  1. Wow. Now this is pleasing positive news. Awaiting your call-up to the Zambian squad for national duty mwana wesu. Congatulations and keep the Zambian flag flying.
Ba Faz keep an eye on this boy. Efyo iya!

    • havent you been following? his a belgian national, since zambia dnt do dual citizenship. correct me if im wrong.

  2. Congratulations are in order young man.Having being raised in Brussels, you still have to make a choice between playing for Belgium or Zambia at Snr level and i would not be surprised iif you chose the former as he was raised there and possibly have more prospects of playing in the world cup.
    However,choice is entirely yours.
As for Mutapa,RIP and may your sons continue to fly the Nkhwazi flag higher.

  3. #1. The boy should keep away from Zambian football because he will just end up finishing or FAZ will finish him because of politics at FAZ. So boy, just stay there and don’t play for Zambia. Let Zambia continue fighting as you make money there. Look at Litana, completely finished and FAZ can’t do anything for him.

  4. Lusakatimes get your story right…this boy is not Zambian! He carries a Belgium passport, so does his brothers-all lovely footballers…WE HAVE LOST OUT YET AGAIN…FIFA rules state that a player needs to carry a passport of the country he she plays for…no dual citizenship in Zed…or do i stand to be corrected?!

  5. It is ture stay way from zambia football you will finish your self.Too much juju in Zambia.Careful.here you will grounded like the others Z will never be A,it is ku last.

  6. #4 Dojo Do you r very correct they boys are Belgians and there is no dual citizenship issue closed!

  7. Just worried about mr mutapa senior, chiluba dies he also drops dead.am sure tha ka man promised him something after RB winning especially that mudala life yalikosako baaad.
Am sure ni slice kuli ka $8m mu zamtrop. So nomba every thing fyaya nge chushi,so misery continues pa last kufwa fye.

  8. The father declared months ago that without duel citizenship the boys can’t play for Zambia so its our loss. I hear the younger brother is an even better prospect. Good Luck at least we will be mentioned only via statistics of origin.

  9. Sorry I thought he was a Zambian. I then concur with all the above sentiments. We have lost out again. There are a lot of Zambian children who are not Zambians out in the diaspora. This is why we have been arguing about the dual citizenship issue.

  10. No dual citizenship. It’s either you are Zambian or not. Why should people want to have one leg here and another leg there? For the Musonda boys, no one will bother you for choosing Belgium over Zambia. You stand more to win as footballers in a more soccer advanced country than were football politics as the order of the day. I will be one of the happiest to see them play for the Belgian National Team and just refer to them as having hailed from Zambia. Once again, Zambia should not allow dual citizenship. That was to be allowed into law to serve a few people who see their children losing out.

    • First of all if you look at the history of Zambia you will agree that we are all foreigners. How dose one country have 73 languages and 72 tribes? K.K said one Zambia one nation. You might not agree with dual nationality but it would benefit alot for the country in terms of investments and opportunities, there are people out there with serious money but are stuck because of this stupid law. For example look at the French team which won the 1998 world cup Instead ba Kasai naba Mwenye, Nigerians ……………..are runing the show.

  11. No. 10, Kasaka, my friend, what is your point? What makes dual citizenship such a terrible thing? Your ‘one leg here one leg there’ statement makes no sense at all in the realm of this discussion. I think we can have a respectable discussion about the pro’s and cons of dual citizenship, one not loaded with meaningless remarks about limbs. Truth of the matter is we have an archaic law in place that is loaded with outdated fears and prejudice. It serves only those who have an ingenuine, yet selfish fear for dual citizens as they often represent a freedom of thought and speech that is safe from the grip of power that thieving leaders have on their citizens. A mind is too beautiful a thing to waste my friend, use it.

  12. #8:
Its ‘your’ loss not our loss. If he wants to play for Zambia he (they) should come back and get zambian citizenship, it would be folly to amend the consititution jst for his case.

