Bible Gospel Church in Africa Presiding Bishop Peter Ndhlovu says he has no doubt that the youths that attacked people in his church yesterday were PF cadres.

Bishop Ndhlovu said he is certain that the youths belonged to the PF and that they were acting on instructions from some senior PF officials.

Recounting yesterday’s incident where members of the civil society consortium were beaten up while attending Black Friday prayers, Bishop Ndhlovu said while praying, a group of youths came in and locked the doors and windows and started beating them with sticks and Sjamboks.

He was speaking this morning when he featured on the Cross fire blog internet radio hosted in the UK.
Bishop Ndhlovu said his prayer is that whoever is behind the violence should stop before it is too late.
He said the consortium of civil society members have tried to meet President Michael Sata but that it has not been easy even after writing to his office.

Bishop Ndhlovu said the removal of subsidies on food and fuel should have been gradual.
He said Black Friday protesters asked to have a prayer meeting at his church because one does not need a permit to meet in church.

And one of the organizers of the Black Friday prayers Guess Nyirenda said the PF not to think they will be in power forever.

“They are not the first to govern this nation and they surely will not be the last. Their time is coming when they will account for these actions to the Zambian people,” Mr. Nyirenda said.

He added, “CSO leaders had been denied a permit to gather at an outdoor venue and were advised to instead pick an indoor venue and we opted for this Church.”

Mr Nyirenda said the CSO leaders will not be cowed and vowed to continue with their Friday Prayers adding that the next event will be held at Mtendere Catholic Church on Friday.

  1. Waiting for a time when will have our leaders that will set an example of unity and set a proper foundation of one zambia one nation with love and push for developmental issues than attack and puling each other down for self interest Zambia the time to mature has come let us grow,,,please.

    • @nostradamus

Don’t understand how embarassment relates to striving for Utopia. Nirvana suit you better?

Unjustified criticism of another poster ever.

  2. why are they using your church iwe *******? are you that broke that you end up turning the house of God into some dubiuos dealings i we *****

    • From your insolence it is very evident that you are not a Christian, so it should not both you that they went to pray in the House of God. If you were really a concerned Christian you would not have referred to the name of God in the same rhetoric loaded with insults. What a shame!

    • is*****8an insult iwe stick? prove it. yesterday wali mubuchende namukamwine today you wana pretend to be innocent.muleumfwako insoni bane

    • Stick is right. Just read your post again and see if you are really sincere about your rebuttal. Even a two year old can see that you have used an insult disguised by use of a comma. You seem to be a person that needs to be prayed for so your evil spirit of insolence is bound.

    • You obviously do not know what you are talking about. All the same, I forgive you and will still pray that one day you may see the light and that the fire of your tongue may be quenched, so you debate without resorting to insults.

  3. Are you sure ? The problem is that you fought back. You should have ignored those illiterate cadres of ours and your life would have been easier.Ignoring a person doing crap is the best remedy.Be more discreet next time.

    • And stop taking politics into the house of God for Gods sake.Your cause is good but you are using a wrong platform.

    • Observing your contributions in the last 24 hrs leaves me wondering about how sincere you are to serious matters. How do you expect people under attack to just sit there like lame ducks? Where did you want them to go and pray from if the police denied them a permit to pray in public and instead suggested they find an indoor rendezvous? Where were you, when the church prayed for change of Government in 1990/91 and in 2010/11? Yesterday, people wanted to pray for God’s intervention in getting the Government to see reason in the voice of the people. They were not praying for a change of Government so why attack them?

    • Saulosi, I see alot of progress in your mind. Keep it up. I can’t imagine that you observed that Church & mosques are wrong places to hold political meetings. Subsidy can’t be explained with bible or Quran.

    • Thanks Nostradamus. You were one of the last people i expected to warm up to me.Now i have remained with ndobo to sort out.I hate him for forcing LT to delete my good post last night.

    • @saulosi i
i dont have panga or a mupini to force LT to delete your comment… like i advised you before my child,, when you are blogging among older people dont insult…i know you as a very respectful young boy back in the days in zambia,, i dont know what europe has done to your head,,, maybe i should consider taking you to church in matero for prayers mwe….

    • The moral of LT’s action is that debate has no room for insults. If you just put your views forward without insults there will be no need for people to find your contributions offensive. Not everyone will agree with what you say but the manner in which you say it also matters. That is what debate is about. When one resorts to insults it can only mean one of two things. Either they are hiding their ignorance on the subject matter or they are just bad mannered. Sometimes, your would have been good contributions have been lost in the insults.

    • My post was deleted and it didnt contain insults.I have actually copied and pasted the same comment on the new thread where Sakeni has spoken. You people don`t just like debating on issues you don`t agree with.Saulosi is here to make you talk.So mufana wanga ndobo i will come there ku Sweden and wipe your behind with a stick such that your madam won`t recognize you.

    • If people agreed on everything then there would be no need for debate. Debate is healthy but not when it involves insults. For example, despite the vast wisdom in Jesus Christ’s messages not everyone agreed with him. But rather than resorting to insults he engaged his critics by way of parables, so that through them they could appreciate what he was saying. I believe you too can ably debate without resorting to insults. If someone does not agree with you just learn to respect the other person’s view on an issue and move on. Posterity will say whether you or the other person was right at the time the debate.

    • @tsick…I think you have missed the point.Look back in all my comments if i insulted without being insulted first.I don`t insult but debate issues whether right or wrong, i always stand my ground. But when i`m insulted for expressing a view i do the same because society has taught me that.It is an eye for eye world.Nobody likes being provoked unnecessarily.

