Zambia’s missing luggage popped up safely at the teams Ndola camp in the midst of Herve Renard’s attack on the sports ministry.
The team failed to train all of Monday morning after their kit went missing in transit in Nairobi from Khartoum en route back to Ndola on Sunday.
Zambia’s kit finally arrived after lunch on Monday but the team had by then lost a full-days training.
Herve Renard’s side then held a late afternoon practice at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola where they will host Ghana on June 9 in both sides second 2014 World Cup Group D qualifier.
Meanwhile the case of the missing bags came just 24 hours after Renard attacked the sports ministry for failing to look into the teams’ welfare.
This is after plans to charter a plane to Sudan and back fell and Zambia took a 10 hour hop from Johannesburg to Sudan last Thursday on a scheduled airline.
“It is not an excuse because I complain a lot about this before the game,” Renard said on Sunday at Ndola Airport after arriving from Sudan where the team had lost 2-0 in their opening Group D qualifier on June 2.
“So the responsibility of the loss is my responsibility because am not a strong man in this country to get what I want.”

Kenya airways has that bad habit of late arrival of laggage,have been a casualty before twice.
What a tragedy to those who bought tickets for Zambia vs Ghana, going for a match where players and coach are in opposition to the PF government.
Somebody should arrange a reconciliation meeting tomorrow, before Renard resigns on Wednesday.
Who said the bags were missing??? It was planned like this that luggage would follow later according to what i read in the papers.Still FAZ should have done a better job & remember it’s not PF which organises flights for the national team but FAZ.
I think the team needs to go back and focus….they prayed hard and made promises to God they shouldn’t take such vows lightly.
The ‘Champions’ hangover has struck! In our case it has struck early. It happened to Egypt after their 2010 win, but they had two years to enjoy it and get the hangover done with. We only have one year and half of it is almost gone.Winning in Gabon papered over the usual cracks that bedevil the administration of our national team. Ghana are itching for revenge after that semi-final loss. Let Renard do his job, but I fear for the worst because as usual the officials are not doing their job. What is the problem? It keeps happening over and over. After reaching the final in 1974 the first time we got to the finals, with a strong team and good coach (Buselic), we failed to get to the finals 2 years later and Buselic left. Let’s not repeat history.
Why is it so difficult to arrange or organise simple things or events in Zambia? Even the quality of placards such as the one reading ” Doing it for our 1993 Plane crash heroes” was so bad. International travel arrangements are another mess – allowing for Kalusha and his wife to cash in on the pretext of “assisting” or “consulting”
Why or Why is Gov’t involved in this farce…where is FAZ in all this? Who employs the National team kit man? its their duty to make sure that the manager only worries about strategy, tactics and training of his team and nothing else… that burden of luggage and logistics should rest on their shoulders.
