Keagan Mumba has saluted his two Under-20 strikers for riding the pressure in the Cosafa Youth Championship final.
Zambia rallied to beat Angola 2-1 in the final played in Gaborone on Saturday to lift the trophy for a third successive year.
Nkana strikers Evans Kangwa and Reynold Kampamba each scored second half goals to hand Zambia the victory.
“The attack was composed even under extreme pressure,” Mumba sad.
Mumba singled out Kampamba’s cheeky long range lob over the Angolan goal that killed off the contest.
“It paid -off and we got the killer goal from Reynold, It was a gem,” he said.
well done boys.thats why a local coach would have better inplace of renard.
You brought honour to Zambia. I am proud of you :).. But I don’t understand why you loss these skills when placed in senior team :(
Please maintain this team even for U23. Failure to maintain the same team kills our game.
Please keep the this team together, it sounds a better team than our National team.
thats great boys! u hav made us proud.it remainds me of the time of B.Bwalya and his boys then…Perry Mutapa,Milanzi,Kilambe…great team it was!
Thank you Keagan! Thank you Kalu! We should work on getting  these youngsters into Europe then get Mumba onto a course in Germany. the late Melu became a great coach this way
The team is great, but when these boys get to senior team where patronage is rife, they will only make the team after satisfying perceived football gurus …
Maintain under 20 and Kalu
Aba balumdo abakaba, wel do guys but do nt let kalu disturb your talents by selling you to teams that will make you bench footballer.
Well done boys. Please Kalu keep these boys occupied.Don’t allow them to be involved in alcohol and drugs.Remind them that this is not the ultimate but the beginning.Discipline off the pitch is important.
The Kalampa Duo helped the junior Chipolopolo lift the COSAFA trophy for the third time and to keep it permanently in Zambia.Kudos to KALUSHA BWALYA for being there for the Boys giving them morale support. Its sad that we are going to miss these two youngsters-(Kangwa & Kampamba)at Kalampa and this will have a devastating performance of the team next season.Kalu and Company see how you can keep this guys together for a long time to come.
Nkana red devils influence
Weldone Keagan including the technical bench. As for the players, congratulations and do not relent because good things for you are yet to come. Therefore continue competing even higher than you did for a better future. Weldone once more for the Mother Zambia. Thanx.
Most Under… teams have been wining medals. I wander where these boys go wrong when they go to senior national team. A soccer Acadamey should be established to train most of these in real life skills outside the box of football. It is the same thing with any other talent in Zambia we fail to nature it.
Kalu should have established a National Acadamey if he wanted to be recognized not this useless things he concentrating on. My Heart bleeds to even imagine that the was once an under … National that share the stage the likes of Spain and Brazil in 1999.
Even if we maintained this team, as long as Kalu remains FAZ chief, nothing will improve at senior level. Look at how he ignored Honor Janza for the senior team Coaching job and went for a PE teacher Renard. What is it that Renard can give us that we cant get from our local coaches?
