Power Dynamos this evening fired their head coach Fordson Kabole after the teams disastrous exit from the Caf Champions League.
Power confirmed in a statement today that they had parted way with Kabole buy mutual consent.
Kabole’s dismissal comes just three days after Power were humiliated 6-0 by TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi to see them suffer their worst defeat in Caf club competition.
“The Management of Power Dynamos FC (PDFC) wishes to advise that the engangement of the Head Coach Mr. Fordson Kabole has been brought to an end by mutual consent and with immediate effect. In the interim PDFC management has appointed Mr.Beston Chambeshi as caretaker head coach until further notice. PDFC sincerely thanks Mr. Kabole for his invaluable services to the club. We take special note of the pivotal role he played in steering PDFC to a memorable double in the 2011 season which saw us winning the FAZ/MTN Super Division League title as well as the Barclays Cup,” the statement read.

So goats : proper running form, getting MWOD in, Muscle ups, timing for DUs, HSPU, and snatches (probably form on all Oly lifts) and resting on thursdays.:)

As per custom, the coach gets the boot even if he was not the one kicking the ball. Sorry Mr Kabole, but 6 – 0 for a club like Power Dynamos was more than too much. Goodluck and I hope you will find a more forgiving team.

We have been embarsed in the histrory of soccer.I saw that club being created by the late Arthur Davies when there was only an old airport there and a whole lot of bush. By the way, when I saw ama Be, I needed to be reminded because the Beston Chambeshi I knew with the likes of Isaac Phiri, Golden Kazika, Kapambwe Mulenga, Ben Pabili, Mordon and Kenneth Malitoli, Amos Bwalya even “twente” Reuben Sakala/Kamanga, was a different one. I saw someone who looked like a boxer punched so many times than the man who who was brown, had a gottie and played ku chilata,Nkana Stadium. I pray he doesn’t change to a level I can not recognise him anymore.Â

I don’t think that this is a good idea that paypal holds the funds until the cmseoutr receives the item, for the simple fact the cmseoutr could say that they have not gotten the item and in fact they received the item. I think that they should just leave things the way that they are.
I think its unfair on the part of the coach. what were is targets? losing 6-0 can happen to any team which is coached by any good coach. The problem in Zambian football is that, we dont give our coaches targets to meet. Here is a coach that led the team to win the league and Barclays cup, but because he is beaten by TP Mazembe ( which is a very good team by the way) gets the boot.PEOPLE DON’T APPRECIATE ONES ACHIEVEMENTS SOMETIMES and in this case PDFC has it all wrong

Worst defeat by a Zambian club in international tournament. Power Dynamos are the only team to have won an African Cup in the modern era (Nelson Mandela Cup). The second worst defeat was when Simba FC of Tanzania beat Mighty 5 – 0 at Independence Stadium. This was after Mighty had won in Tanzania 4 – 0. As a result Mighty crushed out on 5 – 4 aggregate
The coaching bench should be treated az an intitution which should not be kicked left right and centre, just becauze of one rezult, however bad. Wenger, Ferguson and the like are institutionz, else they would have been fired some time back. Managements should learn never act out of emotion. Kabole can go back and join Bruce at Brave Rangers, all the best “Quicksilver”.

At club level we are not yet there,we need to invest into our local teams just like we did in the ZCCM era,only then should we claim superiority.Players from Zimbabwe, Congo DR ,Tanzania,Malawi,Angola to mention but a few used to ply their trade Zambia because there was T bone and steak.Talent is in abundance locally lets tap it and invest.Kabole is just been used as a sacrificial lamb,TP Mazembe gets more $3000 as winning bonus and the team is full of potential foreign based players who can realy stop them.Lets be very realistic in our dealings.

I am an ardent fan of Power since the 90’s….let us face it….TP Mazembe has half the entire Zambia team that lifted the 2012 AFCON and so did Spain win the World Cup 2010 with almost 9 players from FC Barca. Question : did Man U fire Sir Fergie after being embarassed, not once but twice in successive UEFA seasons? BE REAL
It is Kalu’s personnal efforts that made us lift the AFCON 2012 tropy. We Zambians are good for nothing especially the so called educated.
