All three goals came in the second half for Mazembe who lined up their Zambian contingent that included a rare start of defender Hichami Himoonde.

However, it was Tresor Mputu who stole the show with a brace in the 63rd and in stoppage time.

Tanzanian midfielder Thomas Ulimwengu scored in-between in the 76th before turning provider for Mputu’s second.

Zanaco are back home after their all-expenses paid for trip and face Napsa Stars away on Wednesday in their rescheduled Faz Super Division Week 17 game.

  1. TP was poor against a nigerian side during the champions league but they beat Zambia lleague leaders by a big margin. Is our league that bad?

  2. The Zambian league is really poor. Great Kalu please do something about it. Zambia are supposed to be the Kings of Soccer in Southern Africa!

  3. I fear for our local league, the so-called Super league may just be equivalent to some amateur league in other countries that spend as much (or as little) on their soccer as we do…

  4. our league is better than congolese that is why katumbi buys our players and when TP needs real test, they invite Zambian clubs to train them not Congolese, South African or Angolan. So you who do not have facts and do not watch local game, shut up!You know nothing.
