Former Chairperson of the disbanded Board of Directors at the Energy Regulation Board -ERB- Sikota Wina says his team will fully co-operate with the Wynter Kabimba Commission of Inquiry.
The Commission has been tasked to investigate alleged corruption in the operations of the ERB.
Mr. Wina says the former board members have nothing to hide regarding the operations of the ERB.
Mr Wina says this in a statement to ZNBC News in Lusaka on Sunday.
He says it is understandable that the new government wants to clear the air over the performance of the Energy sector.
President Michael Sata on Friday appointed Mr Kabimba, who is also PF Secretary General, to head a commission of inquiry into operations of the ERB.

Mr. Wina comments on everything, just for the heck of it!
Mr Wina remember how you insulted our after he held successful campaign rallies in western province? Instead of being concerned with the high prices of fuel in Zambia, you turned yourself into a politician. Your job had to do with energy and fuel in Zambia and that is what you were being paid for not being RB’s vuvuzela. Now where is RB to save your ass? If you were part of the rot in ERB you will dance the kalindula because Sata is serious with the cleansing business. Zambians had been taken for a ride for a long time. The pandoras’ box has just been opened and we are yet to see lots. Watch this space as the Cobra continues to spit his venom. There are no surprises becoz Sata said said at his last rally that if you want to see thieves, vote for PF.Â
Why was this tainted criminal (Mr. Hussein) made chairman of ERB in the first place?
WINA, SURELY WINA AZALILA. FINALLY YOU HAVE VOICED SOMETHING.
WINA IT IS TIME TO RETIRE AND ENJOY YOUR MONEY. FOR GOD’S SAKE WHEN WILL OTHERS RULE OR MANAGE AFFAIRS OF THE COUNTRY?
YOU ARE TIRED AND WEAK PLEASE HAVE TIME TO REST!!!!
@The Goodrugby, spot on. These people have been in leadership since independence. Whats wrong with these guys…You can see from how they struggle even to walk and they dont want to retire and rest. Stress will kill you man!!!!
#5 and #6..your thinking is obscured! If you are using age as a factor, they are in the same age group as Sata and Chikwanda..be objective and not yapping carelessly and senselesslyÂ
I have never seen a party cadre appointed to head a commission of enquiry, and especially one who is not even qualified to be a judge! He may be a lawyer but his record at the bar leaves much to be desired. Surely, are there no people good enough, independent and sober minded who can do this? I am sorry.
Investigate so that the culprits are brought to book.
The SAINT
I second you…How can Wynter Kabimba with his record lead a fair Inquiry? Its Don’t Kubeba in action.Zambia is headed for some serious disaster.
Just look at the ERB Managment how many Lozis?
I have picturez of this Sikota Wina and hiz late brother Arthur in the first Kaunda cabinet of 1964! And he iz still seeking office??!!
Min. of Justice-James Skinner
Min.Finance- Arthur Wina
Min. Local Gov- Sikota Wina
ba mandrax/drug baron what can you tell us…. you have no integrity to chair such an important institution.
That’s the problem of having these tired minds to head such strategic bodies like ERB, what new ideas are they bringing to the table? Energy sectors play such crucial and dynamic roles in any economy and likewise dynamic minds are needed to meet these challenges, definitely Wina does not fall in this category. Please give us a board that is non-political, young and willing to think out side the box.
I pity this man,he will end up back in jail if he is not careful
This sector has been abused by some presidents ( and their children in some cases!). Lets remove the veil!
This shameless drug dealer who jumped bail in India and came back to Zambia as Hussein under a forged Sudanese passport has never known the word HONEST in his life.
He has always been a criminal in his life even at his old age. He lacks wisdom and has always been a source of shame to the country whenever he shows his ugly face.
He remains one of the shameful liabilities the country has to contend with.
I believe the moment he heard Sata has been elected president he shredded all the documents that would implicate him in anything shoddy.
Remember how his forged Sudanese passport disappeared from among other court exhibits?
So Kabimba be warned looking at the animal you dealing with…
Sikota Wina and his wife have not done an honest piece of work in their entire adult life. they have survived on syphoning money from government and public sector.. No wonder he was appointed to the ERB by Rupiah’s government. Chances are that the probe will reveal theft, tribalism, nepotism, insider trading, and outright theft of public funds.. Wina’s trade mark style of management……….Go Sata Go.
this man is a tribalist, he only employs lozis at his farm, he hates Bemba people….time has come for your judgment these are the people who destroyed this country…
In what way could ERB act corruptly in Zambian oil sector? Does anyone have an idea?
Is ERB involved in importing crude oil?
Are they involved in importing refined oil products, like petrol and diesel?
Are they involved in selling oil products within and outside Zambia?
Apart from setting pump prices (in conjunction with the govt for political reasons), where else in fuel prices does ERB come in?
