Auditors have been engaged to track unpaid funds that were accessed by young people in the previous regime.

Sports, youth and child development Minister Chishimba Kambwili says auditors will ensure that all funds are paid back.

He charged that the disbursement of youth funds was selective and mainly benefited MMD cadres.

Mr.Kambwili has since urged young people to come up with viable projects saying the PF government has relaxed conditions for accessing the funds.

He says government will disburse the money to genuine youth entrepreneurs regardless of party affiliation.

The MMD had embarked on youth empowerment as an integral tool for fighting poverty and unemployment in the country.

The youth empowerment fund was moved from the ministry of Sports, Youth and Child Development to the Citizens’ Economic Empowerment Commission -CEEC- to avoid politicising it.

  1. Y dont start by ‘tracking’ the unpaid K14Billion from DBZ. Or is it a different story when your friends borrow money and don’t pay back?

  2. pathetic witch hunt. collect loans from mmd caders and give them to PF caders? what the f.. is this a..s talking about?

  3. This is the way it should be. Those who borrow from any lending institutions must be made to pay back so that others can also access the funds. My only concern is that we are exerting our energy persecuting those who borrowed very small amounts. Can we be told on whether the K18 billion will also be collected with the same vigour? Are there auditors persuing Nchito and Mmembe? Please clarify. If you fail to clarify, then it is worthless to ask the small scale borrowers to pay back. First we must begin with the larger amounts and then trickle down to the smaller ones. Thats the way it should work.

  4. Mr Taima got K2.0 billion from CEEC using fake collateral worth K 20.0 million those are the chaps who should be arrrested not given ministerial jobs

  10. Great ideas of blogging for effective traffic. Point 9 particularly caught my eye with reference to Julien Smith. I certainly agree it??s best to call it as we see it and treat our audience as friends. But most importantly we should put our personality into our writing.
