Zambia have arrived in Kampala ahead of Saturday 2013 Africa Cup qualifying decider against Uganda.
Herve Renard and his team arrived at 20:10 Ugandan time (19:10 Zambian time) aboard a chartered flight from Johannesburg.
The four-hour flight from Johannesburg to Entebbe made a stop at KK International Airport in Lusaka on Thursday afternoon as the teams transited to Kampala.
Sports minister Chishimba Kambwili, FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya and officials from Konkola Copper Mines whose company facilitated the teams’ charter to and from Uganda all boarded the flight in Lusaka.
Meanwhile, the 24-man Zambia team included Under-20 midfielder Mukuka Mulenga and Shadreck Malabo of Power Dynamos and Red arrows respectively.
Zambia needs a draw on Saturday against Uganda, who are unbeaten at home since 2004, to qualify for the Africa Cup that will run from January 19 to February 10 in South Africa.
Renard’s side beat Uganda 1-0 in the third round, first leg match on September 8 in Ndola.
But you guys, instead of camping in the same weather conditions as Uganda, you went and camped in southafrica with a totally different weather from Uganda. You never learn lessons ka!!! You lost to Sudan coz it was so hot such that our players failed to perform. Do you really have doctors to advice??? I am really pissed off. Win there , thats the news we want to hear kwanama.
Truth hates, the temperatures this time of the year in Uganda are the same as SA as it is raining in Uganda recording temperatures as low as 8 degrees.Â
1.1. Â If it so , then its fine. But they should now start camping in real weather conditions than these artificial weather they always like.
@Abena Truth hates, the secrete to camping in Johannesburg is the Altitude. Thats why we did well in Equatoria Gunea and Gabon. Many people mistake that the players want a good life. Remeber in the past Nigeria and other West African teams used to train and in Europe because of a large contigent being in Europe and it was easy for them to come together? But have you realised that they won nothing save for 94? other than that Egypt dominated? Study the effects of Altitude on Sports performance.
I am just from Kampala and the weather conditions are favourable. It is certainly not going to be anything as hot as Khartoum.
Its not about the weather naimwe ba “True Hates”, kutumpa uku.
The problem is Herve letting Chris & Felix Katongo play ahead of sensational Mukuka Mulenga & Malambo. If Zambia had people who interesting, since Kalaba is injured, coach should have not used Chris, but put 2 exciting midfielders to cover ground as Kalaba does. Unfortunately we swatch the Katongos and Nyirenda.
What a nation? 20 yrs of MMD rule has ruined our nation with no national airline when small nations like Malawi still have their own airlines. may PF move quickly to bring back ZA and end this chartering of planes business.

And you know for sure that The Great Buffoon Mwamba can supply the planes.
renard and kalu;s hour of reckoning has finally come. do not let us down as we are africa’s champions remember, and as such, all eyes are on us. make sure you win this game outrightly as we will not condone any excuses. we need to defend this cup next year in our own hunting ground, SA.
Best wishes Guys!!! I just make a decade of Rosary for you. Go Zambia!! Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Bless us Lord in good and bad times….
Renard!Don’t mess up with the first line up as you did to the previous game against the same guys. They are a good team with better coach than you.Let Chisamba and Jonas be starters to avoid SEMBEEE!
who is a better coach than Herve?
Tulu ba Sate Sate, Herve must start with Chisamba & Jonas not Felix for heaven’s sake twapapata ba Kalu &co.
NDEUMFWAKOFYE INE
Here in kampala things are diffrent …. We dnt lose at home en we don’t have presure bt all I can say is Zambians better get a way of punishing yo FAZ coz UGANDA is abt to make history
Kenie, you guys are in for a rude shock! This Team re-writes History!!!!Cranes will be beaten in their own backyard tomorow !!!watch the space, hope you will stil blog on sunday to congratulate the chipolopolo boys…
Saw the last four games Uganda played and they have won 1 4-0 against Congo (weak opposition), drawn three, 1-1, 2-2, and 3-3 the last game away they have lost. What does it mean? Uganda wont beat Zambia. They might keep their unbeaten record and miss 2013 Africa cup. The other thing. Ugandans play talk football. Zambia plays with their feet
In Zambia when you do well even your own brothers feel bad. Herve Has done well and needs our support. I don’t think all those talking about Herve understand the game more than he does. Football is very difficult today than before its not a gurantee that we should have beaten Sudan with more than threegoals, they are also professional. Let’s give them support. In life even where you don’t do well you still need someone to encourage you.
Good luck chaps. We need any reason to drink before, during and after the match, provided you win. @#9 keni, I see the heat has gotten to your head. You’ll be crying foul like Sudan. We are ZAMBIA, THE REAL AFRICA. Zwaaaaaa mambala iwe!
