President Michael Sata has accused the newly appointed Prime Minister of Barotseland Clement Sinyinda of peddling lies that government intends to remove Lukulu, Sesheke and Kaoma districts from western province.

The President wondered how the government can remove the three districts from western province when it is actually in the process of creating more districts to decentralize its operations.

He has further accused the UPND of misleading the people of Solwezi through traditional rulers that Solwezi will soon be aligned to the copperbelt province.

Mr Sata regretted that the UPND and Mr. Sinyinda have failed to understand the geography of the country.

President Sata has since urged all constitutional office bearers to defend the constitution of the republic of Zambia from the people with selfish political ambitions capable of dividing the nation.

The President Sata was speaking when he swore in the Gershom Siame as senior private secretary at State house, Rapson Soko and Anthony Kabaso as deputy private secretaries respectively.

The President also sworn in Teddy Mulonga as deputy secretary to the Cabinet and Dr. Kawaye Kamanga as chairperson for the public service commission. Agness Musunga is the new permanent secretary in the ministry of youth and sport.

And President Sata has warned State House officials against selling appointments to people wishing to see him.

President Sata said that he will not hesitate to dismiss anyone that found engaging in corrupt practices saying people wishing to see him should be accorded an opportunity if his schedule allows.

And Mr Sata has directed Cabinet office to find a replacement for Sydney Wataya who was appointed deputy director for the Anti- Corruption Commission (ACC) but has not taken up the appointment.

Mr.Wataya is currently working in the United States of America (USA) for that country’s government.

President Sata in giving the directive stated that the country cannot afford to wait for Mr Wataya to come and be sworn-in in September when there are many Zambians who are capable of doing the job.

  1. This is not the time for accusations and fighting! We are all in a reconcilatory mood (most of us) because of the big game underway and everyone appears focused on that. Unfortunately, we tend to enjoy squabbling. Why can we not promote the spirit of unity for once? The head of state has the utmost obligation of promoting unity and the way he responds to criticism and rumours is pivotal to his success. It is not necessary to seem to fight all the time. We deserve a smile for once, please!

    • Well said. The big man needs some lectures on Promotion of Dialog and Conflict resolution. We do not expect a father to be shouting all the time. As a result, instead of wanting to get to his side, his children shall always want to distanciate themselves from him. Just on this one alone, I am beginning to miss Chiluba.

  2. THANK YOU MR. WATAYA. YOU HAVE JUST SAVED YOURSELF FROM THIS INCOMPETENT GOVERNMENT. Sata, you supporters are saying this time is for drumming up support for Chipolopolo boys yet you are busy voting bad words. Twakana!!!!

  3. Yakosa. Yaba ba UPND eee. Ever since you lost elections u thnk and dream of a PF collapse. It wont work. UPND & HH should grow up.

  4. Why add more districts? is it because it’s cheap, what we want is more schools, hospitals, tared roads etc. Pulling districts from province to province will not add any flavour to better admin of Zambia. Black president, black mind, black ideas.

WE WANT CHANGE PERSONAL AND CHANGED MAP OF ZAMBIA

    • Friend, you have dribled me with your last phrase ‘Black president, black mind, black ideas’. You started quite well but just spoiled the gravy on this note. Would I find out if you are white. Any way, I feel I need not even ask as whatever responce I shall get goes back to the conclusion that you are an IdiYoTi…Bloody-FarKing-AssiHoooooooOOOOOO!!!!!

  5. “…Sata has since urged all constitutional office bearers to defend the constitution of the republic of Zambia from the people with selfish political ambitions capable of dividing the nation.”

Surely, ba Sata who is dividing the country here? The people you are accusing are actually trying to defend the unity of our country from your selfish ambitions. I don’t think even your ministers understand what you are trying to achieve with your “subtractions, additions, divisions and multiplications” to the geograph of the country in the disguise of easing the governance.

  6. Just open up development in districts with too much gap and improve the road network, you will see people relocating themselves instead of picking up quarrels with tongas.

  7. It is Sydney WATAE, and I think it is just as well, this is one hell of a womaniser, let him remain where he is, we don’t need him

  8. Satana,it is you dividing the country! why areu always picking on pipo? awe ici ci presido chiti nvesa nsoni mwandi. Whats wrong with u?

