The Kuomboka traditional ceremony of the Lozi speaking people will take place on April 16.
Western Province Permanent Secretary Seth Muleya confirmed the date to ZNBC News on Tuesday.
Mr. Muleya said the Ng’ambela to the Litunga, Litia Walubita announced the date of the ceremony in Mongu on Tuesday.
The Ngambela says the preparations for the ceremony started two weeks ago.
Mr. Muleya has since appealed to all those wishing to attend the ceremony to turn-up in large numbers.

There is need to avoid excesses which may distort originality and deny the less priveleged yet custodian of the very culture. Still a HOOT ISSUE<The main reason why many educated people fail to understand the challenge of administering Barotseland as part of Zambia over the years is because they ignore the fact that Barotseland was a nation that joined Northern Rhodesia to form Zambia in the same capacity as an organized autonomous entity. If there was a mistake made by all who wanted to create a sustainable long lasting unitary state, it was signing a legal document like the BA64, and thereafter default, or leave it to chance and time to rectify the problem. The only long lasting solution is to let Barotseland be free.
