The Increased levels of theft at some of Lusaka’s Manda hill shopping have become a source of concern.
In the last few days, three female suspects have been arrested on theft charges after stealing from the shops.
A young lady of Lusaka’s Chelstone area was picked by the police when she attempted to get away with some underwear from Mr Price shop.
The shop’s Assistant Operations and Administration officer Mwenya Mulenga told Muvi TV News that a number female suspects have in the past few days been caught stealing.
Ms. Mwenya also said the trend among the female folk is worrying.

The desire to look good, drive the latest car and zimya the neighbours is driving our ladies (and men) into all sorts of vices. Good help us.
Why are women getting involved in criminal activities? It appears women have taken over criminal activities from men. Look at the number of women being caught with sachets of drugs abroad. Its a shame indeed.
too bad to be true.
#2; what do you mean ‘ … women have taken over criminal activities from men.’……. its always been this way silly!
In a society with such huge gaps between the rich and poor and lack of jobs for young people, such lunkumbwa is not uncommon. Unless this is addressed this trend will continue.
The young Lady had no pants or may be she wanted to impress her man friend over stolen pants i think .Am told her real name is Mwenya from HONE College. For give her what do you expect from my Mbuyas apart from talking and stealing, Drug trafficking, swindling others the story goes on and on and on……………..The chaps are bad news DONT Refuse you were not there. The chap had courage even telling the secury that she had no comment a hard core thief.
When our ladies use initiative to survive U condem, stealing is better than prostitution, How can a ka young beautiful tight pussy walk without a pant? it will be easy to use her hole so she had to steal from Mr Price.
Stealin starts at early age. Small children come to place to steal garden fruits. At old age they will be stealin big things.
Hahahahah….Insinuating @6 ni yabwanji kansi??
Poverty levels have worsened, women are even failing to buy underpants, yet MMD chaps are boasting about development. Is this a sign of development? Pabwato come 2011.
Times are hard. This development is only favouring a few. Watch the crime rate raise faster than ever! No Joke.
These are the signs of poverty. So all those who support those fake reports on Zambia developing, shame on you.
# 4 chilombo: you just made my day:)):)):))
The situation with our women is geeting out of hand, today you hear they are hiding drugs mu matako, the next day they are stealing panties, the other they are having sex with dogs. What is the problem Kanshi? Maybe men back home are not keeping these girls busy, mu lekaba sana no tujilili ba mambala and forgeting your responsibilities.
Obvious nika G-String!
Stealing is not always as a result of poverty. There was a government minister in Kabwe who used to steal from Shoprite. One day he stole toothpaste and slid it into the pocket of his jacket. Security searched him and found the toothpaste. Management at shoprite then revealed to him that they knew he had been stealing but didn’t want to embarrass him because he was a public figure.
love of material stuff- the reason why women never say no to sex regardless of the age, marrital status, etc.
vima hule ivi..you embarassing yourselves..why can’t u respect ur selfves women..?
A pant worth 30pin, Lord have mercy. She could have gone to Soweto market at Salaula, they have nice lingerie there for only 5pin
Z.P should swing into action immediatelly our national image is tarnishing, it`s a recipe for economical ills and poverty,
uuhhmm ya vuta stealing a pant honestly am sure this could have been a student at a college. Advise to all the relatives we have sent to colleges in Lusaka please please avoid going to shopping mall. These are places for the comfortable ones. Just visit Soweto and streets for you groceries and second hand clothes.
We don’t want to be embarrased one of these days mind you fuel has gone up and this is what is pushing prices up.
Kleptomania is a mental disorder, I agree with #16 Whimp that it is not because of poverty that people steal, currently in the USA, Lindsay Lohan is facing criminal charges because she stole a necklace which she could have afforded considering that she is a top movie star.
Surely,it is shameful to celebrate womens’day when we are reading most women being involved in shoplifting and drug trafficking-maybe they are fighting for 30% representation in all circles of “econimic activities”.
In most cases, such girls are very beutifull.
Ubukopo mwebanakashi, surely i cant even see tht those cloths are tagged! Abanenu abaacenjela balatususula elo ba Vyeta.kalelanda nokulanda ati “No comment” kwati ni ka politician
Ichimpwena! Just going to Manda Hill muku pweneka with no money, we are so backward. The Escalator has even stopped working because it was used as something to play with.
it is so embarrassing 2 c beutful ladies stealing …
Who would see how many nikaz one has? One or two nikas are enough girls please twapapata