  9. I would be glad to work for my country under any serving government. but to be frank, I dont feel like being a part of the best ever local government minister – Micahel Sata’s government. Every level headed Zambian will agree that the ‘Man of Acton’ as he is populary known by many, is surly misdirecting his actions. Please define the direction of the country. Stop insulting those that are positively critisizing our man in plot one.

  10. Improvng admin, transpot nd comunication ar key to developmnt. Some initiatvs luk ugly but are blesngs in disguise. VIVA SATA

  11. Is Watae in the USA or he works for USAID in Zambia. The last time i heard he was based in Zed. What is motor mouth blurbing about.

  12. Just how many traditional leadewrs is Sata going to threaten? Well, he has already created a problem by taking Chirundu and Itezhitezhi from Southern and watch him cede Lukulu, Kaoma and Sesheke from Barotseland sparking a fully blown cessationist war in Zambia. And the appointments, Sata is a stinking tribalist, does he really think all other Zambioans will continue stomaching his tribally bigoted appointments forever?

  13. it is funny that some people of western province are advocating for the break away of western province from the rest of zambia when they are the chaps who paved the way for zambia to be colonised in the first place,  is it not  lewanika who signed  a treaty with the BSAC paving the way for the white man to come and colonise the whole of zambia! and today you come and say you not  part of zambia?
if a dog cries for a bone give the dog a bone, give these chaps what they want!

  14. SATA IS A BASTARD, ALL THE TIME HE OPENS THE MOUTH SO MUCH RUBBISH COMES OUT. OH MY GOD THIS DOD IN STATE HOUSE IS STINKING LIKE VOMITUS, WE HATE YOU VULTURES WITH ROTTEN TEETH

  15. Watae is not Bemba so he cannot wait for him to give notice. It is a blessing in disguise so that a Bemba can replace him. Watch this space.

  16. President Michael Sata has shot down his own foot. The Litunga of Barotseland is the second highest man in the kingdom of barotsaeland. It does not ned the GRZ constitution to recognise the Ngambela, just as it does not, to recognise the Litunga.By uttering such careless and hateful words against the Ngambela, Sata has insulted the Litunga, the BRE, and the people of barotseland to the highest levels that cannot just be left to rot!Sata has disowned the Litunga. SATA does not deserve Barotseland. Sata is too cheeky and Proud to accept that the Litunga of Barotseland is a stakeholder in the formation of Zambia. he is a shareholder so to speak of Zambia. If Sata thinks that we are happy with him for what he has just said, he should watch himself closely in the mirror in the next f

  17. HERE IS THE NEW BARTOSE AGREEMENT DRAFTED FOR THE people of western Sorry i mean barstoseland .
western province will be granted semi autonomous region status. they will be required to print their own money, they will have to print their own passports. they will require a visa to go to other places in zambia!
when applying for jobs zambians will be given first priority. for those barotse people who manage to find a job in zambia they will be required to apply for a residency and work permits renewable every 6 months at a fee of 5 million kwacha. the government reserves the right to revoke this permit at any given time.
bartose land people will not be eligible for busaries at unza, cbu or any other government instiutions, students who manage to enroll in zambian schools should apply for

  18. for a student visa. barotse students do not qualify for goverment scholarships to go and study abroad
please pass this on to the “PRIME MINSTER” TO SIGN and you will see how fast the bartoseland business will go away.

  19. So, Mr President are we going to be fighting all the time? Why can’t you just swear in people quietly and everybody goes home quietly? Ninshi ulubuli so abena? Lyonse nipa makofi. Twanaka pafula. You are the same i.d.i.o.t who recently moved two districts in Southern province to Central/Lusaka whatever. And these districts were in the same rumour machinery in which Solwezi, Kaoma, Lukulu, and so forth were circulatin. What do you think people judge from that? If you want to reverse a s.t.u.p.i.d decision, just do so and explain to the people that it was an oversight. We will understand and respect you more, even though you are an a-hole. Just call a respectable press conference and clear the air, NOT shouting at other leaders like that to divert attention. Otherwise just shut up then!

  20. The pipo are now tired of this hatred and the Chongwe commission was a fake one as he thought that the pipo of Barotseland would hate the MMD.He releases the Barose activists when his agenda was to release his ngoma who was jailed for assaulting his fellow PF cadres. The lozi activists should consider themselves like. Leave the Lozis alone development or no development they will never kneel down as beggars for the things that belong to them. .Plz let Mr. Watea alone what is Deputy Director of ACC to him. We know Mr. Water is a lawyer and has taught many students at UNZA.

