FLASHBACK: FORMER President of Zambia,Dr.kenneth Kaunda was present at the ceremony of South Sudan independence birth day in Juba, South Sudan

First Republican President Kenneth Kaunda is expected to be discharged from Hospital in Namibia by Thursday this week.

Health Spokesperson Dr. Kamoto Mbewe says this is according to the progress report by the medical team sent to Namibia to review Dr Kaunda’s condition.

Dr Mbewe says Dr Kaunda has made steady progress.

Government on Monday dispatched a team of medical experts to assess the condition of Dr Kaunda.

The team of health experts that are in Namibia include Dr Kaunda’s Former personal physician Professor Chifumbe Chintu, Director of Emergency and mobile health services Welani Chilengwe and University Teaching Hospital Director Luckson Kasonka.

These medical experts waited until there was an outcry by concerned members of the public through the “Post” that is when they reacted. They best interest was to get allowances in foreign hard cash.KK is national property and we are entitled to know the status of his health.

Since I was a child until now I dont recall once when KK was ill to be hospitalised I remember him going for routine checks but never to be bed ridden…..I guess he is only human after all and we Zambians paid the price of getting rid of a great man and calling him names….we are but losers with no direction…Get well soon Mr President.
