Nkana striker Evans Kangwa is in a serious fitness race before Wednesday’s friendly between Zambia and Angola.
Kangwa who has only played three games for Nkana this season picked up a knock and was substituted late in the second half as his side draw 1-1 against Red Arrows in Sunday’s league match.
Faz Communications Officer Erick Mwanza said Kangwa is set for a late fitness test before Zambia departs for Angola on Tuesday.
“We are aware of unconfirmed reports suggesting that Kangwa is injured but national team doctors will asses him before the team leaves,” Mwanza said.
The young star is among several local players Chipolopolo coach Herve Renard has called for the friendly against Angola.
