Sata calls on small parties to back PF

Share

Patrotic Front leader Michael Sata and his Members of Parliament

PATRIOTIC Front (PF) president Michael Sata yesetrday pleaded with opposition political parties to help his party win this year’s tripartite elections by forming loose political alliances with his party.

Mr Sata, during his address, bragged that the PF is the undisputable leading opposition political party that should be assisted by what he termed “small opposition political parties” to oust the MMD from government in this year’s general elections.

Mr Sata, who claimed the PF is the biggest opposition said his party needs to accommodate smaller opposition political parties to strengthen his chances of winning the elections this year.

He made the plea to other opposition political parties when he opened the Lusaka Province PF conference at Garden House Hotel on March 19.

The PF leader said opposition political parties can co-operate and unite even after the alliance it entered into with the UPND collapsed.

Mr Sata has blamed the MMD for the demise of the PF-UPND pact, alleging that the ruling party manipulated the opposition political party.

PF Lusaka Province chairperson Davies Chama has said his party regrets the collapse of the pact it formed with the UPND.

[pullquote]Mr Sata told Mandevu member of Parliament Jean Kapata to stop threatening the police that she would undress but should instead go to the Inter-City Bus Station and undress in protest against the suspension of the council.[/pullquote]

The UPND and the MMD have in recent weeks stated that the PF is not as strong as its leaders claim it is.

The PF has reportedly been sending emissaries to the UPND to try and keep the pact alive, but the UPND has categorically stated that the alliance is dead.

Meanwhile, Mr Sata has castigated PF Lusaka members of Parliament for not protesting against Government when the Lusaka City Council was suspended.

Mr Sata described the MPs as docile.

Mr Sata told Mandevu member of Parliament Jean Kapata to stop threatening the police that she would undress but should instead go to the Inter-City Bus Station and undress in protest against the suspension of the council.

  1. “Mr Sata told Mandevu member of Parliament Jean Kapata to stop threatening the police that she would undress but should instead go to the Inter-City Bus Station and undress in protest against the suspension of the council.”

And they call him presidential material.

  2. “Mr Sata told Mandevu member of Parliament Jean Kapata to stop threatening the police that she would undress but should instead go to the Inter-City Bus Station and undress in protest against the suspension of the council.”

    hehehehe hihihihi kikikikikiiiiiiiii….

  3. We have read the correcting report in the Post Newspaper. Thanx to the post for being there. LT, ZNBC, Daily mail and TIMES, Cheap Propaganda.

  4. Sata is mentally ill. His language is pathetic, uncivilised and chaotic. I have never heard Sata talking about policies, why? I can still vote for him because I hate what RB is doing but how I wish the old could be more organised.

  5. Lets all assemble at InterCity bane. Ba Jean babwela!!. What a Presidential candidate.Of all things, thats all he had to say.

  6. Zondwa at it.He has nothing to offer. All he wants is state house.
We want change en real change.Vote HH for real change.

  7. The Post has corrected the story? Who doesn’t know that the mission of the Post is to wash Sata’s dirty image? If the state media are propaganda, the Post is more guilty especially as it claims to be an “independent” paper.

  8. Eh-eh- Sata pleading for small parties to help him win elections this year? What has happened to the PF that always brags that it can win elections without the help of anybody?
Anyway, abit of some advice for ba shikulu ba Sata. The so- called small parties cannot make Sata win. The people who can make you Mr.Sata to win are in North Western, Western, Central, Copperbelt rural, Lusaka rural, Eastern, parts of Northern province (Namwangas and Mambwes), Southern province etc. These are the people who perceive Sata as a person who has no respect for other tribes. These are the swing areas for Sata. The unfortunate part for Sata is that he is in perpetual denial about his character. Good luck ba Sata as you prepare to hang your political boots after the forth coming elections.

  9. “Mr Sata told Mandevu member of Parliament Jean Kapata to stop threatening the police that she would undress but should instead go to the Inter-City Bus Station and undress in protest against the suspension of the council.” end quote.

    Are you kidding me???

Mr. Sata, yet another opportunity wasted to explain your economical agenda for the nation. When are you ever going to talk about development?? I advise those “small parties” to shun Mr. Sata’s offer until he explains his economical agenda for the nation. Only then, can they decide whether working with Mr. Sata is a good idea or not.

  10. What has happened to Mr Sata? Is he posturing to his cadres or does he really expect the so called smaller parties to join hands with him? Has he asked himself why the “smaller parties” were formed in the first place instead of joining his party to make a large opposition? Clearly Mr Sata and PF do not inspire confidence in the “smaller parties”. They don’t seem to think much of PF policy and agenda, let alone the idea of Mr Sata as Republican President. The behaviour of PF leading to the break up of the UPND-PF has left these “smaller”parties with a sour taste in their mouth. The break up has not improved the ethnic image of the PF while the UPND has come out the angel, and by far the more reasonable party of the two.

  11. The battle lines have been drawn in this years election. It’s either change or no change. Sata does NOT and will NOT represent change. Voting for Sata is voting for MMD with a dictator and gay advocate at the helm. Real change will only come if you vote for HH. All young progressive parties should join UPND and ignore this comedian.

  12. Zambia Daily Mail News coverage is pathetic, to say the least. These Govt Media Houses need to be given semi-autonomy so that they can be reporting objectively, or preferably privatise them when the next Govt comes in. They are liabilities to the state finances……….

  13. I have said now and again UPND must not expend their energy talking about Mr Sata. Get busy organise your own house and lets meet in the nine provinces during campaigns. VIVA PABWATO

  14. Zed Patriot
HH free manson has no chance to win this elections i told you even yesterday, he can not win not even in 2026. the problem is no one out side southern province and a few from westrn and north western can vote for him.

