Zesco United swept a jaded Young Buffaloes of Swaziland off the park to record a 5-0 win at Trade Fair Grounds in a Caf Champions League first round first leg match.
Young Buffaloes braved fatigued following their arrival in Ndola on the eve of the match after a 48 hour overland trip from Swaziland.
Alfred Luputa was the hero of the day with a hat-trick that saw him score two goals in the first half in the 2nd and 11th minutes.
Luputas turned provider in the 15th minute for Kangwa Chileshe to help make it 3-0 into halftime.
Nicholas Zulu made it 4-0 in the 67th minute while Luputa completed his hat trick in the 77th minute.
The two teams will meet in a fortnight’s time in Manzini to decide which team advances to the second round.