    Ba LT:
“Charles Musonda’s son Lamisha Musonda has made some Zambian football history after the LATTER was …” (who is the latter in this sentence? as far as I care you are talking about only one person – Charles Musonda’s son (Lamisha Musond) – so there is no latter here. ubukopo ba LT, kwati tamuli bakulu zoona!

  13. Why are you then talking about a forign player if the chap is not Zambian. Wasting tym, let’s do if what we have than day-dream! VIVA NTOFONTOFO!!!!!

  14. @11 KASAKA. I also wish to register my strong sentiments on your myopic view about dual citizenship following on Abena CB @12. The subject is unnecessarily emotional in Zambia, unfortunately because of ignorance of what dual citizenship entails. The upside is immense not least because of global nature of today’s world order. For Zambia to compete globally, and by extension to develop, it must compete for talent in all sectors, politics, business, sports etc. Lamisha exemplifies this.

Anyway, congratulations to Lamisha. Keep the Zambian flag flying. By the way my understanding is that he may still play for Zambia on a foreign passport. Visas become a bit of a science though.

  15. Dear Mr. President. R.B.Banda, Sir, Reports have been made to the ant-corruption agency in livingstone concerning issues of corruption, abuse of office misuse of the meagre resources you are fighting hard for, to rich the poor of the poorest, but to no avail. This office of D.D.H in Livingstone leaves alot to be desired. There is a newly formed crique within the office as “Untoucheables”. They do things even without the consultation of their director. e.g. Mr.
Libinga (H.R). , working in conjuction G. Sibusenga (SCCO) employed a driver by the name Mr. Nkhoma. In the same month, they fought hard that he wa put on the pay roll and was given arrears of 4 months which they shared. The ACC are not reactive, so should we ask the opositions to come to aid before much is wasted.

  16. This all because of your ‘great’ Kalu. His hatred for Charles Musonda from their playing days continued to ignore the Musonda boys. Even current under 23 coach Lucky ‘muchofe’ Msiska mention it to this not so great Kalu that the boys are doing well. Is sad mother zambia has lost out all because of one s.t.u.p.i.d and arogant person.

  17. Gumu  Gumu stop beeing silly! Kalusha is not the President of Zambia Kalusha. Is not government. He doesn’t issue citizenships.  Neither  can he bar anyone from being a  citizen.  If a father  wants his son to be  a citizen a rival can’t stop him. You guys are so taken by TV soapies you want the plots played out in your imagined reaal  life dramas!

  18. # 19 Nkumbula. I dont really know what you are trying to say. We all know who issues passports. However, the issue is not about passports, it was about Charles Musonda ‘Charlie Cool” as we used to call him, making a choice between his boys playing for mother Zambia or the country of their birth. What your Kalusha should have done was to call them to play for the Zambia National team asa their father had requested, that would have meant them applying for Zambian passports. But what your ‘god’ did was to ignore his former playing partner. Even calls from Lucky Msiska. Why did Andrew Sinkala & Moses Sichone prematurely stop playing for Zed??I urge you to contribute on issues that you are well informed on. As for soapies, I have better things to do than to sit in front of an i.d.i.o.t box.

  19. For your infformation Charles Musonda is my relative. Forsome of youu  Kalusha is  responssible for everything you don’t like  happening uunder the sun. That is what jealousy does to minds. If I wannt my son to play for Zambia noone can stop me. That is a righth and  People fight for their rights

  20. Too many things on my mind right now. First; I am very happy for Charles Musonda (Sr.) for having the courage to stay in Belgium when it would have been much more financially beneficial in 1993 for him to go back to Zambia. He chose to take the narrow road less travelled and endure. Now, he has gotten a much better reward for his children that he may not have gotten had he chosen the much more obvious path. My prayer is that he instils the same spirit in his children. For his children; take this opportunity with both hands and make the most of it. On dual nationality; it is time that nations see the many opportunities available in having this facility and not try and take the heritage that one has for the sake of misguided politics. I am a Man U fan but I will be watching Chelsea play!
