Missing FAZ vehicle at State House

Share

FLASHBACK Former Zambia national soccer team assistant coach George Lwandamina steps in a new Toyota Raider which was given to him at State House at the time

The Football Association of Zambia says one of the motor vehicles which was never returned to Football House has been located parked at State House.

FAZ Communications Manager Eric Mwanza says the vehicle is the one which was under discussion at the weekend.

Mwanza says as the Football body withdraws the other Hilux from former coach Dario Bonetti, it is their wish to take both vehicles for services in readiness for handover to the new coaches who will be appointed soon.

He says the other vehicle caught fire while in the hands of Bonetti and FAZ had to give him the one he had been using until the termination of his contract.

He says FAZ is now trying to engage State House on possibilities of returning the motor vehicle.

Mwanza says it has never come to the attention of the Association as to why the motor vehicle was never surrendered to Football House for use by the coaches.

Over the weekend, FAZ had asked government to investigate the whereabouts of a Toyota Hilux vehicle, meant for national soccer team coaches.

FAZ Communications Manager, Erick Mwanza said at the time that the association was unaware of the whereabouts of the said vehicle, since it was handed over to State House a few months ago.

The respective vehicle was among 3 double-cab Toyota Hilux vehicles donated to FAZ by First Quantum Minerals in 2009.

  1. BUT YOU FAZ GUYS ARE FOOLS…WHY DIDNT YOU RAISE THE ISSUE WHEN RB WAS STILL AT STATE HOUSE…NOW THAT THE GOVERNMENT HAS CHANGED YOU ARE BUSY CRYING FOR VEHICLES…..BESIDES NO ONE WAS USING THOSE VEHICLES…STUPID EXECUTIVE

    • Maybe Banda’s administration was too dictatorial, whereas Sata’s is an administration you can talk to? Even those close to Banda were scared of him, so what would you expect? Doh!!! Everyone, including VJ is saying MMD was not listening.

  2. Why did it take long for u to investigate where the vehicle was wen u knew very well that one vehicle was not handed over to u….rubbish.u had to wait for change of govt.this is the stupidity of african mentality, african politics.FAZ u are just another batch of fools.hope u go out of FAZ next year.

  3. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WERE ARGUING THAT BONNETI WAS NOT IMPOSED BY FORMER PRESIDENT H. E. R.B, HERE IT IS IN BLACK AND WHITE. EVEN THIS MUZUNGU FELT HE HAD THE CONNECTIONS TO STATE HOUSE AND THIS VEHICLE WOULD HAVE BEEN THE CARROT USED TO INTERFERE IN WHO BECOMES NEXT COACH!

  4. Kalusha didnt want any Zambian coach to drive an official car hence RB instructed GRZ to ‘loan’ a vehicle to a Zambian coach and since it was GRZ Kalu could not cease it…

  5. GUYS HONESTLY CAN YOU GO AT STATE HOUSE AND SAY “WE HAVE COME TO COLLECT OUR VEHICLES” LETS BE FAIR. THE GUYS KNEW THAT THE PRESIDENTO KNEW THE VEHICLES WHERE AT STATE HOUSE.

ITS GOOD THEY CAN NOW ALSO ASK FOR WHAT BELONGS TO FOOTBALL HOUSE.

  6. Oh dear! Zambia was all about State House. These gys knew but they just couldn`t say. There were going to be “chased” (borrowing RB`s words). Cowards? No! Intimidated? Yes who wouldn`t the way RB was running the affairs?

    Thank God he is gone.Next!

  7. It could have been for safe keeping. When was Bonneti’s official vehicle burnt, am just getting it now. Sour grapes somewhat. No case again. Next please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. OH NO! STEALING WAS SO MUCH PART OF THEM THAT THEY COULD EVEN STEAL FROM THE DEAD AND THE BLIND…….. GAT TO LET DEM GO AYO!!

  9. Everything was about Rb and sons. We said Rb was behind all the confusion in Faz. No wonder Simata and Kamanga had that courage to bring that chaos. This year Simata wished Rb would win the elections. Thank God he lost. Rb ,the foolish woman of king Solomon’s court. HH,is this the man you can defend ? Anyone that supports a criminal will be red carded by the Zambian people.

  10. What a useless president we had in the name of RB. Really Zambia was ruled by RB and SONS…eeish??????

  11. Analyst fuul is you because you know that State House was in Charge of NSCZ, Coach D, Kamunga, Shibata etc! Can’t that sink in your sick head?