  21. Magnet know that what King Lewanika did to sign an agreement cecil Rhodes helped this conntry to be where we are.Can you imagine if he did not sign that agreement with Rhodes there would be no copperbelt to day.You should thank King Lewanika for what he did.He had a vision unlike what we are seing to day no agenda or programme to develop this country only squables every day.

  22. Some people dont even know what is good for themselves.I started school in 1972 as far as i can remember my social studies,Zambia had and still has 72 districts before PF came power.$* years of independence and you still want to remain with the same number of districts which catered for a population of 3 million?Sata is so much advanced in his thinking better than the so called intellectual tribalists.Decentralisation is not just a word,it means what this govt is doing, bringing govt closer to the people.Population of Zambia has increased, its only normal that administrative centres also increase at the same rateto saerve the people

  23. Yapping Yapping Yapping Yapping Yapping.Slow down mbuya.TB Joshua’s prohesized days are nearing avoid too sensitive issues they will hurt your heart.

  24. The issue of the current wave of District re-alignments first came to the fore by a publication in the Online Tabloid ‘Zambian Watchdog’ in an exclusive article posted by the editor and entitled “Sata to move Chirundu to Lusaka, Solwezi to Copperbelt” on January 28, 2012. I suspect many people did not take the story very seriously and expected Government would, as it has done before denounce the Story and the Tabloid. No government or State House denunciation of the story was forthcoming but lo and behold some of the ‘prophecy’ in that story was getting fulfilled when State House announced the ceding of Chirundu and Itezhi-tezhi from Southern Province to Lusaka Province and Central Province respectively, exactly as was ‘prophesied’ in the Zambian Watchdog story!

  25. Given this background, whatever the Ngambela said cannot be misconstrued to be peddling lies or exposing ignorance of the geography of the land. The story of the district re-alignment was already in the public domain. If anything, the Government and State House could actually be accused of peddling the ‘lies’ by not disputing the story when it came out and worse still by doing exactly as the story said they would do in the case of Chirundu and Itezhi-tezhi.
As for the Ngambela he gets my thumbs up for challenging the purported ceding of Lukulu and Kaoma from Barotseland and I am sure he gets the thumbs up of all Malozi. That is why one of his titles is ‘Minyolui’ (the owner of Barotseland)

  26. In my honest assessment, I feel that statements released by the Ngambela of Borotseland are more credible compared to the noise that emerges from the Republican State House. Apparently, Wataya is much wiser to decline an appointment under Sata’s Govt. Wataya has a better and more satisfying job in the USA rather than come home to be subjected to daily public insults bellowing from the roof of State House. Sata has reached the climax state as that of Bokasa of Central African Republic. If some people can feast on monkey meat, then the human race is endangered in Zambia. The error of torture when Richard Ngenda, Ronard Penza, John Tembo, Wezi Kaunda perished mysteriously is now on the horizon.

  27. In any case a word of caution to the President and his team may be appropriate here; while we appreciate that the president has the powers according to the ‘Provincial and District Boundaries Act’ to realign district and provinces in Zambia he must only use those powers after thorough consultation with all stakeholders. The views of the people must be taken into consideration. It is irritating to hear Mr Kennedy Sakeni breathing threats against those who want to demonstrate against the re alignment of Chirundu and Itezhi-tezhi. Can someone please remind Mr Sakeni, the honourable Member of Parliament for Mansa that this is a democracy and in a democracy people have a right to demonstrate?

  28. give backl itezi tezi and chirundu you sewer cocroch of a president if you want to enjoy your presidency,we shal burn this shit of a country, the reasons advanced are stupid, you just hate the tongas and envious of the little they have you devil.you shall surely harvest for this seed you have planted

  29. Sata, should not accuse others of peddling in lies yet he is the master peddler of lies.Who first lied that MMD printed fake money, how about changing the face of Zambia and her people in 90days,the 100% salary increament for health workers, the list keeps going on and on endlessily.Michael remove that log in your eye before highlighting a piece of grass in another man’s eye. Liimpeche la mueteleli.
