Ex-Power Dynamos defender Nick Peters has died after collapsing while playing a social match for Savers Social Football Club of Kitwe.
Savers vice Chairperson Robinson Kunda confirmed Peters’ death on Sunday morning.
He was pronounced dead upon arrival at Ndola Central Hospital on Saturday afternoon.
Peters was rushed to the hospital after felling to the the ground while unchallenged at Ndola Wanderers Grounds.
“We were together on the pitch when he collapsed on the ground.
“We will miss him. We have lost a brother and a friend,” Kunda mourned.
Peters who was in his forties played for Power between 1980s and 1990s under coach Fred Mwila.

This is so sad am saddened … Nick was a big brother to me and he inspired a lot of young men lived in kitwe specially from the colored quarters , kmb .. Compound called railways twibukishye, miseshi, yobe camp, nkana west , nkana east he was the only one coming from that side of town ..
