United Party for National Development UPND spokesperson Charles Kakoma has doubted the fairness of the forthcoming tripartite elections.

Mr. Kakoma says the allegations of corruption surrounding the preparations of the elections raise doubts of a free and fair election.

He says the entire electoral process smells of corruption because of the MMD’s alleged involvement in corrupt activities during campaigns.

Mr. Kakoma adds that reports of vote buying and violence erode public confidence in the electoral process.

He says the MMD being the ruling party should be in the forefront denouncing acts with the potential of destabilizing the country’s electoral process.

Mr. Kakoma has further called on the Movement for Multiparty Democracy to realize that Zambia does not belong to its members alone but to all Zambians.

And Kabwata Patriotic Front parliamentary aspirant Given Lubinda has vowed not give the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) any information concerning the corruption allegations against Universal Print Group.

Mr. Lubinda says he still does not see it fit to avail evidence to the ACC when it is not willing to use the evidence in national interest.

In an interview with QFM, Mr. Lubinda says as long as he is not convinced that the commission is willing to act on the matter, he will hold on to the evidence he has.

Mr. Lubinda says it would be useless for him to give the ACC more information when it is covering up the print company by not clearly stating what it knows.

Recently, the Southern African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Dispute (SACCORD) urged the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to convene a meeting which would be a platform for individuals claiming to have evidence of the corruption of UPG to bring it out.

Mr. Lubinda says even if the ECZ was to convene a meeting, he would not give out any information concerning UPG because the ACC is pretending to be blank on the matter when in fact not.

    • Pact for what !!!!. that is gone boss concetrate on your PF. Why get into such kind of nosense we are seen now.

  1. if you have all but lost your constituency, please just get on your heels and join HH on his well progressing national campaign overdrive.

  2. You have wasted too much time venting hot air instead of giving sound bites that resonates with the electorates on fundamental issues. This is where PF headed by now immobilized and disoriented sata has all but lost its plot. How do you win hearts of Zambians when a party is stanically resorting to ritual practices of chopping life heads at rallies thinking you could coerce zambians into voting in your thuggery?

  3. You have wasted too much time venting hot air instead of giving sound bites that resonates with the electorates on fundamental issues. How do you win hearts of Zambians when a party is satanically resorting to ritual practices of chopping life heads at rallies thinking you could coerce zambians into voting in your thuggery?

PF has been cursed with schemes sata is using through Frank Bwalya that counterfiet truant.

  4. Talk of what you have done and will don for electorates going forward then you will win their hearts. Vowing to launch mayhem against childrens and women folks that disapprove your stamp is not good catch of zambian votes. This is why PF has been wrecked in Lusaka province because all they have are land scandals, machetes, insults rehearsing centers, and a xenophobic tabloid. The other day they were against christians now they have gone against Muslims except their satanism prophesized by sata.

    • Senior Citizen, it so sad in Zambia that only you can understand issues!, I wish you could collect all the voters cards from these illetarates and help them vote. These thugs need to collect their voters cards because they will just waste in a party that won’t win. Do you know how best to convince these thugs?

  5. Lubinda, Please keep your evidence as you have stated and continue sharing it with the PF cadres and your selected LAZ friends. But for what purpose are you keeping it? Only you and your friends in PF knows, I am sure Ludinda has no data/evidence about the same issue and all what he is doing is to make himself fit into the PF since he has been sidelined of late.

Remember after all the issues about Afgans email and UPG thts when he has find himeself important once again in PF, I think this guy just creat issues himself so that he can be counted in PF.

    • Zambians don’t use written information. They need physical information. Ah, he wants to use on 21st Sept when in Govt. You know information is power.

  6. Kabimba chased us from the PACT..now we shall spoil the votes so RB can continue..even our Party President told us ..’those who think HH can defeat RB without the PACT are liars, without the PACT we cannot defeat RB, without the PACT we cannot dislodge MMD”…these are the words of our Party President HH.

  7. Bad losers. Lubinda you can keep your evidence. The truth is you don’t have any. The only evidence you planned to smuggle out of UPG printing factory was stopped. So now you are stuck. Just shut up, go to compaign and lose like a man.

  8. Lubinda is regretting having left UPND. Sata is regreting having frustrated UPND out of the PACT. The Post is regreting backing the losing tree. Nkongole izapaya munthu. Wait what will happen after 20th Sept. I fear fro Sata’s health.

