Two Juniors Drafted into National Team

Share

Herve Renard has added two more junior internationals to his provisional 2012 Africa Cup team.

Renard today summoned two defenders from the victorious Cosafa Youth Championship winning team that retained its title last Saturday in Gaborone.

Konkola Blades defender Amos Simwanza and Alex Sichone have been called up to the senior team.

The duo join their junior counterparts Evans Kangwa, Reynold Kampamba and Bruce Musakanya who were drafted into the team before the Under-20 left for the Cosafa Youth Championships.

The five juniors arrival in camp brings to 26 the players in the local phase of training camp that entered week two this week.

Meanwhile, a 20-member Zambia team is expected to fly out to Angola on Friday ahead of Sunday’s friendly against their hosts before returning home immediately after the match.

  1. Good news! No one told the coach that they are both “Si… and from one province!” It is time people grew up and stopped this rot! National Team players are chosen on merit and availability and so are political leaders! If you don’t join the ruling party and demonstrate commitment you cannot be appointed full stop!

  2. “Ukupunama banababo mwebo, fyenka ifia ma politikishi lukos chabe lyonse mwefinangwa mwe, nebo nalabila mu Chilamba chakwesu ku mitondo mukutikishe mwaumfwa?!”—-Translation—-why do you id.io.ts like politiking even when it is not necessary, stop it, you hear?!”

Anyway, congrats to the YOUNG CHIPOLOPOLO. good thinking also on the part of the coach to start introducing these young players to the National team so they get familiar and confortable at senior level. They may be our answer to finally win the Africa cup. If not next year, may be the next one after that.

I see people who naturally disgrantled, no matter what hapens or what Kalusha does, they will never appreciate him or his achievements—this is dispite the financial descipline Kalu has brought to FAZ—Sad really!

  3. #4 Yambayamba too much katata, what kind of ichiLamba icho mwebo ba mwisho? Fumeniktutambe bola imwe….. Use those boys in Angola, and you watch some football. Zambian miss some sansetional soccer mwee. Here is my team for Angola (traditional numbers)
    1. Muchelenganga 2.Mulenga 3. Mr. Alex Sichone 4. HH 5.Stophila 6. Nathan (of-course) 7. Katongo 8. Ba Kalaba 9. Umwaiche Evans Kangwa 10. Ka Bruce (better for him here) 11. Sate Sate Kampamba (give him freelance).

  4. What child abuse naimwe? Man United’s Danny Wellbeck, David De Gea, the Da Silva twins Fabio & Raphael are all under the age of twenty but they are playing in one of the most competitive leagues in the world. These boys need exposure. For the first time Renard has started thinking ahead. Most of the national team team players have reached their peak and we all know that.

  5. Twamitoteni mwebo ba Yamba Yamba.Mupitilishe mwane.Nalitutambile utwanike tulishi ukuteya mwebo. In English:
I watched the boys they are so good, keep YambaYamba

  6. this is what I like about Herve Renard. He made the Kalaba’s and Mbola’s in this same way. Now the Kalusha will come and start trying to sell these players to Europe prematurely for commissions. Ending up making dual signing like the have made Mbola’s career difficult.

  7. Thats why am happy Renard is back,he gives chance to performers etc Thomas Nyirenda,Mbola,Sakuwaha and the other guys he trusted at AFCON 2010 did us proud,i see great competition in the team.Kalu great job,for the people against him why dont you bother dormant sports associations eg basketball, cricket and under performing rugby boys they need it cause the football guys are doing well with even pathetic sponsorship from the complaining govt.GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! CHIPOLOPOLO IYE IMWE