  15. This is what makes me cum back from my hibernation, this is comic, it reminds me of Maximo and Sauzande, Zed please muzinkalako serious, no one seams to be sane from presdo to opposition. M.atuvi aya munayodoba kuti kansi????

  16. #18, I feel pity for you to think that if PF came to power it would privatise the state media. Mr Sata=PF has a background which is in the public domain. The idea of privatising the state media in order to give fair coverage to the opposition was discussed extensively when Mr Sata was a strongman in both MMD and in UNIP, and he vehemently opposed the idea. I am not aware that he has since changed his mind.
PF cadres, either you are deliberately and falsely trying to portray Mr Sata as a good leader or you were born this morning. There is massive amounts of information in the public domain on Mr Sata from 1964, and any serious voter who cares for this country would do well to familiarise themselves with the true character of this presidential candidate. Read the Post 1990 -2008.

  17. The Garden House Hotel togeter with Ndeke are owned by Mr Ross. Mr Ross is GAY. Sata will do anything for money.

  18. its an open secret that The Post is a propaganda tool for PF while Daily Mail for MMD.wat a shame our democracy has become. For one 2 mek a somewhat objective analysis of wats happening in our country you must read both or else you risk being fed with propaganda of which ever you read alone..

  19. On “Mr Sata, during his address, bragged that the PF is the undisputable leading opposition political party that should be assisted by what he termed “small opposition political parties” to oust the MMD from government in this year’s general elections“, too bad this serpent Sata MC has not learnt by now that insulting the other opposition parties as ‘small parties” is what caused him with his bad tribalism to be ditched by the mighty UPND Team. Also, it this serpent so dull that he has not understood the message from ADD, NMPP, Ben Mwila’s party, and others that they will not support PF because PF victimised UPND and that only wanted to share GRZ Administration positions without a programme to uplift Zambians’ lives.

    Tough luck PF.

Be blest all and vote for UPND 2011…

  20. On “Mr [serpent Micheal Chilufya] Sata described the [PF] MPs as docile… told Mandevu member of Parliament Jean Kapata to stop threatening the police that she would undress but should instead go to the Inter-City Bus Station and undress in protest against the suspension of the council” this serpent Sata MC has no respect for women and Zambian laws because he is encouraging a WOMAN Honourable Member of Parlian to indecently expose her womanhood to the whole world.

I thus urge all UPND women and others to demonstrate against this evil intention by Sata MC of causing a PF woman to be a source of degenerating morals in our society as well as corrupting young ladies to move in our Zambians streets in undressed mode.

Be blest all and vote for UPND 2011 to form GRZ Admin…

  21. DAILY MAIL DOGS MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO COVER PF BECAUSE THIS IS NOT TRUE.
COVER YOUR CHIFWEKELO,CHIFIRE AND MUMBI BWEZANI.
SAY WHAT YOU WANT ABOUT SATA AND PF .THE POST REPORTED WELL.
BE PART OF THE BALLOT REVOLUTION
VOTE SATA AND PABWATO COME 2011

  22. “Mr Sata told Mandevu member of Parliament Jean Kapata to stop threatening the police that she would undress but should instead go to the Inter-City Bus Station and undress in protest against the suspension of the council.”
hahahaah Revolution Zambian Style. Lets go and undress at intercity hahaha.

  23. if pf think they will win with the help of the kaponyas in lusaka and the copperbelt, they are sadly mistaken. as u have been told, go and campaign in the rural areas. believe it or not, thats were the masses are, not the chintibwingi u see when u tour intercity of millenium..

  24. daily mail or post there is no justification for him to ask other political parties to help him win and at the same time call them small…personally signs of someone getting big headed

Have you people even considered what he means by loose partnership???

  25. 4 parties have already said they will not join Sata with any pact.
Did Sata not read that in the news too?
So who is he asking this too now?
Nobody is going to join any pact with him and expect equality in decisions.
Sata just wants free votes that he lost in UPND when he kicked his horse a bit too hard.

  26. No normal person can form an alliance with Sata. The man is arrogant, dull and unpredictable.

I have never heard Sata use any economic terms to tell us what PF would do if they came into power (thank God they will never) This man does not even know what simple economic terms like GDP or inflation mean. He is only good when it comes to insults and wanting to see female PF MPs naked.

  27. The level of malicious propaganda by the state owned and govt controlled media houses is fear-provoking to say the least.
Reading this story by daily mail & comparing with what the Post reported just goes to confirm that the PF cadres have every right to possibly try and lynch reporters from Times, Daily & ZNBC.

Show us some level of civility in your reporting and not inserting your own terms and the attribute them to Sata. Its even better to be condescendingly indulgent and polite that be this malicious.

Your malicious propaganda will never kill the burning aspiration and spirit for regime change in our beloved country

When Sata says PF is the biggest opposition political party, that’s no bragging or accommodation of expedience but simply a statement of fact.

  28. iwe john phiri you are low low,why cant HH be voted by other provinces.you are the chief cheap tribalist around.Go ahead and vote for sata or is it rupia for us in the southern p,we have voted for others before but now voting for Sata or RB is like voting for V.J OR Munkombwe; old, finished,no economic agenda and taking zambia many years backwards. We ve offered you young, modern, energetic candidate all you see is tribe, this is so primitive and backward, tribe is a curse on Africa it seems.Shame.But atleast you accept that UPND Is more diversly loved and accepted, west, northwest, half of central, lusaka rural and a good number of votes in urban towns

  29. Let Jean Kapata announce when she would undress at Inter-city. We want to be there in numbers to see her nuidity.

  30. President Sata has promised the Zambian people that his 90 days commitment applies to Hon. Jean Kapata also launching her protest. Sata is happy that there is at least one 90 day pledge he can fulfill.

