Everybody had written off Zambia ,they said the star studded team of Ivory coast would be to much for little known Zambia. But we defied the odds and beat the Elephants of Ivory coast 8-7 on penalties . Zambia dominated parts of the match and did not allow the so called “star player” to shine.
This is a great victory for Zambia , Kenneth Kaunda , Guy Scott and Rupiah Banda were there to celebrate with the team.
Musonda was injured during the first half , after the game coach Renard carried him to celebrate with his team mates.

the way hh was combining with his fellow players, especially chisamba and chansa, was awesome. at least he has shown us tribalists that tribalism is bad and does not pay. let us all work for the betterment of our beloved country. bravo hh, bravo sunzu, bravo katongo, bravo mweene, bravo sinkala, bravo nkausu, bravo all zambian tribes. zambia is our own country, so lets unite.
Great comment……….please can you tell me what the Players were singing at the end?
Value of Africa cup is $1.5 M
A question and awsner guide to taxes for the average taxpayer. That is what comes to mind when I think of your tax blog. I love the format. I think it would be a great thing for high school and college kids to read.
Well done bozy and th officials.:d:d:d:((
Let FAZ be self supporting from now make business plans K10 Billion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AKALIMBUSHA KATILE BANE: PAMUSHI NGA PAFWILE INSOFU, NELYASHI LILANDWAPO LYANSOFU.( If an Elephant is killed in a village, stories told are about the elephant) Zambian prov. The questions is: what, which, who, where is the elephant?
TRUE LEADER, GOOD COACH, CARRYING JOSEPH??? WOW YOU TOUCHED MY HEART COACH. I SALUTE YOU?? WELL DONE CHIPOLOPOLO
Was impressed when Renard carried the injured Joseph Musonda so he could go celebrate with friends on the pitch. that was an awesome sight. Just shows that this manager has a good heart. Some would have only cared about themselves, what with all that limelight to busk in.
Thirty-three cheers for Chipolopolo……………….we watched with bated breath here in England. We are ex-teachers who worked and married in Zambia many years ago and we have never lost our love for your Country and her People.
So proud of our lads! It’s Zambia all the way…thanks David and Barbara
Congratulations to our team! And Great thanks to our Great Goalkeeper Mweene!
its good for Zambia,im happy its last time for Mbesuma.
We deserve it,and God is Great
Thank you David and Barbara (no16), for the love and support of mother Zambia. It is people like you who are travelled and exposed to other people’s culture who understand the pain and joy of others. May you remain richly blessed, and hope you pay Zambia a visit in the near future. The boys played very good football, i am sure even the Ivorian team must still be in shock. What hit me, is how the Ivorian team immediately slumped on the turf after the game. I thought to myself that they have never been punished like that by a team. 120 mins of serious challenge! Thanks to nsima which gives us so much stamina! Viva Chipolopolo boys!
There are no words!
Sata is has brought glory and honour to righteous Zambians.
1. Honour thy father – KK goes to Gabon
2. Give the other cheek – RB goes to Gabon
3. Do unto others as you would ahve them do to you – Renard lifts Joseph to the celebrate with fellow Chipolopolo team-mates.
4.Â
4. As for Chipolopolo, thank you for showing the world that “Our Father who art in heaven” is a force to reckon with. Job well done. The departed brothers can now rest in eternal peace! Amen!
Zikomo! Yebo! Twalumba! Twatasha! Asante sana! Merci! Gracias! Danke!
It is so nice to see KK LIVE TO SEE THIS DAY!
Good job boys you done me proud forever!!!! viva chipolopolo viva Renard…you are the man for the people what a way to help unite us even more as one Zambia One nation by winning the AFCON cup 2012. Thank you.
Our victory is an amazingly touching story. We should make a movie about this. The whole world needs to hear our football story. This Cup is a fitting tribute to the team that perished in the Gabon air crash.
I was a heavy critic of the National team. I guess now I am so proud they have delivered for a change. Every dog has its day. Its itme our people where happy !
this is our moment to shine. wish this team great things. am sure now the so called big teams will be begging us to play them. ya we are the top dogs and we are the champions.
We are now bulldogs of African football
i think the value of winning the afcon should be more than $2M. It shopuld be ten imes that. This is the time for Faz to invest well. In transport, communication, construction and other potential businesss. Faz be self reliant and support soccer in schools.
To kalusha improve on transparency. To Kamaga and Simata.,this is not time for arguing blindly, pls keep quite and argue where it matters. Not what we heard that you were supported by Plot …#. We need to qualify to the world cup.
I am so proud to be Zambian!!!!!!!!!
I’ve got this weird mixed feeling. I mean, I’m happy for TTU and Ben and Trixie and Jenn and all, but No one’s going to bilveee me when I say I was here when it was just boing boinged (or whatever it was that got me here.)I guess it’s okay as long as you newbies listen up There’s a community here. We play nice and stuff. FD
It’s a short term capital gain, so any piofrt is taxed as ordinary income. The whole 74,200 might not actually be gain though since you can subtract things like a realtor’s commission, and any improvements (not repairs) you made on the property.
