Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi says the Black Stars will not be distracted by the boardroom points awarded to Zambia in the 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign.
The Chipolopolo have jumped to the summit of group D after they won their protest against Sudan for fielding an ineligible player during their world cup qualifier in Khartoum in June this year.
The disciplinary committee of the world governing body ruled that Saif Ali, was not qualified to feature for the Nile Crocodile after receiving accumulated yellow cards in previous competitive matches.
But the country’s football chief insists the Black Stars will remain focus for the challenge ahead.
“We will not want to be distracted by this decision. We will not want to be influenced negatively by this decision,” Nyantakyi told a Ghanaian local station Peace FM.
“We want to remain as focus as ever and try to win all the games ahead of us. We win all our matches and then we are on top of our group with good score line.
He added: “That notwithstanding we’ve discussed and explained to the players that we must just go ahead and win our games. “
“They must all redouble their efforts. They have to tune their minds and build their psyche stronger than before because the obstacles ahead are now going to be more difficult than we previously knew.”
The Black Stars are currently in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, fine-tuning ahead of this weekend’s decisive 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Malawi in Lilongwe.
Baloba elyauma ba Ghana!!!
We are also not distracted by the 3 points, and will therefore also go all out to win ALL our remaining games. And apapene epo yalamikosela ba Ghana
Yeah! Even if we have to win through the boardroom again.
Haha. Boardroom points! Love it. Indeed you may not be distracted by it but it is fun reading Ghanaian blogs. Someone could make money selling Zambia shirts to Ghanaians right now :)
Pain is Love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pain is Love indeed..:)>-
Please note that even if Zambia wins its group it does not mean that Zambia has qualified to the World Cup. The top team in each of the 10 groups will fight for the five places reserved for Africa. There is, therefore, still some way to go.
We know that.
And it gets even sweeter when you must qualify on a home and away basis with just one team! The most tricky part iz coming out tops in theze 10 groups.
@ # 2, LOL, ala wansekesha. it’s true we are also not distracted and therefore we will also go ahead and win all the remaining games. ala yamikosela ba Ghana bane
The Ghana team is distructed. No wonder they are talking about it. they plan to win all the remaining games. we intend to also win all the remaining Games. stalemate.

Ghana, you are distracted already, that is why you are talking about it. As some bloggers are saying, as Zambians, it is the opposite, we are distracted by your loss at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Ghana game must just be a formality if we top the group tuka tume abaiche baka tembeko dede auw
Ghana players unhappy over ‘unfair’ FIFA boardroom points to Zambia; says the watchdog…
Ghana had a chance to make Africa proud at the World Cup and they did to some extent but allowed Suarez and their own boy Ansamoah Gyan to spoil our party.
It is only fair that we go there for the first time and show them how it is done, we will be grouped with Azberjan, Honduras, China and Russia and come out top, then beat England in the next round before meeting Italy and sort them out.
Someone else will beat Spain and Germany for us and we meet Greece in the quarter final. At semi final stage, Brazil will be eliminated and we meet the Dutch in the final, who remembers their vodoo in finals?? Zambia will bring the World Cup home for Ghana to be proud as an African country!end of quote…lol
U have made my day. And when President Sata lifts the World Cup trophy in Rio De Jenario, the entire oppozition in Zambia will declare him Life Prezident while the Afrcan Union will make him Prezident of the new United States of Africa.
mwaunda bane! no world cup for Ghana. this is the beginning of the end of your football.
Ghana is bitter. They lost at CAN and promised their people that they will win Zambia at home but alas they lost.
Our bags are ready for AFCON 2013 and Brazil 2014….we just need a drawn in accra…!!
