Konkola Mine Police coach Linos Makwaza has described his side’s first victory of the season collected away at Napsa Stars with a 2-0 win on Saturday as a relief.
A brace from Jack Mwanza helped Makwaza to record his first win as Mine Police coach since he joined the FAZ Super Division side in the pre-season.
In an interview with LT Sports, Makwaza hailed the 2-0 win over Peter Kaumba’s Napsa describing it as good.
“It was a good win and it has brought confidence in the team.
“Yes (it’s a relief), in football there is always pressure,” the ex-Nkana and Forest Rangers trainer said.
Makwaza is now looking forward to this Saturday’s home FAZ Super Division Week Four match against Lime Hotspurs.
“The match against Lime will be more tougher because they are yet to win in the new season. We still have a lot of work to do,” he said.
Mine Police kicked off the 2013 campaign with a 2-0 home loss to Kalulushi Modern Stars before losing 1-0 to Green Buffaloes in Lusaka.
