Patriotic Front secretary general winter Kabimba has denied reports that there is division in the party following a letter written by some central committee members asking for party president Michael Sata to take rest from conducting campaigns.
PF secretary general Wynter Kabimba has described the reports as MMD propaganda aimed at decampaigning Mr. Sata.
Mr. Kabimba adds that Mr. Sata is in perfect health and that he is currently in Kabompo were he is conducting his campaigns.
He has questioned the quality of journalism being practiced at some public media institutions and has since challenged the authors of the reports allegations on the health of the PF leader to reveal their source of information.
Mr. Kabimba has told QFM that Mr. Sata welfare does not in any way concern the MMD and since advised ruling party to concentrate on their candidate Rupiah Banda.
Mr. Kabimba notes that his party has will not allow the MMD to derail his party’s focus on selling itself ahead of this year’s elections.
In yesterday’s edition of the Times Newspaper has carried a story alleging that the opposition PF has been rocked with divisions following the alleged ill-health of their party leader Michael Sata.

Mr Kabimba must be running out of his political senses. In a Multi party democratic states emerges alot of parties that come to hit stuggering political parties like PF because they were Strong Oppositions at one time. What makes him so sure its a tigress competitor like MMD fabricating stories he terms? Damage control is quite difficult when you begin to involve what is not in existance as you’ll be leaving vital issues hanging. Don’t try to regain political composure by losing another composure. Learn to acknowledge and give credit where it is due. Give your people what they want.

Only Doctors are qualified to talk/disclose about their patient’s illnesses. Better still, if the patient himself says he is well enough to start a long journey, who are we to dispute that? I do not think that ba Sata would be ‘hiding’ his ailment (whatever it is) because sooner than later, we hall all know the end result. Lets concerntrate on real issues please. This obsession with sickness and death in Zambian politics nowadays is really nauseating! Are people going to eat death and sickness after the elections? All we hear is how sick Sata is. Can you, for the sake of our Children, talk about how you are going to leave Zambia better than you found it? This steady diet of sickness/death has really gotten way out of control.
I personally don’t believe at this stage in the campaigns any amount of news coverage concerning Sata’s heath challenges is going to sway many people to affect the outcome of the elections. To me, these campaigns are simply formalities. So why waste ink and space on an issue that has been massaged in every way possible but with very limited effect on the opinions of the electorate as far as Mr. Sata’s candidature goes.

This is typical of pf no consistency, an hour before they told us that Sata has suspended all campaigns in North-western province and at the same time they are saying he is in Kabompo carrying out campaigns, whats this zambians.
