The race for MMD presidency is heating up with one of the contenders Kabinga Pande declaring that he will re-brand the party once elected Party president.
Mr. Pande who is MMD Vice National Chairman says he is well equipped to unite the party and move it to glory.
He says the party needs a man like him who is ready to rebuild the party and partner with the grass roots.
Mr. Pande says the MMD needs to wipe out insincerity and all elements of corruption in the MMD party.
Meanwhile Mr. Pande says the MMD National Executive Committee has not met to decide on which route it will take in electing its party president.
And Mr. Pande has dismissed as mere perception the notion that Dr Nevers Mumba and Felix Mutati are the front runners for the MMD presidency.
The MMD is on course to elect its president and among the contenders include Chisamba M.P Moses Muteteka, Situmbeko Musokotwane and Felix Mutati.
Others are Kabinga Pande and Nevers Mumba.

@wheels love your comment but sorry to dissapoint you the son who happens to be a very good friend of mine is in manhattan on his own accord. He got to the US on a tennis scholarship and is now a qualified economist and on top of that has an MBA to his name. The boy is as humble as they come, has a very good job and we should give merit where due. Howe many of us can claim to be helping Zambians other than our own families at home? He has partnered with a charity organization in Zambian and has built a very good youth centre in Chanyanya Kafue. We should help build our own instead of pouring scorn on them for working hard.

Electing a young, vibrant, intelligent MMD leader will in itself send a sure message that any party with old and un appealing looks is a gonner party. Its a question of how was he able to afford to pay for loft in manhattan, NY. If he was making enough money thats is not a big deal. To afford a decent life in manhattan and work there you need to make a MINIMUM OF $3000 PER WEEK. He may have a nice job, nice does not mean he is paid well. Sources say MR PANDE, was remitting some money to meet some expenses. If its his own personal money, thats fine. But if it tax payers money then he needs to be accountable. Chinyanga, I like your post. It was a good settlement. But Abena Zambia, they should know the characters of the people they are considering to put in office. We have alot of information and if someone wants to bring it on, they should. We shall not sit quietly and see our country ruled by a few privileged individuals. Zambia Is for every Zambian that holds a Zambian passport or has buried on of theirs in that land and I have every right to speak on my country. And if someone wants to be in public office, they should be ready to answer where they are accused. It does not mean hate, but doing the right thing.
