Faz Sends Non-Exco to Sports Council AGM

Share

Faz today, Saturday sent a low level representative to the National Sports Council of Zambia annual general meeting in Lusaka.

Football House was represented by its head of administration and fixtures Julio Chiluba.

NCSZ AGMs requires an association sends an association sends an executive committee member or its general secretary.

Faz communications officer Erick Mwanza said Chiluba was representing Faz as acting general secretary.

He said Faz general secretary George Kasengele could not make it because he was unwell.

Meanwhile, sports minister Fackson Shamenda said he was not pleased with the overall organization of the NSCZ AGM due to the late arrival of official and delegates from affiliated associations.

This is after it took over one hour 50 minutes before the meeting that was scheduled to start at 09:00 began at which only 25 out of 40 affiliated sports associations attended.

“I was getting a little bit upset but I don’t normally get upset,”Shamenda said.

“I will give you a benefit of doubt. Next time such a thing happens I will stop attending your meetings.

“No wonder we have problems in the sporting world.

You are totally disorganized, you should lead by example.”

Shamenda also had a go at the NSCZ for holding the AGM in the squash section hall at National Sports Development Centre.

“We are not here to watch squash, this is a board meeting for National Sports Council of Zambia, the supreme in the organization of sports,” he said.

“We depend on you to succeed if you mess up, we are messed up too and for you to be meeting in a place like this is not acceptable.

“Next time lets meet in an environment that is conducive.”

  1. MAYBE THERE WAS NO SITTING ALLOWANCE FOR THE SPORTS COUNCIL EXECUTIVE, THAT IS THE DRIVING FORCE IN MOST MEETINGS IN ZAMBIA.

  2. Is it the NSCZ which always condemn Kalu & FAZ? Look at them how dismantled they are. They demand respect from others while they can’t respect themselves.

  3. Things fall apart indeed, even the centre can no longer hold!!!! What a messed up country this one is. I dont equally expect such disorganization at that level. Where are the so called professionals?

  4. thats a bad working culture in zambia, its good that the minister is trying to enforce a time is money mentality,i hope all ministers can enforce this in their respective minstries.keep it up sports minister,so far iam impressed with the way you conduct your work.good perfomance sir.

  5. The only time you see a Zambian a.rse moving is when you promise free money in every one’s pocket – that is the only reason Sata won the elections. It is pathetic. That is the very reason why foreign investors always have to bring their own people. Zambians are just too lazy, talk too much, complain a lot, and they are big THIEVES. The majority of Zambians who live in urban areas are thieves: they have either stolen before or have kept something that does not belong to them or would not hesitate to do that if presented with an opportunity. That is why corruption will never end: because both the police and citizens keep conniving to steal from themselves.

  6. Gokigo u have hit the nail on the head. U damn rite. Pa Zed wako ni wako MENTALITY is the order of the day. Bwafya. Ba Shikulu tabaka kwanishe beka iyo.

  7. We need to start afresh at the NCSZ there is no leadership and most of the associstion have the same problem. Having a bar at the ncsz is a gud idea but giving the bar more attention than sports is what worries me alot thosr guys just play pool while drinking no time to plan and think. Drinking beer is now snonimous

  8. if A.Chikwanda is acting president,he is given 95% powers of the head of state. Is head of admin a low ranked official?Hes second from gs,he was represanting faz after all it was a lowly organised scz agm,i thought you would have said he failed to adequately represant faz.Leave faz alone, ninwe ba simata go back home and assist linyungandambo.

  9. NSCZ the spoilers! I thought they had been dissolved by now! I have no respect for them any more! They lost credibility when they registered a splinter group because they used to go to bed na RB, Simaata and Kamanga. No integrity in the body please fire ’em all.
