Voting under way

Voters at a polling station in Chililabombwe at 08hrs

Voting is under way in various parts of the country with voter turn out being described as very good.Today September 20 Zambians are voting in the 5th tripartite elections since the re-introduction of multiparty politics in 1991.

The atmosphere is relatively calm and peaceful in the country with long queues reported in various polling stations. Some voters are said to have been at the polling station as early as midnight.

There have been a few glitches in some polling stations, with ballots arriving late causing delays. Some polling stations in Mandevu are said to have no electricity and residents are appealing to Zesco to restore power promptly.

The atmosphere is charged with excitement as well as suspicion amidst rumours of pre-marked ballot circulating. There are reports that some Kanyama residents are said to have impounded a truck believed to have premarked ballots. They opened and burned the materials which turned out to be campaign materials.

Ten presidential candidates are vying for the top seat, with incumbent President Banda and PF’s Michael Sata viewed as the top contenders. The 10 parties will also be jostling for the 150 parliamentary seats and hundreds of local government positions.

  1. Pathetic way of voting look at that? almost have me puking
Here in scotland votes are done from home, and here we have queing up in brothels delapitated classroms.

Very disturbing if you ask me, I hope somehow ethere is a tie and none of them wins if there is anything like that

I will sit on my £450 fiance’s chair and wathcing all this unford.
    Thanks

    • mushota if u in scotland y bother checking out wats happening in zed, shut the F up and keep licking those white nuts u slave whore

    • You have serious mental problems….we actually know who are and quit hiding behind that sad arse name of yours! Ati Mushota…lol!

    • Mushota, Shame on you. Like you have said it in scotland…..you statment makes me wonder whether you are really Zambian because you are an embarrament. Altitudes like yours are just braaaaaaa….:-?:o

    • HUMOR fellow Zambians, don’t get very serious with Miss Mushota, she just want to lighten up things and play emotions, has been a tough Journey for both MMD & PF Bloggers. Laugh and have fun…

On a serious note: this looks primitive voting we are in 21st century and can have better innovative ways to vote. Problem is that we always want to be followers and do not want to think outside the box for a wow?? First country in Africa to conduct electronic voting????

Let SATA come to power, we will advise him, maybe he can listen than RB and his followers.

      VIVA Dochi Kubeba.

    • Mushota what ever the f****k your name is, before you start vomiting white people’s ash…….Scotland is not Zambia…..by the way we don’t give a f****K on how they vote in Scotland. Look where you are instead of developing this country if at all you are Zambian, you abondoned Zambia and now you want to behave as if you are the queen of England……..Sitoto tuwe.

  2. Today twalamona weather zed chipoto or is full of intelligent people who cannot be duped. you cannot have a situation where roads suddenly have become a hive of activity. 4 rainy seasons ago, no grading of major roads around the country, should i say for more than 4 years we have not seen massive road rehabilitation works except when we hear bye election or president is coming or indeed a day like today. we shall see if IFIPUBA FINGI PA ZED, bought with sugar and you sell your voting rights. stay at the polling station 400m away, check anything coming in at such particular stations in form of big katundus, or else mu zai taya. change is good for the soul. only dull chaps are afraid of change

  3. lets us deeply reflect on what has happened in this campaign season – as Zambians we are NOT known for violence and insults. we are known for peace and reconciliation, even in the midst of differing opinions. And as we move forward, we should wise up and never allow ourselves again to be consumed by evil and hatred. Instead we should learn to work hard, educate our children and DEVELOP our land Zambia. we should hold the politician that we are voting into power accountable to what they have promised during the campaigns. l rest my case :)

  4. Thank you Mushota enjoy. We are busy here making decisions which will affect your relatives. Yes we are getting rid of MMD for you while you chill in that run down Estate full of spongers and Lithuanian.

Put your feet up and make sure that Scot has eaten enough imbalala because they are rubbish. The never last one round and only do it once per month.

  5. My Prayer from this foreign Land is that ,God i only have one home and let not Zambians fight, may your will be done ,If its Banda Let it not be ,if its Sata let it be,The litmus has shown everywhere that people need change ,Former ,KK did the wise ,may Banda accept that,he has nothing to show of,tho Chilba allegedly stole ,he brought change physical, even Mwanawasa ,but this thing ,No lord let it GO and go in peace.

