Lime Hotspurs on Sunday opened up a seven-point lead at the top of the Faz Division North league after beating Nkwiza 2-1 in Ndola.
Ex-Chipolopolo defender Clive Hachilensa gave Lime an early lead with a 1st minute goal which is reported to have been scored just after 23 seconds.
Lameck Kafwaya added the second after 55 minutes while Chris Chola scored a late consolation for Nkwiza.
Lime captained by Hachilensa have now moved to 41 points after week 19 matches played on Sunday while second placed Kalewa who have 34 points maintained their position after 0-0 draw at Mining Rangers.
At Mufulira’s Kachofa Stadium, police used tear-gas canisters to disperse violent home fans as Mufulira Blackpool were beaten 2-1 by visiting Bresmar United.
