Weekend Scorecard: Kabwe Warriors Stay Supreme In Div 1 South

Kabwe Warriors fine start to their Division 1 season has continued and remain top the table for a second successive week on maximum points.

Warriors beat Kafue Celtic in a second half blitz at Railway Grounds in Kabwe over the weekend to maintain a two-point gap at the top of Division 1 South.

Veteran striker Musonda Mweuke scored a brace in a nine minute spell after the hour mark to set Warriors on their way to victory.

Mweuke was on target in the 65th and 74th minutes before ex-City of Lusaka striker Derrick Mulenga added a third two minutes later.

Richard Kasonde wrapped up Warriors rout of Celtic in the 88th minute.

Warriors have 12 points from four games played while 2011 Division 1 South early pacesetters
Luena Buffaloes are second on 10 points.

Warriors this weekend make the long journey to face struggling Livingstone Pirates in the tourist capital in a Week 6 game.

In Division One North, Mufulira Wanderers, Bresmer United and Kalewa are all tied at the top of the table with 8 points.
