Power Dynamos midfielder Mukuka Mulenga has made Zambia’s final 23-member team for the 2013 Africa Cup in South Africa.

However, there will be no fifth Africa Cup appearance for veteran defender Kampamba Chintu who was dropped together with two home-based players.

    • Felix and chamanga are well past the “sale-by-date”! Even chris is just doing his last tournament· change please……

    • I watched the Zambia – Morocco game yesterday imwee. Felix is fine and he deserves the palce in the team. He did very well against Morocco.

  1. Selection is ok We are back on track Guys come on lets defend our cup its about tym again when duty calls iye chipolopolo iye……….lets go zambia lets go zambia..

  2. On face value, I have no complaints about this final selection. This is the way to go, I hope we come back on track, as was evident during the Morocco game. We are slowly going back on track. Even if we might not make the finals, I’m sure of going past the first hurdle by accumulating six points needed to go through. What happens thereafter is any ones guess.

  3. Good!Thats my team. The Afcon war starts now.Fans must pack Ndola’s L.M Stadium and give the guys a massive send of on saturday when they play Norway.GOD BLESS ZAMBIA.

  4. Let’s go boys! Zambia, Zambia, Zambia!!! Die a little for mother Zambia. If Egypt did it a couple times in a row, why can’t we did it also?

  5. All the best Boys just go out there and do your thing, we’re behind you all the way and God bless…. One Zambia One Nation 🙂 ‘In Chipolopolo we trust’

  6. Chris Katongo boycotted dinner yesterday after seeing Felix’s return ticket to Lusaka. Young Malambo sacrificed his place.
Jacob Mulenga should be the captain.

  7. preparatory matches are never an indication on how zambia will play, when it matters they will shine. God id with us!! and all of Zambia is behind the team. This is one thing that one zambia, one nation: our beloved national football team! Go chipolopolo.

    • Some one told me that he is a good passer just behind the finisher. I had reservations about him as well but after that analysis, I saw the reason why and I agreed.

  8. Most Zambians are sceptics and merely arm chair critics with destructive criticism. They disgusting! We should learn to whole heartedly support our National Soccer Team. The selection of players is 100% perfect and I wish our Team success.

  9. I also agree that the player selection is fine. Going forward in the world cup qualifying games (after afcon 201), we just need to bring back players like Fwayo Tembo, Clifford Mulenga and Roger Kola to enforce our team.

  10. The team looks fine only two pipo who donot deserve to make the final 23. Am talking about Chivuta and Chamangaaaaaa! Too many midfielders and very few defenders, Chintu should have been spared in my opinion.
What can I say? Good luck Chipolopolo, we’re behind U and pliz bring back thoz smiles u put on us last year…. We are truly behind u coz there is no any other Zambia…

  11. Why uyu mwana SALULANI PHIRI was recalled/ bwezewa? The team is full of akawalala abemba , even the few Tonga’s like mweene and Hichane are bembalised, mweene when he speaks english speaks like a zimbabwean , why? please speak like a Tonga the way magande could talk

  12. I also think the selection is ok, although I am not comfortable with Chamanga and Felix, but the coach knows better.

I watched Norway beat Bafana Bafana last night in Cape Town and I am sure our technical bench must have monitored that game. We need to beat Norway in Ndola to give comfort to the soccer fans and all stakeholders and then build on that.

I am not unnecessarily perturbed with the draw against Morocco, anyone who knows North African teams will tell you that they play defensive football and only score few goals, even going to penalties quite often. Our defence and midfield came to the Party and that is positive!!!

I hope team spirit is maintained and phones banned, those with the teams should be under strict orders not to spill any unnecessary beans which may disturb…

  13. Siti kudya ma friendlies pa zambia, tikudya che AFCON thus tiza shaina futi ku southafrica. Lipolopolo all the way. Zambia is a record breaker!

  14. Felix is a waste among the Chipolopolo team and bravo to Mukuka coz he is simply the great talented player. GO CHIPOLOPOLO GO AGIAN

  15. We are with you Team Chipolopolo… I like your new orange (Copper) jersey. It is beffiting Champions. FAZ please release the replica jerseys now!

  16. Malinso, stop your tribal jokes in football. On another note i was hoping Chintu could keep his place and Chamanga dropped.

  17. There are only two central defenders, what happens if one gets injured? None of the midfieders is versatile enough to cover in central defence. The coach should have kept Chintu and dropped one of the midfieders

  18. I see no no sense in including Chamanga – a player who needs 10 chances to convert one is not efficient in any game, at any time in history – what more AFCON?

  19. All the best Zambia. Concentration is needed throught all the matches. That goal from Tanzania was as a result of little concentration even that from Libya at Konkola. I am with you.

  20. Yes lets go Zambia. Iyee iyee Chipolopolo. Guys uko kulepaula amasumbu ka!!!!

Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.

  21. Chintu ws dropped for obvious reasons, old age which even himself admits, and on da issu of versatility I hop u kno dat kasonde cn play& deliver in wateva position u put him,as 4 felix, chamanga, njobvu and chivuta I don’t kno wat hr sees in em

  22. Chamanga and Christopher are not worth being in the tournament. ba kula ba Katongo. anyway let him play for the last time. but Chamanga ball waster.

  23. Ala fye e team iyi ine, and nothing else. Abo ba Salulani Phiri mulelila pano will play mu 2015 because by that time ninshi Chamanga, Katongo (both) have retired including Chivuta, Joseph M. and Chintu K.

Zambia has a young team, but problem is that the players are failing to maintain their fitness levels. If they can keep themselves on a high then Zambia can defend this Afcon and go on to win three more konkaniously……………..

Renard has a secret weapon and watch this space, even the big elephants will fall convincingly this time. Ama penalties takwakabe uno muku. Chisamba Lungu Captain of the future is doing so fine, for Nathan he has gone a bit down.

Anyway lets support our national team, to the glory of mother Zambia. Chipolopolo all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Go Zambia go…

  24. a champions team indeed, though there is need to also sponsor pastor makembo’s zavosofa.i witnessed the morale and high spirit they exibited when uganda clamped our necks in kampala.
