseland, and I wonder if they play football there.

  11. #14 & 15 mwafula. Good. Now tel shreck(simata) that zambia was among the best teams at Afcon -angola until he chased Renard with continuos criticism & now he wants to destroy Kalu. We wil deal with you ku kitwe. Mukese baice.

  12. #12 Igwe……………..If your memory serves you right, you will agree with me that simataa-simataa is one person who has been against everyone who has been President of Faz but one wonders becoz the time he had an opportunity to head Faz he chickened out in a typical ladish/childish behaviour which i think regrets.
Coming to the standard of soccer in Zambia, can you safely say that, Nigeria, Algeria, Cameroon, Senegal, Togo, Congo DR etc have greatly improved in the last 6 years? the problem is not Kalu but players themselves coz nowadays their main focus is money, womanising and beer drinking. Can you say that Kalu brought downfall of mbesuma, kalaba, kampamba,,etc?????? who finished Diof??is it FA of senegal?? yeas kalu can make mistakes but let him finish his term. who is kamanga?

  13. #11 That’s the problem with you guys who support Kalusha. You love having the brand Kalusha when our soccer is not developing. No one wants him out of FAZ what we need is a blue print for soccer development in Zambia. The fact that Kamanga & Simaata challenged the order goes to show that we are not progressing our football. I want to ask you were in the football fratenity have you seen a FAZ Vice President also being the coach of the national team? Are you telling me this can happen in say the English league where the FA president is also coach of the English national team? Kalusha is serving his own selfish interest & I guess the disappointment for most Zambians is that having experience player problems during his playing days one would have thought he would bring meaningful change in…

  14. #11…No one is questioning Kalusha’s ability & what he achieved on the football pitch for Zambia. He has no administration/corporate management experience hence his leadership has come under so much pressure & cracked…Judge the man based on his developmental agenda for Zambian soccer not to be blinded by his brand & sweet talking interviews. The fact that he won the CAF executive seat does not mean he will develop our soccer he is yet to prove himself in Zambia later on at continental level & when that happens he will earn the respect he deserves for now he is no different from all past FAZ presidents really.

  15. #12 Yeah you are right All the teams you mention have deteriorated yet some have been Africa’s top ranked. Hey#17 that #14 guy is terribly jealous of Great Kalu. He must have a very personal axe to grind. But most cowards are like that. He needs to be sorted out by the Chamboli boys. Tulinokumukontaula nga amoneka

  16. #12 and 21,so the rumour is actually the truth, that galu is organising thugs to harass delegates supporting a vote of no confidence. We are also lining up William Banda

  17. #10, I agree with #11 leave Thandiwe out of your hate campaign. She is a nice lady and only a pervert would have any reason to attack her. Most Zambians across the political divide, we love and respect her as we respect and love Dr Kaseba too, if that helps.

  18. #20, Manadaliza. But what are we going to judge you on. what have you done in your village Lolest. No one knows you. Even when you die, no one will know it. Are you sure Simata is known even by your neighbour? If not, why.
CHERISE, LINDIWE, LUKUNDO are even popular than your Shreck(simata).
Who has developed anything in this country including politicians to expect KALU to be an Angel Combine all the degrees we have and check how poor our country is.
Soccer went with the demise of the ZCCM. How does Malawi and Sychelles support their candidates and expect us to follow your stupidity of Hatred towards our ambassador. Get a life Lol…

  19. Pointing out a wrong in a friend, boss, workmate, etc does not amount to hatred. This mentality of assuming that all criticism amounts to hatred is retrogressive. It even blinds us from seeing the good that one can offer by electing to be subjective. It also explains why we dont learn from our mistakes simply because we refuse to accept the mistakes. And when our sporting teams fail to make progress we keep going back to the same faulty drawing boards!

  20. Simatax2 and his friends have seen what Kalu has been doing at futbal hse. They ve realised that the future is bright and they want to hijack so that when the fruits of abena kalu will be seen as theirs. Get a life guys and see where you can take Amakumbi stars

  21. #26 kadodi. Remove from your eye first, besides who doesnt know that they want to take over thru the back door other than correcting a mistake.

