  1. Very touching pictures. Very magnanimous of the government to accord a 3 day state funeral for George Kunda, SC.

  2. Thank you Mr President it shows that you have a good heart for according GK a state funeral. Indeed its such a loss of such a briliant lawyer and politician.

  3. Why is it that, like no other country in the world Zambia in the last 4 years has lost 2 presidents and now 1 vice president. My condolences to the Kunda family especially his wife and children

  4. #4@ Portia, people die everyday…unfortunately for Zambia, the number of high ranking politicians dying is just as high as regular citizens dying. There’s nothing coincidental about that. It’s just a sad reality in our Zambia.
And that my friend is LIFE!

  5. This is were i appreciate Islam, what a waste of resources.Bury the guy and move on you hypocrites. Most of you wanted him dead anyway.

    • No wonder Islam is a violent religion! Because you take no time to reflect on how permanent death is. So how can you even think twice to strap on bombs and blow yourselves up in the hope of killing a few “infidels”? Oh, I forgot, you guys long for your 72 virgins in haven so death here on mother earth means nothing to you. And what do you do with all those women, 72 of them????

    • let them go to north africa, asia and worship allah who died and never rose from the dead.Aschristians we look up to god and his son christ who brouhgt salvation to man kind,George rest in peace abash islam

  6. Good reminder that it is appointed for man to die and after that face judgement. Let us reconcile ourselves to our maker before that day. Even if its with your last breath here on earth. Its better than spending eternity in fire.

  7. #7 but why are Zambians dying off so young? Is it lack of exercise or maybe there something in the Nshima… or what? Please I’m really concerned…..

  8. People die everyday, i’m going to die as well one day I’m not going to live forever but it’s what you do on mother earth that matters.

Future politicians please take note: George there one of the best lawyer in the land, he had an opportunity to leave us a lasting legacy by leaving us a Constitution for the people by the people but he hoodwinked us and left us a worthless shitty brochure desirable for white collar plunders.

Does a corrupt person suddenly become an angel when he passes? When are we as a people going to wake up from this coma and smell the coffee?

  9. Mugabe 88 yrs minus 56 year of Kunda = 32 yrs short. Ooooooh lord, George Kunda died too young. He could could have been President of Zambia more than 3 times.

  10. Maxwell…its better to research some things before commenting. If it wasn’t for PF we would have had a new constitution by now! Sometimes its history that redeems a person and one day history will redeem George Kunda.Who knew KK would be deemed a hero after people in the late 80s just got sick of him and I’m sure if the internet was advanced then people would have had the liberty to call him names in public. Now he even has an airport named after him!

    • Lynn, are you suggesting “Herd Mentality???” Thanx at least we’ve had PF to prevent that!!!
And by the way, IT’s NOT HISTORY THAT REDEEMS A PERSON, it is HOW HISTORY GETS TOLD THAT MIGHT LEAD TO THAT REDEMPTION!!!

  11. Ba Lt why not include for yesterdays with the wife and her royal highness senior chieftaines nkomeshya mukamambo the 2

  12. What is life?
When you die your wife will get married and call that man husband, and your children will call him dad!
So,you might as well just join the damn game
    Thanks

  13. Rest in Peace Mr Vice President SC. You may not have been perfect as a human being, but we will miss you as a nation however differences. May your family find comfort in Jehovah God for we mourn and are with them in prayer. And thank you Mr President for showing true statesmanship.

  15. Giving someone a state funeral does not mean he has a good heart! This is politics and you have to make decisions so people like you. RIP to the deceased

  16. NO. 19 SO YOU WANT YOUR WIFE NOT TO MOVE ON, AFTER YOU ARE GONE, BUT TO REMAIN IN PERPETUAL MOURNING. THAT IS LIFE MY FRIEND, WE ENJOY GUD AND BAD TIMES. DON’T BE AFRAID OF BAD TIMES. God bless you

    • How much do you contribute to these by elections, Death is natural and can not be avoided you fool, justpray for your salvation

  17. Let us have the party together….everyone should have a chair to the round table, whether poor or rich….we are born ad short time we all die …why be self-centered or robber the nation? Let us Zambia , better than we find it after we are gone.

  18. Unless we enforce the provisdion of our own constitution that stipulates that all people vying for the presidency and all other elective office are examined and proven to be on sound health, we will forever the experience death at the highest level and these are not cheap occurences. You would in this regard agree with me that Levy, Kunda and Sata under strict adherence to the said provision would not have been allowed to enter parliament, on health grounds. I know people will critisize this but it is the hard truth and reality we have to contend with, not duck and dive!

  19. It is really sad to think about death, it is so abiguous. But the nature of death is to bring people together and also to make us realise that one day it will be Me. Its a cue to others in government to do good and leave a sound bequest.

  20. LETS MOURN KING GEORGE WITH DIGNITY AND STOP POINTING FINGERS. DEATH HAS NO DISCRIMNATION RICH, POOR, YOUNG OR OLD IT STRIKES AT ANY TIME.MHSRIP

  21. I wonder why some people bother to go for ‘body viewing’, when they don’t even bother to ‘view’ the body! Doesn’t make sense…
