Chipolopolo striker Emmanuel Mayuka is a doubt for his English side’s away Premier League match to Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.
Mayuka sustained hurt his ankle in the last league match when Southampton beat Aston Villa 4-1 at home.
The striker was introduced in the 76th minute.
Earlier this week, Southampton assistant manager Andy Crosby who revealed that Mayuka was injured indicated that the player is expected to be back within a few days.
“Emmanuel Mayuka has hurt his ankle a little bit,” Crosby told the club website.
Subsquently the player missed Tuesday’s League Cup tie in which Southampton beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 to reach the last 16.
Mayuka has been named in the 24-member Chipolopolo squad for the crucial 13 October, final round Africa Cup qualifier against Uganda away in Kampala.
Zambia are carrying a 1-nil advantage from the first leg played on 8 September in Ndola.
HR AND FAZ LEAVE OUT MAYUKA IN YOUR PLANS. LOOK AT OTHER PLAYERS PLEASE

Clifford is not a solution, that chap is a sub even in S.A.Why do people easily get excited with cheap form.
wishing mayuka a quick recovery but include clifford mulenga in de final call ups!
We ve got Kola, Singuluma and Clifford Mulenga. Now that Jacob is out and Mayuka is carrying a knock why cant we utilise these 3 guys
Jacob Mulenga is fit and scored yesterday in his team’s loss in Netherlands. Call him please against Uganda. Mayuka yesterday played as a substitute against Everton and will fully fit by the time we play Uganda. What about Roger Kola of Racing Gent Belgium and Fwayo Tembo of Romania side? We need all the manpower to beat Uganda at the useless stadium called Namboole.