  22. My advise to most of you guys is that we need to be objective when making contributions. No one is saying Kalu is not great. But if we are to ask ourselves about this greatness and where it come from? the simple ans to that is that it came from the pitch when he was playing.football. But let us put the two together he was great on the Pitch but is he great in the administration of soccer in the Country? I for one thinks he has failed and that is what simataa is talking about. Simaata might have his own weakness but i think we need to atleat listen from him. Simaata is better in administration than Kalu and Kalu also is better on the Pitch than Simaata we cant argue on that.So when an administrator speeks on the running of the affairs of football i mean he knows what he is talking about…

  23. #27
Kalu administration has been linked with alot of wrong doings.we have heard his involvement in the transfer of players and some of those players he has contributed to their failure.Talk of super sport deals, Nike Contracts all it contents only known to himself.when it comes to selections of Coaches complaints have always been there and now interference in the team selection and the poor perfomance of our National team on inter Ranking.are these not enough reason to say someone has failed, but i dont blame u but i think it is our football that is suffering after coz after that faz job Kalu is going to S.A to join his wife but wat we happen to our game?

  24. Iwe Smart observer, Tiye Uko haha. Is Simataa a good administrator ? Give examples. What progress has makumbi stars made and do you know why he was chased at Unza stars ?
-resigned from faz just after 3 months.
    -fired from finance bank.
-blocked to stand as committee member by judge david lewanika in kasungas faz due to incompetence.
-drives an old corolla like mine so he wants to finish his poverty by joinong faz. if you dont believe, he is fond of cleaning it williams car wash munali round about.
-resigned from Nevers mumbas NCC party after 4 weeks. Is this what you call good administrator, let him show us what he has done at makumbi or what he left at city of lusaka.

  25. #25 BoMangolwa You’re the most ilogical i.diot I have ever come across on this forum. You use emotions to argue about a person holding public office. What I do in my personal capacity has nothing to do with what my neighbour will judge me on or against. It’s lumpens like you chap who hijack this forum where we are suppose to put across pertinent issues. Kalusha does not own Zambian soccer in his personal capacity. He is FAZ president. What he owns in his person capacity is his. I should question your stu.pidity for laying open in the manner you have done. I’m commenting on FAZ developmental agenda not on the silly things you’re bring about my neighbour village etc… Point of correction this is not a discussion about popularity coz we know Kalusha is a brand & you BoMangolwa you’re not.

  26. MANDALIZA, Do you agree that zambia was 1 of the better teams at afcon in Angola only to be rewarded with unprecedented rebelion by simata? If you cudnt see this, then you need a brain check .

  27. Mandaliza At 20 I was inclined, on some points, to accept you as one of the very few anti-Kalusha (or Kalushaters) with some logic but at 36 you take yourself to the sewers. Some arguments should be ignored. Ba Intelligentsia #15 When you try to make your suspicions or point ask yourself Does Kalusha speak about himself and his exploits? He doesnt. So why do you want him to speak about Charles Musonda Willy Phiri. etc? By the way I have heard him speak about Zoom Ndhlovu and one time when he was asked about the best goal he has ever seen he replied Ashios Melu’s free kick. If you want him to speak about Charles Musonda go and ask him about Musonda.

  28. # 38 unfortunately soccer is a results driven sport hence we see managers lose their jobs regularly. You are missing the point. We have reached the finals of AFCON twice in the history of the competition in 1974 & 1994. Being knocked out at quarter final level is under archieving in my opinion given the standards that we have set in the past. Whether we were a better team in Angola is not the point we didn’t win AFCON…For the record I don’t think or even imagine Simata is better than Kalusha or he will develop Zambian soccer. Kalusha can silence his critics by just doing one thing start rolling out the blue-print of soccer development which has suffered after the main sponsor ZCCM was privatised.

  29. #39 Am not anti Kalusha at all & neither do I think Simataa or Kamanga should head FAZ. They are just power hungry with not real agenda to offer Zambian football. I have no reason to do that but as a soccer fan am not ashamed to say that the national sport is not progressing because the leaders we have governing our sport don’t want to take the sport to new heights. I would like to see FAZ develop our national soccer at all levels of the sport. Kalusha has all the connections a FAZ President needs but what he hasn’t done is to start using that to the benefit of development becoz that is what he championed during his campaigns when he was running for FAZ president. We should separate his individual brilliance & what he attained for Zambia & as a professional player.

  30. #36 Mandaliza, calm down and Logically i have to say sorry for directing my response to you at #25, I was at another blog where someone was arguing that Kalusha has not done anything for this country thats why we have never won any silverware and that noone likes him in Zambia. You will notice that my response does not match your questions at # 20. You will however agree with me that some arguments against Kalusha demand the answers we are giving.

  31. #41, you seem objective, Now did all countries that didnt win Afcon go & form splinter groups & does this happen elsewhere? Dont you think this has taken away little gains we were making because kalu has now to spend time defending himself ?
