Zesco United’s grip on the Faz Super Division crown is looking very questionable after Konkola Blades on Sunday recorded back-to-back league wins this season over them.
Blades beat visiting Zesco 2-0 at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe to extend their unbeaten league run against the latter to five games going back to 2009.
The victory also saw Keagan Mumba’s side move from sixth to third on the Super Division table to 38 points, three less than leaders Power Dynamos and second placed Red Arrows.
Meanwhile, Blades secured their second successive victory over Zesco this season thanks to goals from Martin Daka and Elson Mkandawire in the 28th and 88th minutes.
Zesco’s defeat sees them fall from fifth to sixth on 35 points from 22 games with eight games remaining before the 2011 campaign comes to a close.

Az right sharp razor!
Go sharp blades and do it for chiliz
I watched the game on supersport.I wonder why the incident on the injury of the lineman with a water bottle is not even mentioned. The whole of Africa witnessed how barbaric our soccer fans are.FAZ must stump out this type of behaviour or else we will find ourselves facing the wrath of FIFA.
SOCCER HOLIGANISM HAS NO PLACE IN ZAMBIA!
But no comment on the game itself?
Well done Sharp Razor my team.As always,I am behind you.Go on,let’s win the league.
VIVA Konkola Blades- the original Chipolopolo!