  12. this is another waste of time, so after investigations the vehicle was found at state house, well damn, how many f@cking vehicles are at state house cos im missing a maybach and a lambo please investigate so i can get my cars back given to me in 2007 by the columbian high commission. again lets stick to developing the country.

  13. Really if RB wanted to steal those vehicles they wouldn’t have been found at state house but rather his sons garage.State house is a very much a ‘public place’ and how is RB to blame for a vehicle that caught fire. Please stop insulting the former head.He lead us relatively way. Most of you can afford 2 or 3 cars so whats the fuss if RB bought 4 cars.

  14. Honestly mwe bantu besu, is there no government department where GRZ vehicles are kept for safety? Since when did Sate House of Zambia become a garage?

  15. I think Sata is bringing out the WORST in people. We are all now behaving in a very childish way…and that is because we are all immitating the president who is behaving chidishly. VERY SOON we will hear someone claim he used to s.h.i.t in his living-room and not the toilet because of RB’s govt!!!

  16. Ukutumpa ka Mwanza, why did you call State House first, they were keeping for you and you accuse them of stealing? RB did alot for you suckers, he was paying Bonneti, he was paying for players and even even sourcing those vehicles for you. Mwebana bambwa mwe..

  17. I’m sure the burnt car was comprehensively insured ! Why can’t FAZ claim for a replacement ? Unless there is something fishy ….

    • FAZ LADS ARE COWARDS…THEY CANT EVEN CLAIM FOR THE BURNT VEHICLE FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY…NANGU MWENSO….my boy is even smarter than these guys..

  18. I found the behaviour of FAZ over this vehicle quite childish, irresponsible and plain stupid. Does the Vehicle belong to FAZ or State House. If it belongs to FAZ was it on their Fixed Asset register? How were the vehicles procured? Because seriously I think we are now resorting to petty issues. Next thing someone will talk about why RB drank whisky everyday!!

  19. Iyo kwena ni third world proper, now the office of the president has to be involved into the investigation of a car! A CAR!!!???? The State House should be dealing with real issues, not the whereabouts of a freakin CAR. I fault RB and his cohorts. Also Sata is overreaching with his power (too much power if you ask me), he should learn to delegate. Constitution review should be a priority, we need balance of power, lest we create a small god out of Sata!

  20. Whatever people say about Kamanga and Simataa, will not change the fact that Kalusha iz probably the best thing that happened to Zambian football on the pitch, but certainly NOT at the helm of FAZ.
So the vehicle waz “handed over to State House a few months ago”;  az in?

  21. FAZ management should be ashamed of themselves. They are bad managers of assets. How can they not know the whereabouts of what belongs to the company?

  22. @ #2: Watch your tone and language. Tell that to everyone who has worked in an oppressive regime. FAZ could not take any matter to someone who practically wanted to interfere in their business. Please, before you indirectly call yourself a fool, put up what you have done for your country. Kalusha has done a lot for Zambia and he can prove it! Stupidity is a cancer and right now it has spread to even #25!

    • @33 iwe…the issue is not about Kalusha…its about the entire executive…are you part of the coward syndicate?…the truth remains the truth…why not call a spade a spade…..

  23. *****s at FAZ!!!. What else have you failed to recover so that we recover it for you. what are you paid for if you cant protect our assets. Dont even blame RB. Remember its him who organized those vehicles when you were busy eating KCM money. Thank him that you even have 3 cars or is it 2 now. shut up ba pompwe!!!!! Can you start thinking on how you will raise money for new cars. You just know how to talk but no plan. Always in the media, making noise all over. Thats chicken shit! and give us a good coach or else you better start parking your katundu

  24. RB was getting to relaxed, oh no,drunck with power he thought State house was his garage. And mind you, if he had read the situation well prior to the elections, he would have tried to bury some of these issues. But his stu.pid confidence cost hime.He was caught offside.Just like Jesus said that He will come like a thief in the night. So mugwileni uyo a RB ananitengela ka Corolla kanga.

  25. There was alot of misuse of the vehicles at FAZ. Even the that caught fire whilst in the hands Bonetti one wonders if it was comprehesively insured. There are so many vehicles lying idle at State House and one wonders why others are saying RB wanted to steal yet it is still parked at State House. Lets give credit where it is due. RB enaged FQM and that is how they donated the three vehicles tp FAZ .and they bore GRZ No. plates to prevent bailiffs from pouncing on them. FAZ should not engage in cheap politics instead of looking into the issue of recruiting new coach and putting it house in order. We are not yet told who is going to pay damages to Bonetti and his assistants. No matter how long it takes payment will be made.