  31. surely how can there be such a different between the daily mail and the post newspaper articles on the same event. its a shame but the Post news paper article appears to reflect what was said while daily mail appear to exaggerate what satan said, its more of a personal biased option of what sata said as opposed to reporting what was said and the context in which it was said . why cant the journalists be professionals in their reporting. God help them to inform us correctly some that we could form our own informed options.

  32. Jean Kapata shud be ashamed of herself. She is too loyal for nothing. Shameless retired NURSE. Viva HH. The boat has no captain for proper direction. Its RB again. Ask TB Joshua.

  33. Ba Sata poseniko amano. This is not presidential language. How do you encourage an old old unattractive woman to go and undress in public? I would rather see a nude Mampi!!

  34. The battle line is being drawn, wake up, this is the time to give MMD warning shots, they are packing, whether they want or not. the anti-rigging monitoring watch dog is far much more ahead of the MMD think tanks, not this year. we are ahead in everything, our strategies are evening surpassing that of the intelligent officials . Just wait and see when RB annouces the election day. he needs to clear up hi intray coz there would be no time for him to delay to leave our peoples house at plot one.

  35. @Nshi Sunda Chisunde Sunde Kano Fye Mu Muntu

Even in the post havent you read the reference to UPND then the statement of small parties follow the the undisputed blah blah blah…

To follow blindly just read factual statements as they are…
The fact is each paper has decided to report on what they think is news people will be interested in…
i thought the article in the post is good start and end except for that middle part where he gets big headed and calls on small parties to help him win… Also the fact that he wants a loose alliance just for elections means they can easily be pushed aside afterwards… in other words we dont really need you but help us get into power

  36. Continuing on “Mr Sata told Mandevu member of Parliament Jean Kapata to stop threatening the police that she would undress but should instead go to the Inter-City Bus Station and undress in protest against the suspension of the council“, it is disgusting that PF Mandevu MP Jean KAPATA is also considering or planning to do a strip tease at a Police Station of her choice.

I hope the Police will enforce its (new) laws of not attending to those who dress indecently when they go to the Police by actually locking the PF MP when she will do the strip tease whether at a police station or Intercity Bus Terminus so that the Police send a clear message to would-be offenders to others to behave properly in public.

Vote for UPND to form GRZ Administration under HH as President.
    _
    Matt…

  37. BA LT U ARE USELESS. IF U WANT STOP COVERING THE PF….U ARE FULL OF SHEEEEEET. THIS NOT TRUE AND U WANT US TO RISE AGAINST U IF U CONTINUE BEHAVING LIKE THIS.

  38. # 43 Uchipo
Sata describes other political parties as “small” in antonymic context and not in vilification or in a conscious hodgepodge manner with insufficient political reality on the ground.

The Post Newspaper article is balanced, convincing and believable. On the other hand the daily mail misrepresents reality making readers like you believe that the entire speech was anchored on what they reported.

No wonder the Post Newspaper has set the agenda. They do their job very well

  39. These propagandists who call themselves journalists cant even write on my toilet paper! Notice how the Daily Malaise reports “Mr Sata, who claimed the PF is the biggest opposition …” Satat is not claiming. This is a fact. You dont have to be a member of PF to know that the party is the biggest opposition. Only a member of the MMD can dispute that-Only a propagandist cant dispute that. What kind of journalism is taught in Zambian colleges? In Washington we would stop reading trash written by propagandists. We prefer reports by journalists

  40. The Post Newspaper is an image builder for Sata so they will filter out any news that does not favour Sata. The daily papers are doing a good job covering the hidden stories. The Post is the most biased paper in Zambia and nothing they will do will stop UPND from expanding. Even the MMD is doing well despite a hate campaign orchestrated by Mmembe against RB. The people of Zambia will be making a choice between continuing with the status quo or going for change. HH represents that change and people on the ground are responding to that message. UPND is campaigning on the ground and through the air waves and gaining momentum by the day!!!!

  41. Patriotic Front (PF) President, Michael Sata has asked people, disappointed in the demise of the PF-UPND Pact, not to boycott this year’s general elections.

Mr Sata has explained that people should not be disappointed with the demise of the opposition political parties’ alliance.

He has instead advised that they cast their ballots during the general elections in order to be guaranteed of the political leadership change they need.

  42. Mr Sata has explained that many Zambians are living in abject poverty therefore it is only their vote, which will bring change.

He has since expressed optimism that a grand opposition coalition will be formed before the general elections.

  43. The UPND in central province says the party and its former pact partner the PF owes sympathizers of the pact an apology on the break up.

Central province UPND youth chairperson Kelvin Ngoma has charged that the breakup of the pact is a betrayal to the pact sympathizers.

He says HH owe the people of Zambia an apology for taking them for granted over the sustainability of the pact.Mr. Ngoma disclosed that after the demise of the pact he now intends to join the Heritage Party or Patriotic Front

  44. How can a sane man say such f.oolish words:
“… stop threatening the police that you would undress but you should instead go to the Inter-City Bus Station and undress in protest against the suspension of the council..”
    Is this man normal???????

  45. SOME FOOD FOR THOUGHT…………. There is a very high incidence of homosexuality in prison. A lot of young men are enticed abroad for the “good life” by European homosexuals. DID YOU KNOW……. That Sata spent close to a year in prison in the early 1960’s? That Sata was a young man when released from prison in the early 1960″s? That Sata did not have the money after his release from prison to go to the UK? (Where does a young recently released ex-convict get money to go to the UK?)That Sata did not have a scholarship to go to the UK after his stint in prison? BUT I still do not know when Sata got exposed to homosexuality and why he defends it.