  6. Our dear blogers in Zambia please keep feeding us data on possible attempts to rigg, we want to hear what is going on people. Keeping voting we are depending on you and please no violence.

  7. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE.SATA PLEASE CLEAN UP THE ROT
AND PREPARE FOR THE YOUNG CHIPIMO TO COME AND START
A NEW GROUP OF YOUNG FIREBRAND LEADERS .EVEN YOUNG
PEOPLE ARE CAPABLE AFTER ALL IMITI IKULA EMPANGA!

  8. #11 Donchi Kubeba. Aha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Wandepula we. Ati if it is RB let it not be, if it is the new President Sata let it be! I like that actually. Amen!

  9. Yaba! Violence in Lilanda. Is it really necessary? Listen to QFM guys! Why should people people do this.

What they should realise is if they don`t vote, then MMD wins. Unless this is being done by MMD. But all will be reviewed.

  10. Voting has been pathetic in some parts of lusaka, so far voting has been suspended in Lilanda lusaka due to violence going on there and reaping of ballot papers at some polling station eg bayuni basic school in makeni. Tune in for live voting updates on QFM radio at tunein radio.com on your PC or iphone. Search for zambia

  11. This is the day when Zambians will burry politics of deception for ever. The propagation of the philosophy of “DON’T KUBEBA” was designed to bluff the non-Bembas in order to promote Bemba supremacy using a hired Tanzanian mercenary (SATA). This hidden agenda has even permeated into institutions of higher learning (universities) where non-Bemba staff are deprived of vital positions that matter in decision-making. One of the public universities has all its positions of Deans held by Bembas in the deceptive game of holding such positions based on ??MERIT??.

    • Good Observation. The Bemba’s do not realise that this Tribalism will work against them in a country like Zambia. Zambia has 73 tribes and no tribe can work alone. Everyone needs to work together. Bemba’s though the majority, are actually week and can easily be defeated intellectually or even physically. I believe one Ngoni Woman can fight 4 Bemba men. Abash Sata. VIVA HH.

  12. In Lukulu east constituency in Western province, at a named polling station, a presiding officer has been reportedly to have sent away an election observer.

  13. #18 j Mudenda u just exposing your foolishness over Dont kubeba slogan. Where have you been all this time for you not to understand the concept behind dont kubeba slogan in today’s elections? You bemba haters.

  14. zambians beware of rumour mongering.just because someone is paranoid and claims he saw a pre marked ballot doesnt make it true.Pf said they have 27 000 officers around the country do you think a simple MMD cadre from Mandevu can have access to ballot papers that were under tight security? Its easier to believe anything than to think things through but please THINK.Lets show the world that we have brains.

  15. I actually don’t care who wins or loses. My destiny and the destiny of every child of God lies in the hands of the Almighty. Promotion comes not from the east, west, north or south, but from the Lord. It is righteousness and not politicians that exalts a nation and sin is a reproach to any people. Every righteous person is a ruler and can bring the kingdom of heaven on earth. Stop relying on the arm of flesh. It is not RB, Sata, HH, etc who will bring prosperity. It is you and you alone. If the market cant pay for your goods, you either change the market or devalue your goods. Zambia couldn’t afford to pay me my value, so I changed the market.

  16. #22 Saint. Nevers Mumba springs to mind. Look, this is the problem with African christians. We live in this world and we can`t pretend. Decisions made by politicians will affect you and I one way or the orther. Either directly or indirectly.

    • even if they make decisions 4 nation, they don’t influence the destiny of the child of God. God can bless you anywhere. He knows our destiny and what is good for us not politicians who comes and go. surrender your life to Jesus Christ and he will straighten your destiny. Not in man. God has a good thought for you. that of a good future and hope. He give you hope when you are hopeless. Not the decision politicians can also be allowed or not allowed by God.

    • Goodnews Ulicipuba. Look I tried to make it simple so that you understand. Politicians will be there whether you like it or not. Get your blamin head out of your backside and see reality.

We can`t pretend all is well simply because we are christians you *****. Someone has to make those decisions and all we are saying is it will be Sata now. Jog on f*o*o*l.

    • Christians of hypocrisy, What this person is saying is that we also are part to blame if we allow a bad president like RB to continue just because we are Christians wake up you fools as Christians we should vote so that our country can develop what kind of a christian are you? Even in the bible there are kings and queens also leaders. Do you think that has no purpose or they are just characters to complete a story? Grow up and use those 2% thinking brains of yours also stand up for what is right a true christian will point out wrong and not stay away from the situation because its not his business (he is a Child of GOD). You will be affected weather you like it or not. As if you don’t eat nshima.

