The National Restoration Party (NAREP) has accused the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) of playing politics in the mobile issuance of voter’s cards.
NAREP secretary general John Phiri says the mobile voter exercise was a flop since its introduction as the commission has never shown commitment to the exercise.
Mr. Phiri says it is time ECZ proved its innocence and independence as Zambians a are fed up with their tricks.
He noted that there is no way the commission can be doing the exercise secretly without announcing to people in the communities.
The NAREP secretary general says there is need to take such exercises serious instead of politicizing what should benefit the people of Zambia.

Mwaiche John tekanya.we know you want limelight.we also know you are excited but chilin’ga mufana or you will crush namutu pansi…
ECZ politicising the voters registration exercise, is it a political party?
ECZ is the determining factor for the will of the people and is not by any chance be let to play such useless tricks. Let transparency be shown to this commission for once to avoid the egypt and libya struggles in zambia.
Give suggestions on way forward avoid throwing wild statements. How should ECZ conduct such exercises and how should they be monitored etc…. and not blah blah blah blah .. immature Zedian politicians always winging but no solution/ guidelines on how ECZ should conduct such issues. ..
Some Political Parties, awe mwe! They are only heard in the media but you can not find them on the ground. Bola nimpansi!
NAREP – kiss my a.s.s!
Its true that lack of community publicity of ECZ activities has also contributed to failure of voter registration to capture all eligible voters. The answer is just an independent ECZ, better funding of the commission. with reduced powers of the president through a better constitution. Otherwise we expect no free and fair elections from this commission full of MMD cadres. For me Florence Mumba would have done better than Ireen Mambilima and so bringing Mambilima back at ECZ is the beginning of rigging. And where is Chilekwa with his cadres? they promised to continue work stoppage until Kalale comes back. Is it because of Ireen Mambilima that they have abandoned their promise? Chilekwa should stop being used to advance MMD agenda.