  46. No. 54, could it be that the crowds have gone there in the hope that Jean Kapata is about to start her protest? I am catching a taxi to go and see for myself, maybe Mumbi Phiri and Dr. Kuseba Sata will also join into the Jean Kapata inspired protest!!!!!!!!!!!

  47. ‘small parties’ may not obey this derictive because of the tone in which it is given. The big man really has to learn alot about humility.

  48. People of zed this is not a person who can occupy plot 1 surely we can do better why should he encourage a lady to stripe that is relegating her to a worthless person. If he values his wife enough for her not to be asked to stripe in public why should he ask another. First he advocates GAY RIGHTS NOW HE ADVOCATES STRIPING IN PUBLIC ,this is why we should not give instruments of power to PF they will turn this country into a SATANIC ONE GOD FORBID!
He should expose them even more: GAY RIGHTS ,STRIPPERS WHAT NEXT?

  49. #54, thts the kind of myopia we talk abt sata.who doesnt know thts his stronghold? and which votes is he trying to win over coz i dont think the demographic composition of the area has changed since 2008.lack of strategy will mek PF fish in dry ponds again ths yr during elections.if he was strategic enuf,he wud hav gon to campaign more in the areas he lost in 2008 bcoz mandevu votes are more like “guaranteed” for him.anyway, let him continue wit his poor strategy coz i wud shudder at having as presdent.

  50. #63 Ka Eagle
be serious man how do you expect him to be in the rural areas when he had a provincial conference yesterday in Lusaka. just watch the space we know , this time around we are going to campaign more especially in Western and North Western Provinces.

  51. Atleast from this story one can see that mr Sata has finally come to terms with the break up of the PACT. Stop crying over spilt milk sir, the pact is over, thats how reality works.
How about doing us a brief flash over PVT yourself sir, Jean Kapata could easily join in if you show ‘leadership’.

  52. I advise Sata to continue campaigning with these illiterates. Atleast thats where he can get a vote. For those of you who have the brains I think you woudn’t go for such ch.aps.

  53. By the way is Mumbi also undressing at intercity. I wish I could get there in time on my next flight. Free pipos bane! Sangwapo!

  54. what Post is reporting is a speech Sata NEVER wrote or made at the conference. That rubbish in the Post is Membe who wrote. ask those who were there and you will find the daily mail has written the truth. all those things about barotse sata never talked about in his speech. the man never reads from prepared speeches. he always speaks off the cuff.

  55. When democracy in the name of HH comes, unddressing women in public as encouraged by recycled politicians in MC Sata will be a thing of the past. In MMD women wake up 04:00 AM to go to the airport to sing for Banda whenever he is leaving or arriving from somewhere, ladies and gentlement, women are respected members of every society and taking them for granted should be an acceptable. We need a productive society where women and men work for their families to better their living standards. Democracy does not call for abuse of the poor but creating a good environment for them to have something, but what we see in this recycled politicians is taking advantage of the poor, and they would rather have many poor so that they can have many to shower them with praises in airports. Vote for HH.

  56. 59 John Phiri
That is exactly what my twin Tweedledee says. Or are you Tweedledee blogging as “John Phiri”? I should have guessed!!!!!

  57. the owner of garden house hotel gaudenzio rossi is a catholic and well known gay man. so sata is now congregating with gays. but its not the first time. even george memirgas sata’s partner in the merzaf scandall was also gay. people be careful with these satana and membe. they gays want to take over our country. even ka john phiri bakakulasa ku mputi very soon

  58. Sata can do anything to win elections as a recycled politician, he can even divide the nation if thats what can make him win votes. If this is the political experience people are talking about, then some of us cannot buy it. Experienced politicians like Sata can even kill to think of removing him from power, like Gaddafi. there is too much desperation on this man, mark my words if he wins he will never leave power. The man showed us who he is on the third term bide and the Chawama saga where he was able to kill those who opposed his view. WE SAY NO TO RECYCLED POLITICIANS IN ZAMBIA.

  59. garden house hotel is owned by a homo gaudenzio rossi and sata’s former business partner mermigas was also the same type of dog. so all you tuma pf cadres like john phiri and others you will soon be hammered yakumbuyo!!! what nonsense. zambians be careful with these monsters and satanists in pf. now they want to start free striptease shows starting with jean kapata!!

  60. I’m really by that there are people willing to put this man as the head of state. He will embarass Zambia big time. First he has no respect for our mothers. How can he ask a grown woman to go and strip in front of 90% young people at the station? Why should she strip anyway? Just to get him in Sate House? She’d be equally demented. We need leaders with credentials, please mwatusebanya pafula. Zambian ladies see how he has no respect for you now. And when he’s in power do you expect him to respect you? Zambia wake up please!!!!!!!

  61. LT why are you blocking me????? anyway you allow buffoons like John Phiri to display their ignorance here

  62. john phiri aka wynter kabimba. John Phiri says:
    March 17, 2011 at 3:46 pm
its the Zambians on the ground who are calling for the pact…SATA is good leader he listens to the people. if you don´t know there is a campaign going on right now people are saying that NO pact NO vote. lets work together guys we can not let our country been destroyed by the MMD.

TODAY YOU HAVE CHANGED YOUR TUNE AGAIN ABOUT UPND

  63. thank God iam not voting…but iam ok with either sata or RB. kaili i dont expect them to run in 2016 and they too old to live extravagant and expensive life style at the expense of the poor Zedian. for Sata i think he would make civil service more effective and efficient, improve public service delivery. workers esp civil servants would see improved conditions of service, they would be receiving decent wages. better foreign investment policy, better policies to deal with the high poverty level in the country and grow the economy. i believe Sata is more able than Rb but let the best man win!!!