  17. # 22 THE SAINT
How do you quote Bible verses and be indifferent to who wins or loses. A true christian will not only be convinced, but concerned that he/she elects one of their kind. God has given you the right to choose who’ll lead you. Your indifference is Satan’s gain!

  18. Pabwatooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.iyi yena twayina bamambala.

  19. Justice and peace are one and the same. there inseparable. let justice prevail in order to have the peace we are preaching about.

  20. # 11 thats a selfish prayer and God can not answer that kind of prayer. a prayer of a pharisee.God knows who is the best leader if sata let be and its RB let it be period

  21. Lets just pray to GOD for a peaceful election.who ever wins wins but if you are intelligent with a sound I.Q like mine you would look at the trend of the last two elections especially the last bye election only three years ago!what has changed much?maybe the 1 million youth voters. If they all vote pf the cobra could win but as i see it thats not the case. The opposition is too fragmeted.Good luck to all trying their luck.Say no to violence and please a BIG NO TO VIOLENCE.I need all your votes in 2016 as iam running for president to solve all the problems…most of them!GOD BLESS ZAMBIA.

  22. the mmd aspiring candidate is busy corrupting voters at railways quaters with drinks, chickens and beer. please let the police come and stop this rot. ecz make sure the this mmd candidate is disqualified.

  23. #18 Ba Mudenda you are tribal because right now we are not looking at tribe and you all you are looking at is PF’s slogan. You are also dull because you can see how RB has been spending money during campaigns but you can’t calculate, its people like you who hinder development in this country and young people like me don’t need you in work places because you are people who are scared of success. I don’t even think you are a Zambian at all because if you were…. intelligence would have shown in your comment….GO TO MALAWI…you are sure needed there.8-|

    • Your language describes you so well! You shud know that it’s only God’s will that ever prevails! Whats your comment on the sudden goal post shift by the post news paper on a man(cobra) the so castigated 4 years ago??? Why’s your comment about cobra’s homosexual stance??? Be real and at least abit wise ba tata!!!!

  24. i voted just 2 hours ago it was calm and so refreshing seeing how people really want change, kwena lets wait but for real change is here.

  25. You guys have shown your ignorance for so long on this space why can’t you wait now for the voting and results. All you want is RB or Sata not really Zambia at heart shame.

  26. People may talk, hallucinate, meditate, pray, shout, insult each other or do whatever but the ruling party will carry the day!!!! Believe you me.

  27. GOD of OUR Fore fathers Abraham, Jacob, Isaac Help us today by holding the chaliots, Camels of RB (ECZ) for Sata to Win. Twacula Wemfumu

  28. BEMBA SUPREMACY THOUGHTS ARE A PILE OF MONKEY SHIT. WHAT DO BEMBAS HAVE BETTER THAN OTHER ZAMBIANS.THEY ARE AS POOR AS ANY ONE ELSE IN FACT MAJORITY OF THEM ARE EITHER IN JAIL OR RUNNING THE STREETS OF ALL TOWNS ALONG THE LINE OF RAIL SELLING STOLEN BELTS,PATA PATAS AND ALL MANNER OF TRASH.IF YOU CHECK THE LIST OF HE RICHEST BLACK ZAMBIAN YOU DON’T FIND A BEMBA IN THE TOP TEN,THOSE YOU FIND IN THE TOP 20 ITS ILL- GOTTEN WEALTH.THE ONLY PRESIDENT THEY EVER PRESENTED TO ZAMBIA WAS A LAZO,PLUNDERED ZAMBIA`S RESOURCES TO THE BONE.OTHERS THINK THAT KAUNDA`S MOTHER WAS BEMBA,BOTH KAUNDA`S PARENTS CAME FROM MALAWI AS MISSIONARIES IN 1904.THE INITIATORS OF THE FREEDOM STRUGGLE WERE WESTERNERS AND SOUTHERNERS .WINA AND NKUMBULA.ASK KAUNDA HE WILL TELL YOU THAT HE WAS INSPIRED BY NKUMBULA.

    • Correction. Chiluba was not Bemba. He is Congolese. I work in the DRC and the man enjoys support among his people even in death!

