Zambia’s fuel enough

Share

Zambia has sufficient stock of petrol because both TAZAMA and INDENI are operating normally.

Energy Permanent Secretary, George Zulu says the country has now attained sufficient stocks of petrol and there should not be any shortages of the commodity.

Mr Zulu says Indeni has one million litres of petrol which is normal supply for the country.

He told znbc news from Chipata that if there are filling stations running short of petrol its because the oil marketing firms have not picked petrol from Indeni.

Puma filling station in Woodlands Lusaka this morning run out of petrol.

Officials at the filling station told znbc that the commodity run out last night at about 20:00 hours.

But the official who only disclosed his first name as Eugene said the station is expecting next stock later today but he could not state what time.

The country has been experiencing an erratic supply of petrol for the last two days.

This was due to a delayed shipment of crude oil tanker which was due to docked late in Tanzania.
