Former Patriotic Front (PF) spokesperson Given Lubinda says he is delighted that he is not spokesperson of The Party at the time of the PF/UPND pact’s break-up as he would have not stood the tension.
Mr. Lubinda says the news of the pull out of the United Party for National Development (UPND) From the pact would not have been so easy for him to handle as he had worked so hard for the sustainability of the same.
He said it is saddening that the pact has been dissolved at a time when the Zambians invested so much to see it prosper.
Mr. Lubinda appealed to the leaderships of the two parties to put their personal interests and greed aside and instead prioritize the nation’s interests.
He added that the two parties should have resolved their differences amicably instead of swaying away from the basis the pact was founded upon.
Mr. Lubinda has however remained optimistic that the Patriotic Front will win the general election as a single party.
He says the only difference is that it might not be with a large margin compared to the way pact would have won the elections.

Whether PACT or not MMD will win the elections.
I say so because of the following scenarios:
1) If the PACT fails, neither PF nor the UPND has enough capacity to with the elections alone.
(2) If the PACT worked out, then two scenarios can arise, either:
a) HH becomes prident: this leads to disorientation of Lusaka and Copperbelt which would loose most voters to MMD. The same would apply for Northern and Luapula, 95% would drift to MMD
b) SATA becomes prident: this would cause Southern province, Western Province, N/Western province and most of Central province, including Lusaka Rural to drift to MMD.
Both scenarios under (2) would give an enomous advantage to MMD wich would win elections by over 60% Vote. Most people dont see it this way, they think it will be a direct…
Concerning the PACT most people think it will be a direct addition of HH and SATA’s votes in previous elections.
Watch out; public opinion does not obey the law of basic arithmetic of 1+1=2.
Public opion follows laws of dynamics: what influences people to vote?
What are the parameters that cause them to vote in the way they do?
Should these paramenters change are we gona see the same pattern of vote? No, No, No.
Remove SATA in the picture (as president) and forget about Lsk, CB, Luapula, and Northern.
Remove HH in the picture (as presidential candidate) then forget about Sothern, Western, N/Western, Lusaka Rural, and most of Central Rural.
Those who think am stating COMIC, wait until the elections and see it for yourself
Those who are analytical they LOVE the PACT of they are MMD

If you support the opposition treat the PACT with care and caution.

We should not worry because this is just a mare separation.It is not a divorce.They will reunit within 45days and when they do so we in the MMD won’t be so happy. I think this time when PF-UPND pact resurects ,they should fix leader/members who always rush to the press to coment against their presidents or the pact status.Let us see where they are going from now or else we the MMD will rule till tsunami hits Zambia.