  64. #77 i said the people who supported the pact have now endorsed SATA including UPND cadres and not UPND as a party but its cadres i hope you understand this simple English.

  65. SATA IS NOW DESPERATE. IF HE IS SO STRONG ON THE GROUND WHY DOES HE NEED THE SO-CALLED SMALL PARTIES????? YOU KNOW WHEN YOU HAMMER AN A….HOLE IT AFFECTS YOUR THINKING. EVEN THE CADRES ARE CONFUSED

  66. @John Phiri, wats the PF policy on education, health, agriculture, Mining and Tourism? just briefly,u dont nid to write big paragraphs.calling each names and insults wil nt help us at all.

  67. IWE FAKE PHIRI YOU ARE A CONFUSED CHAP. JUST A FEW DAYS AGO WHEN YOU THOUGHT THE PACT WAS STILL ON YOU WERE PRAISING UPND. WHICH UPND CADRES ARE THOSE?? BECAUSE THE ONLY UPND CADRE THAT HAS SPOKEN IS THE CENTRAL PROVINCE YOUTH LEADER AND HE SAID HE IS JOINING HERITAGE AND NOT PF. AS FOR PANJI THE CHAP JUST WANTS MONEY FROM RB. ONCE HE GETS IT HE WILL DITCH SATA AND MEMBE. PHIRI YOU WILL BE THE FIRST VICTIM OF YAKUMBUYO!! EVEN THE HOTEL YOU HAD YOUR CONFERENCE AT IS OWNED BY A HOMO LIKE YOUR BOSS AND PAMPHLET EDITOR

  68. ”Nkhuyuma yuma, Tula khumu ruling’a” reminds me of 2001 election results slogan. they swallowed a bitter pill !!!!. In 2006, they threw sakwiba out of the driving seat bcoz he was not one them and exhumed someone 6metres feet below political datum to be leader of their party who is POLITICALLY IMPOTENT. They managed to dribble Nawakwi, Tilyenji based on the previous statistics of 2001. Now they wanted to use cobra as their ladder but refused to use the same formular they used with FDD and UNIP in 2006 elections. Bcoz it did not work, hence the break up and bitterness on our friends side. Be real with the facts, SATA is BIG.

  69. #82 Ka Eagle says:
PF launched a new manifesto yesterday i don ´t have it, i only have the old version so i will not give you the policies now, better later after seeing the new manifesto.

  70. Change for the sake of change Zambians awe i think i will comment some more once i see Sata also says what he will do to progress the country and not those 90 days fimo fimo…

A leader that people are desparate to protect and follow can be a very dangerous one especially if they has a history of not being stable and a bully…

Some people naturally luck people skills like bamwenye the way they chusha bakaboyi though this was common in the UNIP and chiluba days, so here is hoping they dont do that anymore…

  71. Can someone enlighten me correctly. After the homosexual fall-out, is the politician of all seasons advocating for indecent exposure?

  72. @ John #84

How come not even the post has reported on that manifesto???

Dont you think thats what they should be concentrating my guess there was no planned out manifesto they are hoping to set agenda once in power more like on auto pilot to react on what is in public at that particular time… so as long as someone can come on TV or radio make a few jokes Zambians will be happy…
Am afraid thats is not the way to run the country a wasted 5 years trying to work out what happens next…

  73. ARE YOU SURE THEY LAUNCHED A MANIFESTO AND IT IS ACTUALLY PRINTED??? JOHN P I ADMIRE YOUR KAPONYA CONFIDENCE!!

  74. Uchipo #87
which post do you read the newspaper of today has reported that PF launched a new manifesto. check it out its free on line.

  75. #88
what are you talking about you are just full of haterd for the man, don´t call me a kaponya i am far much better than your father and mother conbined.

  76. ” PATRIOTIC Front (PF) president Michael Sata yesterday *pleaded* with opposition political parties to help his party win this year’s tripartite elections by forming loose political alliances with his party. Mr Sata, during his address, *bragged* that the PF is the undisputable leading opposition political party ”

Pleaded? Bragged? Is the Lusaka Times state owned or MMD owned? Because it is an indisputable fact that the PF is the largest opposition party. Saying so isn’t ‘bragging’.

  77. JOHN PHIRI, HAVE YOU SEEN THE SAID MANIFESTO???? POST MERELY SAID IT WAS LAUNCHED BUT THERE IS NO ANALYSIS OR QUOTE FROM THE MANIFESTO. YOU ARE A BIG KAPONYA BECAUSE ANYONE WHO SUPPORTS SATA MUST SURELY BE MISSING A SCREW IN THE HEAD AND AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED HE IS A ‘KAPONYA SQUARED’. GET A LIFE MATE. REMEMBER YOU WILL SOON BE HAMMERED YAKUMBUYO FOR ALL YOUR VAIN SUPPORT. PF IS NOW THE RELEGATED TO THIRD AFTER UPND AND MMD. THE REAL CHANGE IS HH NOT SATA OR RB. EVERY SENSIBLE ZAMBIAN CAN SEE THAT

  78. no90, HAVE YOU SEEN THE SAID MANIFESTO???? POST MERELY SAID IT WAS LAUNCHED BUT THERE IS NO ANALYSIS OR QUOTE FROM THE MANIFESTO. 79. no90 come on! HAVE YOU SEEN THE SAID MANIFESTO???? POST MERELY SAID IT WAS LAUNCHED BUT THERE IS NO ANALYSIS OR QUOTE FROM THE MANIFESTO. YOU ARE A BIG KAPONYA BECAUSE ANYONE WHO SUPPORTS SATAna MUST SURELY BE MISSING A SCREW IN THE HEAD AND AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED HE IS A ‘KAPONYA SQUARED’.