    • Remember Zambia is Xtian Nation! Health is given by GOD. He took away Levy before completing his term, God took away Chiluba before he could implement International and Local skills to win RB another term. Maybe this time he will take any1 of the two anytime RB or SATA if one of them becomes president on 21st Sept. lifespan in Zambia!

  9. GUYS, HERE IS AN ANALYSIS I CONSIDER TO BE OBJECTIVE: The high number of new Candidates for the Presidency works against RB, and advantages Sata. The Magandes, Milupis, Mutesas and Chipimos of this world will obviously not win, but the few votes they will collect will be mostly from possible MMD symphathiser or fence-seaters. If RB wants to work with UPND, then MMD has blundered by allowing HH to stand and being soft on him. A good an improved perfomance by HH in Southern, North Western, Eastern, Central and Western Province eats into the possible MMD votes, and Sata will be advantaged. Remember the margin was very small in 2008. Please comment on this.

    • Yes you are right. MMD thinks it is for their advantage, but I think those that didn’t like sata could have voted otherwise.

  10. I know what happens when people crave for power without realism. Be realistic! Zambia is in Africa, and in Africa the encumbent Presidents never lose elections! RB is no exception…Prove me wrong on 21st September, 2011. I will slaughter a chicken for you… not the father Bwalya antics. ManBuka!!!

    • you have hit the nail on the head, come 22nd or 23rd September, 2011, RB is being inaugurated and devils will be put to where they rightly belong

  11. yes feel it. here comes the downfall of a tonga party.we told you that hh is a spoiler ,soon he will be like,by mwila, sakwiba ,siulapwa, sakala and savior chishimba.we told you that hh needs to start from councilor then mp so that he gains political experience like the two giants (rb & sata have gone through. hh (regionalist)is a polical failure he cant be compared to mazoka a natoinalist.let him go and jata n’gombe.

  12. Peter, I like your analysis but I think the chances are the same for Sata and Rb. So lets wait and see, come Sept 21. We will slaughter chickens not Former Father’s way which ever party wins

  13. @13 Peter – And you think this is 2008?The so called PF strong hold is not as it were 3 years ago.On a self implosion mode, PF has managed to decampaign itself by its inumerable inconsistencies and unfounded allegations against MMD,ECZ etc.Furthermore the unprecedented developmental projects throughout the country has made many voters u-turn on their support for the cobra. So ba Peter, wake up this is 2011.

  14. The Satanamaias will be surprised that RB will have more votes in Lusaka and Copperbelt than they are estimating. RB will win with a higher margin this time around that previously. VIVA MMD

  15. LUBINDA has no evidence; he just enjoys alarming the public – a characteristic of the PF.
3 weeks ago, his president, SATA said he knew that there were ballot boxes which were printed and that he knew where the same boxes were being kept.
2008, PF alleged more than 13 counts that vehicles where carrying rigging material and on all counts there was nothing after they did the search themselves in presence of the police.
These are empty talkers with nothing to offer at all.
This is why LUBINDA has failed to do any single thing for the people of Kabwata and all he says is govt did not release funds; he cant create alternatives.
On the MUVI TV parliamentary debate he claims he has done his best; now if what he has done is the best then people should not expect better from him

  16. the heat is been felt now, no strategy just wasting time in the western province. ba shikulu dont kubeba you cant win in western province.we all know the history

  17. twalikwebele tabulwapo, now ba UPND you also start crying fool before even ballot papers are in the country. Anyway thats what you get when you try to play double standards in game of politics.

  18. #14 does not understand anything.Even in Africa an incumbent president can lose in an election.Remember 1991? KK lost the elections and conceded defeat. I

  19. Mr Kakoma is complaining about corruption. UPND is full of corruption. That is how they adopted MP candidates who are rich and trying to buy votes by bribery. Case in point is their candidate for Mbabala constuency Bbelemu has nothing to offer. He thinks he can buy his way to parliament. The people of Mbabala should reject to be bought for a few million kwachas that were given to councillors. If you want to talk about corruption start with your party. The people know whom to vote for on the 20th September. Shame UPND.

  20. Kakoma reminds of an old comic book called “Lone Wolf”. And for sure he sounds like a lone wolf in the Tonga party.