But my question is this why is LT allowing such tribalists as Nawa to blog on this site! It is such tribal sentiments that threw Rwanda in turmoil. Ideas like yours bo Nawa belong to the gutter. Each tribe in Zambia has got its own share of bad eggs ( such as yourself! ) and intelligent people ( like me ! ). Just vote for your preferred candidate and dont drag Zambians into your tribalism infested mind set.

  29. BREAKING NEWS!
According to the latest exit polls collected from across the country, RB will retain the presidency. He has 53% while Sata is trailing with just 25%. Only 6 hours remaining polls close. Viva RB!!

  30. #7 why are you not european instead of being Zambia, all you write is sh******t, Zambia is not where you are, please once you guys have got one pound you become a problem, please proud for you being Zambian. anyway viva SATA

  31. @41, Michaelme,

That is a typical example of how the MMD gvt treat Zambians, they dont care of the suffering we are going thru. Just imagine someone woke up 04 or 03 am to go and vote, without proper or no break fast and then you are subjected to that kind of treatment at polling stations, standing for over 3 hours. As if that is not enough, someone would have already determined the winner through rigging.
ECZ should have employed enough polling agents out of the so many unemployed G12 school leavers to help conduct these elections and prevent queues.Alot of money was spent on campaigns at the expense of such important event.SHAME

  32. @Mushota: your contribution on this site are always shallow minded. How in the world would you want Zambia to be at the level of Scotland…? Please use properly your ant brains whenever exposing your twitness on this site. I am a Zambian living in Vienna Austria and Vienna is the 2nd best city in the world to live in but I love mother Zambia and can’t sink as low as you to denounce my fellow Zambian brothers and sisters trying to exercise their voting rights which you never do there! May God save your lost soul… twit

  33. A Zambian man died and went to heaven. ?As he stood in front of St. Peter at the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him. ?He asked, “Ni-chani ichi?” St. Peter answered, “Those are Lie-Clocks… Everyone on Earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie the hands on your clock will move.” “Eh-eh,” said the man, “Whose clocko is dat…dat one deh?” “That’s Mother Teresa’s. The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie.” “Incredibo,” said the man. “And whose clocko is dat one?” St. Peter responded, “That’s Abraham Lincoln’s clock. The hands have moved twice telling us that Abe told only two lies in his entire life.” “So…Where’s Michael Sata’s clocko?” asked the man. “It’s in God’s office. He’s using it as a fan.”

    • Come on guys! I thought Zambia has already passed tribalism. It nothing to do with tribes. Non of us these days think about that. Chipimo is a fine young man, former Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University. He shares an heritage with great leaders such as Bill Clinton, Wesley Clarke and many important world figures. Why would you want to disqualify such a person on the basis of tribe. I am tumbuka but my preferrer candidates are HH and Milupi. What do you say about?

  34. HUMOR fellow Zambians, don’t get very serious with Miss Mushota # 7 , she just want to lighten up things and play emotions, has been a tough Journey for both MMD & PF Bloggers.

  35. I have voted wisely for all UPND 3 candidates in my area. I wish the UPND all the best in the 20HH elections.

Let peace prevail and may God, the Creator, bless us all.

    _
Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.
I have kept my promise, what about you?

  36. MMD winning means more suffering since they are locked into thefts and corruption. Their deals will take generations to be completed, hence they want to rig for ever!!

  37. Enjoy the freedom of expression and be constructive too to consolidate this rare freedom. Mushota misinforms the public that people in scotland vote while at home FALSE i vote in UK by going to polling centre. In 1991 Chiluba came to power with Sata as cholaboy no one could criticize Chiluba and if found you are a gonner. Valentine Kayope demanded a Kabwe council Secretary to be a BEMBA speaking executive, no one raised an issue. Such is the freedom today that RB, Kunda, etc are kicked around like football FREEDOM, cherish it, value it and defend it. However, we in MMD are calling for rennaiscence in our party for new young leadership to meet the changing political landscape and future continuity.

  38. #53 The End. LOL. And I am sure God had to use his powers to keep papers and stationery from being blown off his office. It must have been a hurricane in there.

  39. I had a terrible dream and I hope it is only a dream! Good luck to all. Anyway the outcome won’t have any significance to the majority. I pray for peace.

