Zesco United coach Wedson Nyirenda has expressed satisfaction with his side’s performance in the first half of the 2012 Faz Super Division season.
Zesco has gone into the mid-season break sitting second on the log with 32 points and are a point behind leaders Zanaco.
Nyirenda told Radio Icengelo in Kitwe, that Zesco has performed well so far in the season.
“I think the team has performed very well. We have done so well despite all the circumstances we have gone through. I think the team is doing fine,” he said.
Nyirenda also hailed his players’ character.
“My players are very strong; they have a strong heart, strong character,” he added.
Nyirenda predicted that the former league champions well perform well in the second round.
He reiterated his earlier pronouncement that Zesco will win the league title.
“Winning the league is no longer a dream. It is reality that we are winning the league. The league is coming to Ndola,” he said.
The league resumes on 14 July.
