Ex-international striker Rotson Kilambe says he has moved to North Western Province to coach Faz Division Two side Lumwana Radians with the aim of inspiring younsters in the region.
Kilambe recently quit Faz Division Two North side Geokas Curve to join Radians as club head coach.
The former Power Dynamos and Zanaco forward said he is determined to play a role in the nurturing of players in the region.
“I realised that this is where I come from, this is my home so I have come to share my knowledge and experience in football with the players in this province. I know many players have left this area for the Copperbelt or Lusaka,” Kilambe said via telephone from Solwezi.
“I am trying to encourage players here to work hard so that this province can produce people to play for the national team and abroad like I did. The players are not bad they have potential to improve,” he added.
Kilambe added that while at Radians his immediate target is to help the team win promotion to Division One.
” I want to take the team to Division, that is my aim. But it won’t be easy we have to work hard.”
That is a good step you have taken to contribute to North-Western Province .I know you are going to make it.
This what Chris Katongo need to think about future, like the Kilambes, not dreaming to be a FAZ president or National Team coach….
I hope Kennedy Mweene will be captain when Zambia vs Uganda, if Chris will be captain, we risky another riot by visiting team, remember what happened to Ghana?? Who caused that?
Balipwafwe, why set yourlself such low tagerts. Twamidauta IQ ba Nostradamus. On Chris tell us the last game Zambia won without him playing.
Thanks Kizo man, we are behind you man. I will be giving you calls whenever i am that side so that we drink together as usual. Nauleka ukulela abana nomba…cheers my friend and congrats.
In the olden days, there was never a national team without a player from northwestern province. There is a lot of talent there.Just try and mention any old team, you will end mentioning such names as Obby Kapita,Makinka,Kajhiya,Simwala,ETC.In the team that perished off the Gabon I can still remember some two names:Watiyakeni,Makinka. In the reconstituted team, the two malitoli s were there. In today’s team,I dont no of any.Suprisingly,There are Tongas( Tongas dont insult,I am you tribal cousin).Kilambe, you have done well.
And the Tongas brought the cup home!
but dont teach them to start taking drugs like u did when you where burned
WHAT CAN RATSON KILAMBE OFFER TO FOOTBALLERS IN NORTH WESTERN TODAY. THE CHAP IS FINISHED TRYING TO REVIVE HIS LOST FORTUNES. @ Kalu, I thought Mayuka was from North-Western province?
Mayuka is from both Eastern and western provinces; The father Mr mayuka married a very beatifull Nsenga woman (Mwaziona Banda) from Nyalingu village in petaulke, they met at the University of zambia, where Mr mayuka was a sweeper/cleaner in ladies hostels while the mother was a cleaner in the same block too.Though mayuka cant speak nsenga but very fluent in Lozi he visits grandpas from petauke also he has an FRA depot for maize buying. His stature of being short, very dark like charcoal, fat lips, and illiterate are the genes from his lozi father.
