South Africa has downgraded its January 11 friendly match against Zambia in Pretoria to a mare training game.
According to Kickoff.com, this is after three South African Premiership clubs refused to release its players for national duty for the friendly.
Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Golden Arrows have all refused to release any players for that game including the other friendly involving Ghana.
South Africa face Ghana in Rustenberg on January 15 in another friendly.
Zambia will face South Africa at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville.
I would urge the zambia national team to cancel the friendly game with sourh africa because we have nothing to learn instead they stand to gain more than us.organise friendlies wit malawi, t
Tanzania and other countries
They are just afraid of being humuliated at home. They know they will loose so they want to say it was just meant for training.
I THOUGHT THEY SAID SATA INSTEAD OF SAFA. BA SAFA MWILATINA
Fake.Ponga liwewe at work, thank you mr kamanga and tou want to come into faz like that, wait and see.
Yeah right they know the outcome hahahaha#scared#
Kalusha’s admin leaking SA ballls. Why can’t Ghana and Zambia organise a friendly since they have both been dumped by the same team.
@6 kci, spot on. why cant we play ghana since they are our potential opponents should we qualify to the second round. this will give us an insight of their ball game.
#4 Kamanga will never be FAZ president!!! He’s the first football administrator who succeeded negatively by takin Kabwe worriors to Division One!!!Football house is not for failures like Andrew Kamanga,Ponga and Simata!!!
this site is full of politicians. #8 sounds like a lot of people who said Sata will never be president. there is no single person who determines who becomes president in a scenario were pipo use secret ballots. The majority always wins and just Ba corn does not make the majority. Football in Zambia has been at the worst with the current FAZ executive. It is the mentality like yours that has taken football to the dogs.
whatever…losers! they can’t even make the africa cup or world cup unless they host..dancing publicly only to be told they are not africa cup material..shame on them..they even started blaming CAF..how desperate is that?..and the sangoma was blamed…ha ha aha..man..these chaps need to go back to football basics and yes we will train with them..just to show them how their under 20 kidos were kicked..5-1..ouch!..that hurts..5-1..
nowonder they never qualified. hopeless
Instead of blaming SAFA, let FAZ look in the mirror and pay attention to the finer details of organizing. The proposed match was not on a FIFA date, so the clubs are within their right to refuse to release the players. FAZ should have stitched  SAFA to some agreement of some sort.Let FAZ outsource the organisation of friendlies for Chipolopolo.
Since the match has been downgraded to a mere training game, Zambia should play mostly reserve players to give them some sort of experience at international level. Otherwise Zambia should try to look beyond South Africa and the SADC region for serious preparations.
Where are we on world ranking in football. Are we still on two digit figure or we have graduated to three digits?