  40. Vote wisely! Do not usher in a bunch of corrupt leaders who are just mere talkers. The poverty in that country can not be eradicated by political rhetoric but when Zambians realize that no one else can develop their country except themselves. History has shown us that change for the sake of change can be very detrimental to national development. We put Chiluba in 1991 because we wanted change and what happened? We were disappointed. Between RB and Sata, i can trust RB because he is tolerant and mature, otherwise Zambia needed to tap in the likes of HH or Chipimo because given the list of presidential candidates, they are the only ones who can articulate globalization and policies that can help Zambia compete favorably. Accept the outcome of the election results. God bless mother Zambia.

  41. Come on guys! I am tumbuka but my preferred candidates are HH and Milupi. What do you say about?

  42. #46 Nawa, you suffer from inferiority complex. Open your heart and mind and love all your brother and sister Zambians. You can never generalize.

  43. I hear on the boaders of Zambia, they have picked up “thousands” of foreigners early this morning today, all masquandering as Zambians and/with NRCs including voters registartion cards? How true is this? I also hear that 5 truck-loads of these same pipo are/have been camped at RB’s farm in Chipata to give the incumbent the required muscle to win. They have come in from across the boaders. If this is true and MMD wins, don’t say I never warned of civil strife…

  44. Iwe chi #59. Muna Dekhane. I know the man who posts under Mushota can talk nonsense but to be fair on him he is write when he says he can vote at home through a postal vote which convineintly has a return envolope (not those you *****s use to pay chiefs). And if I remember very well there was even proxy voting say if you are sick, or away in a foreign land, you can send someone to vote for you.

I know we can never ever get to that stage being Africans but don`t say Mushota is telling pokies here you f*o*o*l. He is right. Don`t show your stup*idi*t*y in public. Or, atleast next time try researching before hitting that key board.

Tomorrow you will be telling people twaliba exposed ifwe! Yeah right-*****!

  45. # 46 nawa. I think l know you. Your tribalism and inferiority complex will kill you. Just vote for the person you prefer. You seem not to be coming to terms with the reality that your preferred candidate is not popular.

  46. #46. Nawa chi colour cha we saw. Complex yobe ikakwipaisha shetani iwe. Go to Rwanda mar car ndi yaw bay.

You posted at #18 with no joy what do you want people to do? Kubiye uko kuti nakutuka na fimbi! Shaaaa!!!!!!

  47. rupiah bwezani ziko pansi banda….his name says it all…..BWEZANI indeed mwati bweza pansi in the 21st century….vote pabwa!!!!!! pabwatooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!:d

  48. DON’T BE A FOOL BY VOTING FOR SOMEONE JUST BECOZ HE GAVE U A BROWN ENVELOP,SUGAR,SALT OR WHAT EVER FORM OF BRIBE.DON’T BE SO EMPTY MINDED.THINK OF THE LIFE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH U RE LIVING,THINK OF THE CORRUPTION THAT INFESTED OUR COUNTRY,REMEMBER THE DUBIUOS DEALIN WTC OFFERED NO LOGICAL EXPLANATION,SELL OF ZAMTEL,FINANCE BANK,EXTRAVAGANT MOBILE HOSP,REMOVAL OF ABUSE OF OFFICE ACT SO AS TO FACILITATE STEALIN PIPO’S MONEY,ABUSE OF PUBLIC MEDIA HOUSES,ABUSE OF GOVMENT PARASTATALS eg ZESCO,ABUSE OF ECZ , ZNBC, ACC,POOR WORKIN POLICIES,POOR TAXATION OF MINES,REMEMBER THE BALOTSE KILLING OF INNOCENT PIPO,REMEMBER THE INJUSTICES,REMEMBER THE CONST-N FAILURE WHERE BILLION OF CASH WENT TO WAIST.REDEEM YOURSELF 2DAY BY VOTING WISELY.,,STIL REMEMBER DONCHI KUBEBA.

    • I fully understand you
, this is our chance to make our voices heard. It should be a leader for all people not just selected tribes. Nyambe abe ni sicaba sa bulozi……mangweee oshoo……

  49. I honestly fail to understand how a normal person with five working scences can be deceived and convinced by someone so dull that he can only lead by intimidation!! C’mon guys are u saying u can’t really see through the cobra? If that guy had to take office, it wud take death for him to vacate it!!! Wake up people, don’t just look, please see!!! Don’t just listen” please hear!!! Zambians I think we are more intelligent than most of you are exhibiting !!!! God appoints leaders and he gave us one in 2008 who is still energetic and committed… Others have asked God to appoint them for 3 times and God has said no!!! And no!!! And no!!! Even this year it’s actually a bigger NO!!!!!

