Weekend Scorecard: Division 1 Round-up

Mufulira Wanderers over the weekend ended their four-match winless run in Division 1 North.

Wanderers have struggled to muster a win in their last four games dating back to April 8 collecting just two along the way.

Mighty returned to winning ways on Sunday after beating struggling Zesco Luapula 4-0 away in Mansa.

Emmanuel Mwansa scored a brace while his name sake Emmanuel Sakala and Fulani Muwowo scored one goal each.

Wanderers move one spot up the table from 6th to 5th on 11 points, three behind leaders Kalewa after eight games played.

Meanwhile in Division 1 South, Kabwe Warriors continued to dominate after a slender 1-0 away win at Young Stars in Chipata.

Siloni Jere scored the games’ lone goal in the 38th minute to see Warriors maintain a three point lead on 18 points at the summit of the table.