Sate sate damn rite
we are ready to show Zambians that we do not joke here in NAMBOOLE STADIUM.we have to beat Zambia coz this is our time.they wasted their chances in Ndola now it is our time to shine.UGANDA CRANES OYEEEeeeeeeee…………… AS WE GO TO SOUTH AFRICA COME JANUARY. FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY
Freedom of expression is guaranteed but winning against Zambia is not talk job. Check your record? Your denfence is as weak as you attack. Uganda has one one home game in the last four you have played 3 scored draws and one win. Dont mess with Zambia
So you want to avoid Zambia at Afcon? Angola will demolish Zim in Luanda thats should be your worry.
HAHAHAH MALAWIAN AIRLINE IS GROUNDED LONG TIME AGO MY FRIEND AND ECONOMY WISE ZAMBIA IS FAR BETTER THAN MALAWI KALOKU!
Zambia usually qualifies at the last minute. That has been our history. If the Cranes history has been no loss at home since 2004, then we’ll see which team has a rich and consistent history
Let’s nt talk too much sato is few hrs from now
Namboole Std will make history either way. The Ugandans will fail to qualify or we shall march on to RSA.
Greetings both Uganda and Zambia – King kalu says the ball is round and can roll either, we’ ve done too much talking – its now time for the better team to prove a point – am a soccer analyst and bekieve in calling spade its neme, both teams are in top form, what is key at this point is 1-exprience, 2-prepartion and, 3-tactic – there rest are obvious. So let the better team win and qualify. Otherwise its a 50/50 encounter – both the chipolopolo and cranes are under some pressure!
Zambia, Zambia, The Uganda Cranes are armed to the teeth, your bullets may misfire, am afraid.
So much depends on the starting line up and the ability to make changes when we notice mistakes, like most people have said, I would rest Felix Katyongo and probably even the elder brother, Chris.
I also would really think long and hard on whether to start Mayuka or Chamanga ahead of Sakuwaha and Jacob, if he has travelled!!! But Renhard is our coach and he has delivered before, so we just have to put faith in him!!
Thats true my brother, Zambia has done us proud already – Uganda game is just a bonus – plse am not taking away any credit from the cranes who have tried so far but its just that Zambia is a footbaling nation – aparting from being the reigning champs – we ‘ve beaten Uganda before and we shall do it again. but I admire the courage of the cranes and thier suporters – This is football and not athletics – Hope we can defend the AFCON titel with all the other big boys around. To Herve Renerd and his bench – dont put chisamba lungu in defence, and am sure chansa, mukuka, sinkala, chris and sakuhaha will cover for kalaba. do your thing guys – silence the cranes and break there record – after all records are there to be broken,
wt tym is de game starting?
RSA has been hot for the past three days when the team was there! When training you become hot.

Really amazing, its not a 50/50 if the game ends goalless Zambia wins.even if Uganda win two to one we still qualify.Uganda is indeed under pressure all Zambia needs to do is score an early goal. Herve is not a great coach, but is what  Zambia needs at the moment. His shouting “two minutes” saved us at the AFCON when all other coaches decided to be formal about it
All said, the ball is now in Renard’s court to read the game carefully and without bias. Sentiments have been expressed by different people only that Herve sometimes become stiff necked for change. What has Felix given to Renard to warrant such favours?
@9 Kenie, 13 Staunch Cranes fun and @ 18 Isabirye; we are coming in full force (mass x accel). The momentum is too big for you guys to stop. The best would be you facing Benin not Zambia.
Your history comes to an end tomorrow. We will split your “beaks” into pieces.
We love you but we don’t take shame. Its not in us. @20 Chunga, it should be at 14hrs Zambian time.
This game is very important for our pride as Africa cup of nation champion. We can afford to fail to to qualify. ladies and gentle men the pride is at stake…..i wish the chipolopolo well as they try humiliate the cranes
Zambia, get ready for humiliation!
The mighty cranes have no respect for giants.
Its gonna be a David Vs Goliath clash and u alraedy know da outcome, ask K. Bwalya.
“Mighty”…U??? Wen did u become “mighty”??? Wat hav u Won??????????? Shame, we may not win but we will qualify…
Statisticall speaking its a draw or win for Zambia. Main teams full internationals all players available Ugandas Record past four games home and awa UG DDWDL, ZM WLWW
If it were multiple choice, certainly, Uganda would have not chosen to play Zambia but Zambia would have jumped to pick on Uganda very fast before others could. Yes, we are all Africans. We will enjoy association with you after having terrorised you on the pitch. Go Zambia go……..