    • Ba Mudala you are a fool! and for you to use GOD’s name in your foolishness you are a greater fool. GOD does not cheat and he is not a liar…go to the boarders and visit ZRA and the likes…. farmers in Mbala haven’t been paid their monies so are the 1998 retirees up to now. That money as evident as it is its the money being misused by this foolish person of a president for his campaigns. Some teachers of 1998 have died because of depression after fighting for money they worked for and now that money has been diverted to RB’s pockets…..you are shameful and don’t deserve to be Zambian.

  50. Despite the Post still campaigning for SATA, PF and the Post have lost the 2011 elections, shame to these “Power Failures” who have no hope to rule Zambia. Fr. Mihna has conceded defeat and that MMD will scoop the elections.

  51. Ata mwalitumpa mwebatonga nabalozi. You do not know that no Bemba has ever ruled Zambia before. Kaunda was from Malawi, Chiluba from Congo. So which Bemba president are you talking about you misguided basturds.
This is really not about tribe but rather the best Candidate to unseat the MMD president. If Mazoka was alive all true Zambians would have voted for him. But frankly HH is no match to Sata and Banda has failed to arrest corruption. Sata and not bembas is the man of the day.Bakapoli imwe nga tapite Sata mwishibefye at naimwe tamwakabale amutekapo Zambia. Foolish Nawa and your Tonga Friend do not send us into the Rwanda massacre.
I am not bemba but i hate your comments. You should exercise some restraint when talking about other tribes.

  52. #50 Nawa. Correction.

  53. Hours are counting down, I think ECZ stated 48 hours. I can’t wait, let the truth be revealed and let the Zambian voice be above all critics……

  54. all i know is that the counting process is very transparent and no one can rig elections in this country. if some people know that they are losing the game they accuse the referee. its not good to smire dirty at the ECZ after all the good job they have done. counting will be done in full view of political party agents and they will be given results form for each polling station. so then how will results change?

  55. #89 Ba Muyembe- if I need a lift to the polling station why should the vehicle be impounded. You city cadres don’t know logistical problems us villagers face.Your party is too paranoid. If voted into power I fear for our country.

  56. Abantu bambi umungulu bwalichilamo! Honestly in these times you are still talking about which tribe is better? You are the ssame people who are still fighting racism and still teaching our children to hate other people because of their tribes and colour….please we are past that and I seriously doubt your Christianity being in a christian nation you are hardcore wizards and wiches inside out and may the good Lord deliver us from falling into your tribal thinking.

  57. From SMS i have read from you people, you cant count and say SATA has won. Iwe MUSHOTA IYICHITA APOBAYUMINA EPOYABWELELA. YOU ARE GONE, WHY TALKING OF ZAMBIA?

  58. Was just watching news, ba sata !!!!! Why a leader he would make!!!! Surely he can’t even restrain himself!!!! Awe mwandi!!! God, give us a mature and wise president!!!!

  59. those of you dissing on the way Zambians are voting, it being archaic etc surprise me… It’s obvious, the very Government (MMD) that has ruled for 20yrs is responsible for the backwardness of our country!!! So shame on you for even supporting the power hungry, corrupt and good for nothing Government, who are not for the people but for themselves!! VIVA PF, the revolution is here!!!!!! I hope those in Zambia did boat wisely!

  60. An appropriate headline for Thursday will be: “Galant PF Go Down Fighting.” They are not my heros, but I admire their resilience. Going forward, Zambia needs an opposition party that has the capacity to win an election, including the presidency. Kudos to PF and Michael Sata. They had nothing of substance to offer,…nonetheless, they excelled!

  61. The high voter turn-out is building into a severe and dangerous storm as the easterly winds blow accross the vast country. It’s feared that the little toy boat cum canoe locally known as “bwato” will capsize in lake Bangweulu, never again to be recovered. The waves are already gaining momentum and the tide is building up….certainly not the kind of weather prepared the boat for!

  62. just stop passing offensive statements that can lead to serious problems, now that we have voted why npt wait for results peacefully as real Zambians