  80. Democratization of the party, brilliant manifesto, I have no doubt PF is forming government. This is the party to belong to. Sata lead us twavutika.

  81. Don’t forget Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize.
He is now implicated in 3 wars: Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya.

  82. No amount of pressure can make me change my mind to vote for MC Sata, as long as his past deeds remain in my head. We should not forget so easily that athe 10 year rule of Sata and Chiluba saw the worst economy zambia had ever experienced in history. Everything was on ground zero economically, but dispite all this Sata still wanted his boss to go for the third to plunder more, for God’s sake only a person with problems in the head can support him, not us with sound mind and thinking capcity. If Sata meant well for the nation and had the people at heart, why did he support a regime which was plundering the economy and selling Zambian companies without putting policies to pretect citizens from abuse. We would rather have RB in power than this monster as president of zambia.

  83. Where are the wives of Sata and Scott and the hubbies of these girls in the picture? Is it not tempting when our politicians are always mixing with other people’s spouses? It is now becoming fashionable to gallivant around the country without the Missus or the Mister. It is not healthy and it doesn’t give a good example to the youngsters.

  84. Mwanawasa a man integrit left MMD when he saw that what Sata and Chiluba were doing plundering our resources, he resigned as Vice president of Zambia. The second reason for Mwanawasa’s resignation was that he was sidelined as vice-president instead Sata was the one working as vice-president. In terms of tribal balance these guys Sata and Chiluba were so pathetic, in their regime they made sure that no Tonga, Lozi etc or rather someone from small tribes was appointed as vice president despite people voting for them over whelmingly, and today he can preach of uniting us, under my foot will I believ him. As a mature person at that time, I could see unfaireness in this regime of Sata and Chiluba. They chased Mwanawasa so that they could remain on their own and Sata was the driver of such…

  85. I just returned from zambia. I visited Solwezi, Chingola, Ndola and Lusaka. My impression from the cities is that they want change but are worried at the prospect of “jumping from frying pan into fire”.
It is a rock and a hard place choice.

When I talked to my ex- schoolmates in Chingola, most of them said, they will vote for Sata, though they would have preferred to go for a younger candidate, Elias or HH, but the odds are that the real fite will be btwn RB and Sata.

  86. I just returned from zambia. I visited Solwezi, Chingola, Ndola and Lusaka. My impression from the cities is that they want change but are worried at the prospect of “jumping from frying pan into fire”.
It is a rock and a hard place choice.
    be btwn RB and Sata.

  87. Chilufya Sata is delusional. You want the other parties to join you but you can’t even hide your arrogance by calling them ‘small’?

  88. The reason why Zambia is poor is because of the 10 years Sata/Chiluba economic plundering, as KK left the economy in a good shape. If the economy of Zambia was taken up by reasonable people, this time we would be one of the most prosperous country. No wonder many do not believe what this man Sata can pretend to be today.

  89. Sata & Mmembe have something in common.
Sata owes Taiwanese champs big sums of millions – Why has he not come and disputed the story
Mmembe owes money from his failed Airline & the K36b overdraft from Finance Bank.

  90. PF launched a 50 page manifesto yesterday so far analyst are saying that it is far much better that of the MMD and MMD…IT IS SIMPLY THE BEST, WATCH THE SPACE UBWATO BWISA

  91. #Muyangana, for real sometimes us Bembas are abit selfish, looking down on others. I have now turned 360 degree angle for HH he is main. I am such a fair Bemba who accepts other tribes, and I feel HH is the best for the Job to move the economy, character assasination is for the incompetent people who have nothing to offer for the zambian people. Tanzania is moving forward because they have someone who is energetic to move the economy.

  92. to you HH is the real change but the problem is that southern province along will not make him a president waigila ka?

  93. PF’s manifesto is in Sata’s head, as he openly told us that a manifesto is just a piece of paper. So those who are talking of pf manifesto are just dreamers who feel they should have one but leadership cannot allow. PF has never had a manifesto as everything starts and ends with Sata.

  94. Live updates from the rally begin at 3pm.
15:55 Guy Scott currently and then Sata comes on.
    17:00 PF president currently speaking.
17:19 -Alfred Banda former Councilor for the UNIP government resigns from UNIP to join PF.
    – Sata brags that he walked through Mtendere compound without Police escort as he is one of them

  95. Sata says God has stopped manufacturing new countries; and Zambia is what he gave us and we must take care of Zambia.
    – Sata calls on youth to join his fight against the MMD. He and Guys Scott were old and youth were lucky that they were still around speaking for them.
    1745:
    – Every Tuesday: MMD bring Chanda Chimba on ZNBC to tell lies about me. I know this young man; he actually disowned his own father.
    – Last night in his Ka program he said I was from Tanzania; he should go further and mention the village in Tanzania where I’m supposedly from. At least I know the villages of Rupiah Banda and Ka William Banda in Malawi.

  96. east I know the villages of Rupiah Banda and Ka William Banda in Malawi.
    – MMD had a convention at Garden Hotel earlier in the year and PF did not disturb them; so why come disturb PF’s conference? Bamvela Manta!
    – Sata jokes to some unruly cadre: “Iwe behave..!naka tie kaku Soweto market.”
    – Crowds chant OP, OP in reference to the red tie cadre. We have more PF member’s in the OP office and they talked to us,Sata says. Sata continues; if the youth you do not fight for your vote on your own into the elections; no one will fight for you.
    – Sata asked residents of Mandevu to be part of the miracle by identifying and asking all those who have not registered to do so now.