@ Considerate you point sums up the debate. Uganda is not a compeptitive team to worry about tommorrow. We have a goal advantage and what we need is a draw. Four gamnes Uganda has played show that they can score and conced at the same time. Four draws one win. if they failed to score in Ndola against the same team that they will play at Nambole, it shows that they will also fail to score, if they score we’ll score since we have scorred against the same team which will be playing. Going into tommorrow, its glass in one hand and cigar the other. The reason to spend the extra cents before monthend!
Where can one watch the game online. Please post some useful links people!!!
Renard should not play the Kantongos and Chamanga. He should also not play Chisamba in defence. If this happens we see a 2:0 if favour of Zambia. I have no idea why renard is so in love with the Katongos.
Who score in Zambia Vs Ghana & Zambia Vs Uganda in Ndola?
He scored because he was in the team. We need to win convincingly not when he scores no one else scores.
Guyz Zambia is Zambia we are going there for a mission believe it we are winning Go Zambia Go chipolopolo iwe ….God be with us owayz.
When is KICK-OFF????
#34 Selima DK, Kick-off always happens when the referee blows the whistle.
will this macth be online? Anyone know?
what has TB got to say about tomorrows match?
Fellow football lovers! Who score in Zambia Vs Ghana & Zambia Vs Uganda in Ndola?
Who score in Zambia Vs Ghana & Zambia Vs Uganda in Ndola? It was …………
Meant to say who scored
And why are you all criticizing Renard now for playing the Katongos? He’s the coach…he has good level knowledge of what he percieves to be the perfect line up. He knows when he’ll most likely sub certain players. So, until you are the chipolopolo coach, I suggest you just watch the match and criticize from your ka sitting room or bar, like the rest. Let Renard fail or not on his on merit not because he wants to please a few zealots. Renard got you the AFCON, period. You’ll never take that away from him. With that said, GO CHIPOLOPOLO….we’re with you boys!
TYHE ONLY MEDICINE FOR ZAMBIA LIES IN THE STARTING LINE-UP, WHICH SHOULD INCLUDE SAKUWAHA, CHISAMBA, CHAMANGA/MAYUKA, SINKALA, NJOVU AND ONE OF THE YOUNG UNDER-20s. NO FELIX KATONGO EXPERIMENTS, THIOS IS TIME TO DELIVER AND NOT EXCITE ANYONE!!
Dont worry pipo, Zambia will Qualify regardless of the result. Look a win, a draw and a scoring loss all favors Zambia. So let the big mouthed Ugandans talk but their talk ends only 2moro. Anyway they have nothing to lose no wonder their excitement but we have everything to lose if we dont qualify. Gud day Soccer lovers!! Best wishes to Zambia Chipolopolo….
ba (Nostradamus) if u cangt andastand futbol dont comment pls!!
#6 if ze coach for cranes is beta than renard, show me wat he has done for any national team he has coached let alone a club, dont just say things wen u know nothin bane
# 10 i salute u mwandi
#23 prove yo argument pls( that renard is not a good coach)
#41 i salute you mwandi
#42 dont u think featurin ze mukuka is experimentin?
Welcome to Uganda, Copper boys but never dare to beard the cranes in its den, albeit it’s too late wait for the humiliation now. The cranes will prove thenceforth you are a former African champ that came about because the others were weak. Mark the 13th will go down into history for the cranes will be a killjoy and stop your dream come true to qualify for S. Africa ha ha ha…..!Â
there are no dens for birds onl;y cages and we will do just that pick the birds all over the field and cage them! :d:((
Your birds may not, the cranes have a den by name the Mandela stadium in Kampala. As I post this, Uganda is on a goal lead to nil, wait for the demolition I anticipate from the cranes. Of course, I will be sorry for the copper boys, the incumbent African champ being taken out of the tournament. Â
Guys with net work, What time da game statin? Zed time. The results will be,Zambia 2, Uganda 0. Go guy goooo!!!!
Already bought my ticket @$ 50 so every one here is more than ready . En ma brothers in zambia I promise u to keep updating u
So yo boyz have refused to talk to the press haahaha bt I asure tomorow arund this time they have gten words to discribe how the pitch never favoured them . Jst a matter of time
Zambia is not winning this game. For the first time let the Zambians know what a bunkum Renart is…he is clueless. We won the Africa cup only because Bonneti prepared the team really well, and what we are seeing in the players now are still the benefits of Bonneti’s work. From now on it is down the hill for Zambia. I fear how Zambia will treat Renart when his true useless image comes out – especially after the over-the-top reaction of giving him Zambian citizenship. ALWAYS Zambians behave like children…may be they are. What is happening is football is exactly what happens in all sectors, including economics. Developing like the tiger Asian economies? —- just forget, as long as you are black and African.
Humble pie wanted to know how it tastes! What did you say about Renard?
