Andrew Kamanga is in trouble with Faz over his response to attacks from sports minister Chishimba Kambwili.

Faz communications officer Erick Mwanza said in a statement on Friday that the Kabwe Warriors chairman has brought the game into ridicule and disrepute.

“Mr. Kamanga, who is a member through Kabwe Warriors FC, we shall, as is our stated policy, not respond to him through the media but use existing channels of communication and appropriate judicial bodies to deal with him regarding his attack on the Association through his unfounded allegations which can bring the name of the Association into ridicule and disrepute,” Mwanza said.

Mwanza however said Faz will not deal with Nkhosi Warriors chairman Keith Mwewa whom he said was not a member of Faz and refer the case to its affiliate the Lusaka Amateur Football Association.

“We would to reaffirm that Football House would have recommended punitive sanctions against Mr. Mwewa were he a member of FAZ.
However, the organisation he is reported to represent, Nkhosi Warriors FC, is NOT a member of FAZ and can therefore not be dealt with by the Association,” Mwanza said.

Mwanza accused Mwewa and Kamanga of trying to open old wounds and being divisive in the run-up to the  March 31 Faz annual general meeting.

“It is therefore irresponsible that these people who have failed to prove themselves at club administration should be given so much coverage,” he said.

  1. Just campaign FAZ i engaging you in such talks to prevent u from concentrating on challenging the current executive. Check msanzala by election, RB was watching football and Sata campaining, PF carried the day, so all those who want to challenge any FAZ executive position please start campaining NOW

  2. Leave them alone iwe Eric stop promoting some kind of one party system in FAZ which is chaired by a demigod who can’t be questioned!!

  3. E. Mwanza you have no teeth and are just trying to protect your job because you know that when the administration changes you wont have that Job. Learn to keep quiet we are not in a dictatorship state and cant even show what credentials you posses to talk about people with accomplished CV’s. Who is Kambwili your god or something. He is an elected official and as such a servant of the people and should stop acting like he was born a minister. He is answerable to the people who brought him to where he is and not antagonize them.

  4. It is just shocking to see and watch the way this Kalusha of theirs wants to run FAZ like a personal Kantemba in Mansa or Lubumbashi selling “kolwe dingi”. As for Kambwili, he must know that his time will be up soon because he is literally failing in every ministry Zondwe has appointed him to. This is Zambia, not Kolwestan, sooner than later you will all be called to account for all this stinking monkey business you are staging on the national scene.

  5. Wow! Kamanga must have touched a nerve from the look of things. The man explicitly stated that he will not run for office and gave his reasons in a mature manner, I feel. Ba FAZ, let the issue go or we might just start questioning the validity of the points he raised.

  6. This mwanza is still excited from the 1billion kwacha gift from MTN which they have managed to swiftly share amongst themselves. No wonder this noise of threats. have you ever seen a man with money walk past you at arcades? bulky swinging arms like there is no tomorow

  7. Oh no not again! My opinion stands as follows ; a) A. Kamanga’s decision is a blessing in disguise Kabwe Warriors need his
leadership more than his services may be needed at FAZ. b) Let those who have comments or opinions on what Hon Kambwili said
do so . THAT’s democarcy. Provided I hope even on aspects that people agree with e.g. we don’t want any more anarchy in
FAZ affairs which only hits players hardest (no games, no allowances) while Kamanga , Mwanza and great Kalu are having three meals.
c)Media, help us let us hear more of what those contesting want/will do once elected.God bless FAZ AGM delegates to vote wisely.

  8. Namukulafye imitwe Ba FAZ nemwe….Nangu nishimama nifi..let yo frnds also chew wat u ‘ve chewed. havent u chewed enough..

  9. Viva Great Kalu, Viva Faz and all the best to the Faz Exco, we shall vote for you to continue with what you have started untill we qualify to the world cup. Dont get worried by those who are not even delegates. Eyes on the ball……..

  10. Kalu is the First FAZ President to win AFCON. Just  who else? I think the guy right now is the best man to ran soccer affairs in the country. Lets see how Kamanga is doing at Kabwe. Wafilwa pa club now you want to FAZ. Prove even at club level please then we can accept ypu at national level.

  11. I dont see anything wrong with Kamanga’s sentiments over Kambwili and Kalu, I need a special interpreter to understand Eric. That boy should first comb his hair before yamping. as for you Kambwili, bigman you are a bigfailure to say the least hence Sata keeps moving you all over let alone re aligning ministry

  12. Most Zambian opinions about any subject can be seen from a point of view of those who believe in being “the nice and polite” Zambian people and those who believe the truth must be said wether politely or otherwise. There are rare circumstances where people will comment on the truthfulness of the statement rather the emotions of the statement made. Hence the long winding statements like mine which never adress the real issues. Most Zambians have eyes off any subject. We love the smoke and not the fire. VERY UNFORTUNATE

  13. Stand against him if you don’t beat him thru the ballot. Stop making noise or pulling in the opposite direction. No two drivers for one vehicle = conflicate of interest can occur hence killing the game. In fighting :(

  14. We live in a new world where dictators have no place. Let Kamanga express his opinion on anyone. This Kambwili guy is a problem if FAZ president has to be challenged to make things even better so be it. Winning the Africa cup is now story of the past. We now need to look to the future. FAZ was riddled with problems and things need to improve, let’s not brush things under the carpet just because Zambia won the Africa cup.

  15. KALUSHA COME MARCH 31 ANOTHER 4 YEARS FOR YOU.THE REST YOU ARE JUST NOISE MAKERS YOUR FRIEND WILL HAVE A BASIS OF HIS CAMPAIGN.LUAPULA ALL THE VOTES ARE FOR GREAT KALU,DONT BE CHEATED BY A FEW NON EMPLOYED FAILURES COME BRING THE MONEY WE CHEW THEN DONT KUBEBA WE VOTE FOR THE MAN WITH TANGEABLE RESULTS.MWANA USHUMFWA AILE NAMAFI KUBUKO.

  16. These relatives of FAZ failures such as Kamanga should realise the game is played on the pitch not on the Lusaka times blog. Stop supporting your relative cowardly as u hide behind a pseudonym in fear of Great Kalu. Kalu has shown us he plays and proves his game on the pitch You surely have no hope that you will ever unseat the Kamuchanga boy

  17. Can’t these guys from FAZ ever work without threatening every person who talk against them? It is a world of democracy. It is like if someone talk against Kalu and FAZ is an enemy. Grow up Eric Mwanza and company

  18. Eric grow up man u dont have to support useless things,Kalu is not your God.Respect other pipo’s views dictatorial tendencies should end now.

  19. We should not run away from the reality,in the past we had problems with Kalu, illegal transfers of players whereby we know he used to benefit to the fullest.Let us not think that because he has brought the cup with his team then problems will not be there, these problems will be there in future. It is now that we have to do away with such characters and bring in new blood in football fraternity.Eric will go for sure because we wont allow bootlickers.
