Zesco United Surrender League Title

Share

Zesco United have surrendered their Super Division league title.

This is after losing 1-0 at home at the Trade Fair Grounds in Ndola in a Faz Super Division Week 29 game.

A 23rd minute goal scored by Bonwell Mwape ended Zesco’s slim interest in retaining their league title.

Zesco can now only amass 49 points going into their final week 30 game Ndola derby clash against Forest Rangers.

Power currently leads the table on 53 points from 28 games with two matches in hand.

The race for the 2011 Super Division title has been narrowed to two contenders; Power and second placed Red Arrows who are on 49 points from 28 games.

  6. #6 By the way, I didn’t notice that there iz no mention of Brave Rangers lynching Zesco United in their own backyard. Just goez to show how “partizan” some reporterz can be, instead of giving us football coverage, they chooze to write about struggling former championz and or a team that won the league 10 timez almost 20 yearz ago, what a shame!

  7. A sports reporter here must be giving us the permutationz of the remaining one/two gamez vis-a-vis who palyz who when and where.
