  1. WERE RE OUR ECONOMISTS IMWE?
I JUST WANT TO COMMENT ON THE ONLY WORD THEY KNOW “INFLATION”, WHEN MINERS REQUEST FOR ONLY K500,000=00 SALARY INCREAMENT OUR DULL ECONOMISTS ARE ALWAYS IN THE FOREFRONT TALKING SHIT THAT THERE WILL BE “INFLATION” IN THE COUNTRY.
NOW HOW MUCH MONEY WILL IN CIRCULATION NOW THAT OUR NATION TEAM WILL BE GIVEN K300 MILLION EACH PLUS MONEY FROM THE TROPHY & THESE OTHER COMPANIES & WELL WISHERS WILLING TO DONATE THEM MONEY? OBVIOUSLY MORE MONEY THAN THE INCREAMENT ALL THE MINERS CAN BE GIVEN, SHAME ON OUR FAKE ECONOMISTS!!!!!

    • A salary is reccurent these are one off donations… if government pays it’s employees an average of K2.5m x 400,000 = K1trn per month that’s K12trn/year, now if you increase their salaries by K500,000= to an increase of K2.4trn/year… Use the same principle on the miners or whichever workforce and you’ll realise that the money that has been donated to the national team as one off payments will not sustain a monthly salary let alone an increase coz year in year out you’ll have to sustain your staff’s salary, that’s why when making an increasment you have to be assured of growth otherwise people will lose jobs just so that we can spread the pay across the staff whose salaries we’ve just recently increased.

  2. #2 Sata we know that it is your time to walk on red carpet. Mudala, let the old Kk walk on it as he seems to struggle to walk on the grass. KK Kk Kk

  3. It is interesting seeing how this trophy brought Lupiya and Sata together.Probably it is high time the two put their political differences aside.

  4. # 3  Your logic is flawed! One has to consider that the player payment is once off. It will only take 18,000 miners in one month receiving an increase of K500,000 to equate to the amount (K300m*30) players that the the players will receive. If the miners get the increase it will be on an ongoing basis. I stand to be corrected but I am sure we have more than 18,000 miners working in our mines!! Even if we take into account the other bonuses the players will get, for arguments sake K500m instead of K300m, it will only take 30,000 miners getting an increase of K500,000 to equate to that amount. So the once off winning bonus of the players can not be equated to having the same effect on the economy as a marginal salary increase for miners who number in tens of thousands.

  5. Sunzu is the only player who is 6 foot looking at picture 7…this boy will be in Europe soon i can put my money on it..let’s hope Kalu doesn’t try to double as his agent!!

  6. WOW nice pictures, Thanks president Sata you are a man with Manners by recognizing RB and serving him, well done, where is the Old man KK, Did You take the food for him Ba president?? We love you for your hospitality.

  7. I think they are having pasta. Where is the Ubwali na Chisense?
It is nice to see the three Presidents walking together and smilling in peace and harmony. Wish I was there.

  8. State House buffets don’t look appetising; the broccoli in the picture looks over-cooked and the buffet bar is so dated, poorly laid out, employ young creative chefs to bring new ideas!!

  9. You people who are complaining about the boys being given 300mils should go to hell.I mean the boys deserve every single ngwee of that money. They brought joy, pride and to some extent unity. And this lad talking about inflation needs medical attention. We have people getting lots of money exceeding 300mils per month and yet you don’t talk about this inflation shit.So instead of you hating why don’t work hard and get your own 300mils!!..simple!

  10. Pic 2. Let the rest of Africa watch and learn. This picture says a lot about how our politics have matured so quicly in Zambia. Let us all work together. Long live KK. Long live Banda. Long live Sata. May god bless Zambia.

  11. With the exception of pics 8 &9, it’s a great joy to see everyone in a mellow mood following the triumphant arrival of the soccer team & AFCON Trophy to Zambia!

To my surprise, even Mushota agrees that these are indeed great pictures today. My recommendation for those of you who are in the mood of posting negative statements is to simply look away if you don’t like what you see. The last thing we need on here is a blogger telling us that it is wrong for our President to host a luncheon with the national team or even celebrate their victory. Seeing that a president’s life is not just all about work and politics, but to aIso mingle with the people of his nation and share in their joyous moments… ask Obama or Mandela.

  12. This blog is full of disgrantled pipo. Everything here is great especially Banda and sata walking hand in hand. Thats outstanding man!. You never see this most african countries.

  13. I pray that the spirit of unity continues. RB you must accept Jesus as your personal savior because you have a heart of a christian ie no bitterness, very forgiving and you exercise unconditonal love. Zambian leadersTeach Africa true democracy.
