  1. # 3,Cops shot dead two socer fans while they were peacefully watching the Chelsea versus Man U game.Cops wanted the people watching the game to disperse as the tarvern was operating beyond the stipulated time.

  2. VJ Rigger, please don’t turn this into an insane PF UPND MMD cadre discourse. I am tired of politics. Mazabuka is a nice town I recall my visit some years back.

  3. It’s actually quite clean. Hope bloggers notice that, picture 5 how lovely grown real wise Zambian men protecting the children from grown ups gone cookoo.

  4. We morned the loss of lives taken away by Zambia Police. Lives nerver to be replaced. Triger happy police aimed to kill. May the Souls of our beloved Mazabukans Rest in Peace.

  5. WHEN THE 3 BAROTSE PROTESTORS WERE KILLED IN COLD BLOOD, U PIPO WERE LAUGHING & SAYING ITS A LESSON TO US. NOW ITS AT YOUR DOORSTEP & BY MANY MORE ARE TO BE SLAUGHTERED BY THE END OF THE ELECTIONS BY YOUR PRIMITIVE POLICE FORCE THAT HAS REFUSED TO RESPECT HUMAN LIFE. ITS MINDSET IS STILL STUCK IN THE PRE-COLONIAL ERA.

  6. Now, LT can you also show pictures of Mongu riots where two (02No.) Lives were also lost and many others injured due to Po-Lice brutality.

  7. #10 Say RSA stoolpid, You are back secessionist again! Mongu is different and was justified and this is different and was wrong. What part of treason Munyukuku fela don’t you understand? Don’t bring Mongu into this.

  8. Let us look for solutionz to avoid such unnecessary problemz in future. Who did or didn’t what here will not take anybody anywhere. Civic education on the part of out police officerz and proper interpretation of council by-lawz to the citizenry will go a long way. Discretion by law enforcerz depending on what iz obtaining iz at a particular time iz vital.

  9. Paradise Zambia, sometimes I wonder why we are poor. Give this land to the Jews, you will see a country much much better than the USA.

  10. umm #4 stop lying. the riots started because 2 people had been killed in a stampede that started when police fired tear gas into a pub after the match. people had been told to leave so the pub cud close before shishita but instead they wanted to stay and chat/drink. to clear the place the police gassed the pub. as everybody hurried outside, 2 people ended up being trampled to death. get your facts right you lier!!!

  11. The nation is ungovernable. There are riots over Zambia. Mongu, Mazabuka, Lusaka PF/MMD cadres. We are headed for disaster this year. It only three months in 2011 but its worse already.

  12. #13 manyukunyuku, DO POLICE SHOOT @ U IN THE USA FOR PROTESTING? U GO ABOUT SWEEPING STREETS OR CLEANING OLD PIPO WITHOUT BEING SHOT AT, DON’T U? SO WHAT MAKES U THINK BAROTSE PIPO ARE LESS DESERVING TO LIFE THAN U? THE SUBECT OF THE MATTER IS YOUR BACKWARD POLICE & THEIR ABUSE OF PIPO’S RIGHTS. THE COLONIALISTS & LATER KK USED THEM EFFECTIVELY TO OPPRESS U ZAMBIANS & NOTHING HAS CHANGED TO THIS DAY!!! DONT BURY YOUR STOOLPID EMPTY HEAD IN THE SAND.

  13. Feb and march has been a period marked with disastera, loss of lives through rioting, demostrations for removal of represive regimes earth quake and tsunami in Japan.

  14. Ya, they shoot if you are declaring a part of the whole as independent! Again for Mazabuka it was an isolated incident which was done by one or two people who didn’t know what they were doing and must be disciplined. For Mongu, it was justified and if it comes up again, it will be justified!

  15. Its very sad to learn of the shooting by Police regarding people watching football…it should not be allowed and be condemned with strongest words, hope the law takes its course urgently…Honest Kayira(Cape Town)

  16. these policemen are becoming assasins!!!! we should not sit down and say its one of those things! this tendency has to be condemned, police are supposed to protect the citizens and not kill them! plse!!! Next it will be on yr door step it could be yr family or mine. Kashi nishi so just why who is giving these instructions? shoot to kill nosense Atase! its annoying and disgusting.

  17. #29 Everywhere in Zambia is green now because this is the rain season. When were in Zambia even to forget the seasons?

  18. I wonder if some people here are satisfied with themselves after posting their comments. To the unaccustomed mind, one would think the nation is in turmoil. @10,11 & 20 if you honestly believe what you are saying I feel sorry for you. You have a nice and RELATIVELY easy life in Zambia, instead of wanting or seeking ways to improve it, you all want to cause that much more chaos as though there weren’t enough troubles in this world. Find another place to pollute if you can’t live in Zed.Those of us with visions, let us see them come true.
