A FORMER Patriotic Front (PF) official has disclosed that Kabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda will shortly after Parliament is dissolved together with several district party officials’ defect to the United Party for National Development (UPND).
Former Mandevu PF treasurer Alex Mulenga said Mr Lubinda had now realised that he had fallen out of favour with the PF leader Michael Sata who did not want to be challenged as party presidential candidate at the convention.
“Mr Lubinda is seriously de-campaigning Mr Sata and PF and he is therefore planning to defect with a lot of PF district officials to UPND immediately when Parliament is dissolved.
“This is because Mr Lubinda has seen, experienced and heard what the MCC and Mr Sata are saying. They are saying that he is not an indigenous Zambian and cannot stand as national president on the PF ticket,” he said.
When contacted for a comment Mr Lubinda declined to comment saying he did not want to be dragged in fortune telling stories.
“If he (Mr Mulenga) is practicing fortune telling, let him go ahead and do so. I will not participate in fortune telling,” he said.
Mr Mulenga said Mr Sata’s camp was alleging that Mr Lubinda was a hired gun by the UPND to destabilise the PF and that he should be fired from the party.
“That is why they have started with his party portfolio. They further said the pact was not an initiative of the PF but that it was Mr Lubinda’s idea who is still pretending to insist that the pact should be maintained,” he said.
Mr Mulenga said he had been vindicated by the statement he issued last month that Mr Lubinda would be stripped of his position as party spokesperson.
He said this clearly showed how the differences between Mr Sata and Mr Lubinda had widened.
Mr Mulenga said Mr Sata thought he was clever by manipulating Mr Lubinda to abandon the United Liberal Party (ULP), the party which enabled him earn a seat in Parliament.
Meanwhile, Mr Mulenga has said that Mr Sata has finally decided that the PF would contest the 2011 general elections as a single party and that during one of the party meetings which was held recently he admitted that president Rupiah Banda had worked extra hard.
Mr Mulenga said Mr Sata said it would be difficult to convince the Zambian people not to vote for the MMD.

What really is the problem with the pact. May be the earlier the dissolve the pact the better so that each party contest the elections single handely. After the election then we shall see who was smart whether the upnd, pf or the voters. The outspoken Kabwata PF member of parliament Given Lubinda has been dropped as a spokesperson for his party. The incumbent General Secretary of the party Wynter Kabimba has been assigned to act as the party spokesperson.
It is believed that Lubinda was harboring to oust the party president Michael Sata and been using underhand methods such as supporting the degree and age clause at the parliament in conjunction with his former UNDP colleagues .He had further launched a scheme to sell the idea of taking over the lower organs of the party by using the Lusaka provincial Chairman Paul Moonga who quickly resigned recently after learning that the plan had leaked to Sata.
It was further discovered that Lubinda was not advancing interests of the party whenever he attended PACT joint meetings…
Should there be any further debate on the defunct pact of PF and UPND? We used to tell you blind pact supporters who thought Hakasata’s opportunity to enter State house had come. These people, Sata and HH depended on each other’s weaknesses to form the pact. Sata was sure that HH would accept to take a second or even third position in their government [once formed] considering that UPND was less popular while HH was celebrating the possibility that Sata would be barred by the new constitution. As can be seen from the foregoing there was no sincerity between the two and such hiden agedas do not succeed. Amen.

Differences in UPND/PF pact are embarrassing – PF Cadre
PF Cadre Dante Saunders has observed that the happenings in the PF/UPND pact are a great embarrassment to the nation.
Mr. Saunders says the people of Zambia are very disappointed with what is happening in the pact considering the sacrifices made to ensure that the pact remains intact.
He tells QFM that it will only be fair if the pact clearly state to its sympathizers on what is happening for them to decide on their next move instead of wasting their time with the assurances that the pact is still intact.
Mr. Saunders says the Pact leaders should not forget that their followers have other alternatives and once they are disappointed, it will be hard for them to have faith in the pact again.
He says the pact leadership should be assured of upsetting the people of Zambia for failing to live up to their early promises of liberating the citizens, if the pact fails.
And Mr. Saunders says there is no doubt that PF secretary general Winter Kabimba is responsible for the problems in the pact.

I have come to respect Lubinda.He talks of real issues and articulates them so well. Sata is just a loud mouth with nothing to offer than the 90 days (years) miracle. Reliable information reaching my central command post indicates that PF’s Sata MC has written a letter to the UPND telling them that he doesnt want anything to do with the PACT and UPND from now onwards.
I hope the UPND will convene a meeting to accept Mr PF serpent Sata MC’s writings and share its contents to the media the way PF’s Wynter KABIMBA did it on the Chirwa Clive letter that had proposals for the PACT which excited PF in its entirety.

I just see what Christine Kaseba became after he married Mr Sata. This was an intelligent and active woman, but he has oppressed her and made her as materialistic as he is while suppressing her. Now in the years of PF and all the public meetings and campaigns they do not articulate these issues. They just concentrate on attacking peoples characters and insulting. They do not dwell on policies. They cheat people about economy turn arround in 90 days where on earth, more money in the pocket without a job. UPND and MMD they talk about issues in the campaigns.

#Kennedy, you can try to beautify Sata’s dirty deeds we won’t blame you because your memories are too short. You can try to clean his bad side and even shine it we do not mind, but the fact is nothing will make us vote for him because a human being’s actions should be left to judge him in future.
