“Then he touched their eyes and said, ‘According to your faith will it be done to you’ ”
(Matthew 9:29, NIV)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
God created us as visual beings. He is a creative God, and He’s given us the ability to create as well. It all starts with what you see in your mind’s eye. Everyone has their own mental picture of the way they see themselves, their family and their future. This picture determines what kind of life you live. If you have an image of success, victory, health, happiness and abundance, you will naturally gravitate toward that. But if you have an image of lack, defeat and mediocrity, that negative mental picture will keep you from God’s best.
Remember, if you’re going to be successful, you have to first see yourself as successful — the way God sees you. According to your faith, it will be done to you.
Faith comes by hearing the Word. That’s why it’s so important to take time every day to study and meditate on God’s promises. Let His truth sink down deeply into your heart. Open your eyes of faith so you can see yourself rising higher. Choose to have a vision of victory and be all that you can see!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, I pray today that You would open the eyes of my heart and reveal Yourself to me. Show me Your ways. Show me Your love. Help me to see myself the way You see me so that I can be all that You have created me to be in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Thank you Lord for you word. ……
According to my faith let it be to me
Thank you for an inspirational start to the week amen
Thanks Joel $ Victoria. You are my inspirational! God continue blessing you abundantly.
This is what they call mickey mouse Hermeneutics.
Hermeneutics gone wrong.
Amen
To some it is Hermeneutics, but to others, including mysel, it is reality.
“According to your faith” – this means that the spirit of God will only manifest himself to those who believe. Faith is the prerequisite. That is why Paul says:
“And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” 1 Cor. 2, 1- 5.
Indeed my faith is my prerequisite to.my success. Lord we honor you and bless your name. In jesus name. Amen
Am supporting faith as the prerequisite. But what vision for God did Paul have? When did king David start thinking to be a king? Sometimes we decieve our selves following imagination and feelings. Follow the word of God not your visions. First seek the kingdom of God and its righteousness and all things shall be added unto you.
Amen
We need to separate positive thinking theories from sound biblical teaching.
Can we have supporting scriptures to what is being discussed here.
Having a mental picture is not the same as having faith. To have faith is to believe. Simples. To not have faith is to have doubt. Faith comes by hearing, yes. But what are you hearing? You have to hear God’s word, believe it and agree with God. That is faith. Faith in God – who he is and what he says.
Anyone can have a mental pictures, even heathens do. But that is not faith in God. It may be faith in your own abilities to make things happen. But scripture is about God.
