Angola shocked Zambia 1-0 this afternoon in a friendly match played in Dundo.
The two teams went scoreless into the break of this 2012 Africa Cup preparatory game played at the estádio Sagrada Esperança.
Angola broke their former coach Herve Renard’s hopes of a win against his old team in the 59th minute when veteran striker Love headed in the games’ lone goal.
The win for Angola comes just four days after drawing 1-1 at home with Cameroon in another friendly played in Cabinda.
Tough luck guys.
Test of strength!
Do not give up! And do not get shocked, anything happens in football!
Like Arsenal. 1 – 0 to City
Its good news cos. Herve renard now needs to work extra hard, since Angolans have shown him that they made a good choice to fire him, now chipolopolo u get reject coaches.Next to shock us is Botswana in January. Is angola going to AFCON?
Zambia hired a coach who was fired by Angola for his incompetence! What better things may we expect from him? And yes, Angola is going to AFCON.
And you said playing a warm up game against India was a good thing, now you meet your match and fail to perform. Shame!!!
Zambia is going to lose and come back early from playing Africa up , unvesa nsoni aaaaaaaa ati chipolopolo ,what chipolopolo all about losing.?
Pliz clarify what u mean Angola shocked zambia because angola is a stronger team than zambia they have players all over the world. so was the shock as a result of the slim margin or what?
Chipolopolo! are we realy a big bullet? may be at under 20 level .It luks like we use all the bullets at under 20 and fire blanks at national level , may be its time to rebrand .
Herve Renard has not improved Zambian soccer in anyway. Why is it that at under 20 with local coaches we beat all southern african teams (3 yeras in a row ) while at national level with so called expatriate coaches being paid collosal sums we fail to perfom.
Any way we are going to market upcoming stars-kangwa,kampamba , musakanya . Good lucky boys !
whats more worrying is not that we lost, its that we are unable to score not even a single goal. To win the Africa cup you must have the ability to score goals and to defend them. The poor performance at senior national team level is indicative of poor administration as well as poor coaching.
THE SAME OLD STORY ABOUT ZAMBIA
The friendly match served no purpose because majority of the players won’t be part of the AFCON squad. We can properly gauge our performance when we play with our full strength side.
FAZ should organise friendlies in FIFA sanctioned dates so that our professional players can be part of the preparations.
Please bane, this is just a loss dont start pointing fingers,in football we win or loss,by the way we have no players in Zambia with the calibre of Angolans and South Africans in competitive teams in Europe….so even Ferguson as coach can fail in Zambia, lets give them support……am sure they are already crying and afraid of your comment from administrators to coach.
its a friendly and it was a game in which the coach has to use many tactics before getting to plan A,RENARD LEFT CAUSE OF SUCH BEHAVIOUR from media and funs alike not the money issue,i remember him being pissed with journalists and funs back home when zambia made it to the quarters,i trust him and at the end he will pick the right mix
#5 Even after we are humbled by Senegal on 21/01/12 in the opening game at AFCON, you’ll still be saying, “Herve renard now needs to work extra hard…..”
at the finals of the africa cup ..no team is there to test players, so i don’t think zambia will be playing like a friendly match..changing players, positions etc..the team will be ready and solid..so stop being critical and by the way your “gem” evans kangwa played and did not score..y not pick on him rather than the coach..? am sure every member in that team wants to win and they will deliver come senegal..i don’t think senegal can match zambia..they missed the last cup final where we danced with gabon, cameroun and tunisia..2010 no one gave zambia a chance but they topped the group..just wait the games start in january..we are still fine tuning..go.. go.. chipolopolo..4get about these armchair critics..i will support u all the way …win or lose..thats football
\:d/
We told you Renard is just too dull for our coach but bcoz Kalu’s form 5 certificate is bad, he thinks Renard is good enough to coach our team
iyeeeeee zipolopolo…..all the way zambia nangu tuluse nangu tuwine ala tuli fipolopolo….lets go zambia lets go, the only thing that gives us pride is that we have talent, intelligence abafana imaoneka, even when they lost again Nigeria in a friendly recently, they made nigeria look like ghosts, lets be proud of the boyz guyz, this was just a friendly. we may make mistakes in economics or politics but we get consolation when we watch our boyz play.
if that friendly with angola was not important why waste money on it? you blogers should sieve good advice from bad advice. this coach is not good. period. he was fired by true administrators in angola due to his inertia and yet you want to glorify him. wait, africa cup is but a few weeks to go, and i will be back!
No comment, i wont talk about Zambia national team any more.
LETS TRY THIS TEAM WHEN PLAYING BOSTWAN. FRONTÂ ,mbesuma, chamanga, sakuhawa christopher katongo MID clifford mulenga, isaac chansa,Andrew sinkala CAPITAIN,kalaba DEFENCE joseph musonda, sunzu,Blly Mwanza