  97. Sata bemoans, that 47 years after independence, why are people still dying from malaria and cholera… (Crowd chants… shame; shame…).
    – The bible tells us Jesus was sold for 50 pin by greedy and violent people.
    – Do not go out there and fight with people who were given 50pin…fight them with the TRUTH because the truth is more powerful than violence.
    – Last month people died in Western province and the other week in Mazabuka, we would have also died yesterday at Garden hotel…
    – Crowd frenzy and interrupts Sata with chants of “We want change, we want change!”

  98. Sata attacked RB’s scheme to change the law just so that he can be paid 100% gratuity before the elections this year while people on the streets are in abject poverty.
    – Sata disclosed that last week he wrote to Dora Siliya-Minister of Education not to fidget with the school calendar in order to disadvantage College and University Students from voting.
    – Sata reminds and warns notorious MMD cadre Chris Chalwe, that while William Banda’s relatives are in Malawi, his are in Zambia and suffering the same with PF members and other poor Zambians.

  99. Sata reverted to Chanda Chimba that fighting with a young person and of Chimba’s caliber; people would not differentiate who the fool was between the two of them.
    – Sata concludes…crowd frenzy…chants…LELO LELO; LELO LELO…

  100. Take it or leave it HH is winning this time around as many I have talked to in Zambia feel they have been marginalised by these recycled politicians, as people should come and go, if they need to be active it should be on advisory point.

  101. John Phiri, you stink with your Sata stories. Like many others have said, your level of education is questionable. Are you a Satan worshopper.

Your English is also below standards. Its indeed true that Sata likes manpulatin people of your calibre.

  102. If Sata never participated in politics for 47 years, and supported all bad atrocities e.g the third term, I would believe him today. The fact that he is a recycled politician with even a record of economic plunder with Chiluba, never will will I believe him.

  103. For your information John Phiri, in casz you were a young boy. MCSata went and collected 2 billion kwach in a trank from BOZ straight to state house and later to Mulungushi Rock of Authority to advance calls for third term.

We can tell you more about Sata if you like; Understand Zambian politics before you talk rubi.sh ba John.

By the way how old are you?

  104. Further ask Guy Scott how he slaughterd pigs at his farm to pay himself in the name of swine disease.

Please John take a life and engange in constructive dialogue, otherwise you re just exposing your ignorance

I end here for now, lest I can sink low like your boat

  105. Very poor reporting indeed. Your headline says “Sata calls on small parties to back PF”. Your opening sentence says “ …Sata yesterday pleaded with opposition political parties to help his party win this year’s tripartite elections by forming loose political alliances with his party…” . In your very next paragraph you gone to state…”Mr Sata, during his address, BRAGGED that the PF is the undisputable leading opposition political party that should be assisted by what he termed “small opposition political parties” to oust the MMD from government in this year’s general elections…” Full of contradictions. You don’t “brag” when you are trying to “plead” for help, surely. Poor journalism or agenda journalism; which is which Zambia Daily Mail?

  106. Jojo (JM)
WHATS WRONG WITH YOU MAN, WHAT HAVE YOU EATEN?? YOUR HH HAS GOT NOT SUPPORT FROM THE PEOPLE THATS NOT MY PROBLEM OK?

  107. Nice example. Bo Chomba @124! We should therefore all support Rupiah who has only been in politics for the last three years compared to Sata’s 47 years in politics, and who did not support the third term but only supported the abogus acquittal of thieves who plundered the country, and who is definitely much younger and healthier than Sata. Way to go!!.

  108. Chomba says:
ITS GOOD THAT YOU ARE NOW SEEING SENSE IN SATA THANK YOU VERY MUCH, IF YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN THERE IS WHAT WE CALL FORGIVENESS AND REPENTANCE.

  109. #97 MrK, all the statistics that you have given us before have been discredited. What makes you think that we should believe this one?

  110. Ba John Phiri, thanks for the update from wherever the rally is taking placing. I am still waiting for an update where your saviour, Sata, will articulate a policy issue – instead of the catalogue of his percieved enemies…

  111. The more I see Sata the more he reminds me of his past. History will never be erased in my head and am ready to lecture those who were born yesterday believing that Sata can bring change to Zambia. I would accept if they mean change for the worste and not the meaningful change we want. We cannot solve problems with their same causes which have failed us before. NO RECYCLED POLITICIAN TO CHEAT US MORE as we want to choose our destiny.

  112. #130 we can forgive those who show repentance and ask for forgiveness, but not the caribre of MC Sata. Sata’s sins cannot even be forgiven as they are too many.

  113. MMD cadres attack PF conference
MMD cadres yesterday morning physically attacked PF members who were attending their party provincial conference at Lusaka’s Garden House Hotel.

PF cadres who were caught up in the fracas

The MMD cadres who were armed with machetes and slashers had earlier on pitched a tent about 80 metres away from the hotel where they also hung a big banner bearing the message ‘2011 RB FOR PRESIDENT’. Others put up stands at Munjili market opposite Garden House Hotel and disguised themselves as traders.

The cadres then blocked the Lusaka-Mumbwa road resulting in unprecedented traffic jam in an apparent bid to prevent PF leader Michael Sata from attending the conference.

They later advanced towards the hotel entrance at about 09:15 hours and started beating…

  114. Quotable quotes to give john Phiri sound sleep tonight:
    1. Peter Daka: “….Zambians should not allow a man in State House to become first lady because of gay rights….”
    2. Ms Chama: “…Mr Sata is a tyrant who would ruin the country’s young democracy.
    3. Ms Mwale: “.. Mr Sata had been condemned for his gay stance for a long time but now it had become clear that he would not change….”
    4. House of Chiefs Chairperson Chief Madzimawe: ”…There is no sensible man who can marry another man, or let alone have an intimate relationship. Even animals don’t do that…”

  115. PATRIOTIC Front (PF) president Michael Sata yesterday pleaded with opposition political parties to help his party win this year’s tripartite elections. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. Micheal, Micheal the road to plot 1 should begin with a good programme (Manifesto) to develop the country and not win elections then start the Manifesto. Please start explaining to the electorate why they should vote for you, by explaining the issues you are going to tackle to reduce the poverty and develop the country.

  116. Dont force people to vote for sata. those of you guys who are decided for pabwato that is great ifwe ni pa mpindi chabe

  117. Instead of telling Mandevu member of Parliament Jean Kapata to go to the Inter-City Bus Station and undress, he should get his wife that Kaseba to go there and undress! It is such satanic suggestions laced with stinking gender bigotry that makes this lunatic the most vile serpent on the Zambian political landscape. Or maybe he better go there and undress himself, so that we see the size of his genital endowment! I would not be surprised he has a pencil dick that why he compensates for the deficiency by a serious dosage of ubunangwa.

  118. Bad Journalism at its best. Daily Mail stinks a lot. It looks like the reporters are poorly trained or are part of the high lever political corruption. I have not read anything in that newspaper which is sensible, yet the reporters are kept on salaries.

  119. Col.Panji we are please with what you are doing ,please try to extend your voice to northern ,central ,western ,southern ,luapula and north western provinces by advocating the people”s pact.NGOs please join in finincially for col panji s call .Proffesor chirwa where are you , please join in panji s call ,Proffesor hansengule please we need you input ,Professor Nduna in the USA please we need your input your country need change from distraction by the current regime .please ,please our learned people from the diaspora we are on our knees povide input in the failure of the pact .Proffesor chirwa did a lot of input but to our surprise you have all kept quite. Its our country of our children, children s childrens and children s children please ,please please lets join Col panji to insure…

  120. No intellectual worth his/her salt would consider working with Sata or supporting him for the presidency. It’s only one man parties or desparate comedians like Panji, Mpombo or Nawakwi who can sopport such a directionless homo advocate.

  121. Did Jean threaten to undress before the police? What did women organisations say about it? What are they saying now after Sata has commented? The Posts criticism is meant to be a strong social voice and thats why when laws are being changed to suit individuals, a concern is raised by them ( State media is mute in such matters). Even Sata has been severaly critised before. VIVA the Post. As for LT they tend to be in the middle depending on the source of inf. ( own opinion)

  122. It seems Sata has found another miracle cure for the Zambian economy on top of the 90 days solution: encourage homosexuality to reduce the population growth as a way of reducing govt expenditure.

  123. thax Mr President for yo diplomacy. I think its Uncle William at ply again. Democracy at its best where u alow cadres to take the law in their hands for what has been termed pulling down a flag.

  124. Mayday! Mayday! Mayday! Captain the ship is sinking. Captain the seas are rough. Can we abandon the ship or we say on it and perish………………………

  125. #148 If you are pleading for Sata, forget some of us do not forget easily what he did to the economy with his Chiluba. We want people with morals not Sata who fought for the third term for Chiluba, which is against the constitution of Zambia. This man is not even suppose to be standing in front of people or even be a leader in a political party because he has not morals to say the least. Voting for Sata will just be the same as voting for Gaddafi of Libya. Shame on this imoral recycled politician.

  126. I think Sata is suffering from head damage disease, if his party is the biggest and most popular as he claims , why is he pleading for more support, i’m sure he can win the elections by himself.

So do it by youself we see if you can oust the MMD.

  127. It is time for real change. HH is the CHANGE WE NEED. Kaponyas, keep crying. We understand your confusion. Selling your old man is like trying to convince would-be buyers of ‘fresh’ fish that the fish is very fresh despite the almost ‘audible’ stench. I know that most (not all) of those that are against this young man are just against his tribe. If HH was just to change his names to some names from certaing provinces it would be a total whitewash of the rest of the candidates. Tribe will take us nowhere. Chiluba came from Luapula but how much better is Luapula from the rest of Zed. likewise, KK came from Chinsali. take a look at Chinsali town or just the road leading there. Levy was a ndola Rural man. Anything to talk about there?

  128. Fellow countrymen and women, tribe is nothing but integrity, morality and civility are everything. Why is the retirement age set at 55? but here we are discussing which of the two 75-year olds should be our next presidents? Shame on us all!!! This is why Africa is 50 years behind compared with other continents. Listening to the once-upon- a-time leading proponent of United States of Africa, one wonders what type of pipo can have such an illiterate and immature man for President. SHAME. it is Time for REAL CHANGE!!! Hate me, love me, insult me or whatever but I think the message has hit some of you below the belt. I rest my case

  129. When KK was in power he left alsmos 320 companies owned by the state. Employment average was above 500 persons. They has housing units to house their employees, they had training schools, had strong human resource development programmes in tune with colleges and universities.
    Our exvhange rate was K6.40=USD1.00
by the time Chiluba and SATA were done with this economy…..the exchange rate was K5,200=USD1.00
When chiluba came on board….he flashed out from MMD people like Aurthur Wina,Levey Mwanawasa, …….all the companies went down during chiluba…..and left thousands of Zambia on the streets…no terminal benefits paid…..SATA was defacto Vice President…since he was more powerful than the VICE PRESIDENT……after this distruction of the ZAMBIAN economy why do we need SATA???

  130. In 2016, if it so happens that Sata wont be around, I will vote for anybody else available other that “ngombe illede” (HH).

  131. Good analysis Dawa1. sata will have to learn to respect other tibes. I dont know why bloggars like John Phiri think that the PF/UPND differences are a rift between tongas and bembas. Its not only people in sothern province who do not want John phiri god, sata but those in western , north western, part of luapula, northern and central province feel insulted by sata. Lusaka and Copperbelt is not Zambia. Wina azalilia.