    • The fact that another insulted does not mean you should do the same. Anyway, you are old enough to know what is good and what is not. You blame it on society, which society? Since you seem to prefer “an eye for an eye” but what about “giving your enemy the other cheek?” I was like you until I learnt the hard way. An elderly person insulted me and I retorted. Days later the person turned out to be an uncle of mine. You can imagine my agony. My only plea is if you have children you do not pass on your principle to them because it will be unfair to them. Let them grow up to be good citizens, who will debate without insulting. Good luck!

    • @ndobo yes still bitter because my freedom of expression was trampled upon@Stick…its a hard world we live you. Those Jesus principles of turning the other cheek don`t work in the real world.Your turning the other cheek will make you look humble to others but most of their will think you are weak.No wonder i want to beat the sense out of ndobo because of what he did.I will beat him like the way Lusambo was beaten by my warriors.

    • @saulosi
ati beat the sense out of ndobo,,,,hahahaha dont forget you are in europe,, europe is not matero where you roam free with mipini na mapanga,, ramming innocent people in church,,, in europe there is rule of law,,, not rule of PF,,
And I didnot deleted your comment which you are bitter about..LT did.
Just donot die of bitterness,,, PF need you..hahahahahah

    • Please read the books of Kings and Chronicles , every knee shall bow every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord including Politics. Learn from Godly Kings that honored God during their reign and also learn from ungodly Kings who didn’t honor God during their reign and see how they ended.

  4. I am a former supporter of pf.I regret to have supported such a useless leadership.Directionless and selfish party. No fear of God.Be ready guys.God will teach a less.Repent now.

  5. The church should for all kind of people regardless of political party you belong to but I see a church which is taking side here. Which leaves with a lot to wonder????? And how does he knows that those were PF canders but I let the people to ans that, it is a sad moment to see the church taking side instead of it play a unifying factor

    • If you read American history you will see that the church was very much involved and still is, in the founding of the nation and later on gave platform and fought for civil liberties for the minorities.

    • Martin Luther King was a Christian who spoke against injustices and brought about a peaceful revolution.

  6. BaBishop Njobvu is not truthful even to himself.
He is using the the House of God for maters of the world. No wonder that not all who say they are children of God are True Believers! This church( building) has been soiled by the so-called Bishop.
Those cadres are still in pictures and recognisable. So let us wait and hear their identity. If they are opposition sent then It is true that the opposition is writting its own violence to send to Commonwealth.

    • @chinvindinvindi
politics is about people and the church is about people… so anyone is free to go into politics and anyone is free to go to church to pray..

so weather you chinvindinvindi are PF and gay or straght and MMD, UPND, OR NAREP you are free to go to church,, there is NO misuse or abuse of church,,, there is just i.doicy from PF.. thats the point here

    • The Church is not the building. According to the Bible (Col.1:24;Epph.4:11-12) the Church is the Body of Christ. i.e. the collections of Christians. The building is the place of worship, where the Body of Christ meets for sanctification by the Lord. So, where one or two are gathered in the name of the Lord they constitute the church.

    • Read the book of Kings and Chronicles and learn that every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord including politics. Learn about Godly Kings who honored God during their reign and also learn about ungodly kings who did not honor God and see how they ended.

  7. Martin Luther King was a Christian who stood against injustices by using a peaceful revolution.

  8. CATHOLIC PRIESTS AND PF MONEY: After what happened in Matero can Catholics be proud? Can anyone truly believe that the money that GBM gave to the catholic priests in Kasama a few days ago was done in good faith? I am certain many Catholics are very ashamed with seeing their priests being paraded like beggars to receive—ten pieces of Silver; PF money. What do Catholics have to say now about what happened in Matero’s BIGOCA church? It is so shameful that the entire Catholic Church in Zambia can fail to build houses for its priests to live in and have to be forced to receive money from politicians. I sincerely hope that money and those gifts to the Catholic Priests were not meant to bribe them and to keep them silent.

    • @nick Dimms

I disagree with your viewpoint. How can the Catholic Church be quiet just because the church attacked was not catholic. Also the president is catholic which puts them in a position to offer guidance and counseling on national affairs.

As the biggest (and richest) church, they need to stand up against evil regardless of the perpetrator.

Surprised!! is pointing out that their position is compromised because of the large donations they have received from PF – they cannot speak out.

    • @ surprised, dont use the catholic church to fight your devilish battles. just ask tu pente to comment.

  9. Bishop please dont mix church with politics. If you want to talk politics come out in the manner Frank Bwalya has done, so that your friends meet you in the hot political arena. Dont hide in the name of church while your actions show that you are a politician.

Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.

    • Read the books of Kings and Chronicles every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord including politics. Also learn how Godly kings honored God during their reign and also learn how ungodly kings ended.

    • Learn form Martin Luther King who was a Christian that brought about peaceful revolution. Stop intimidating Christians .

  10. BE READY BOKOHARAM IS STEADILY BUILDING UP IN ZAMBIA. WHEN U GO TO PRAY, GO ARMED WITH BAZUKAZ, AK47, REVOLVER LEST THEY ATACK U AND ALL CHRISTIANS ON SUNDAYS AND SATURDAYS MUST DO THIS,NOT ONLY BICOGA.

  11. I think it’s time to let go of “we told you”. It’s widely acknowledged that a mistake was made in electing the current ruling party.

It’s time to regroup and find ways to resolve this. Hand wringing and regret achieves nothing.

  12. Saulosi and Nostradamus you are in countries that boast of freedom
of expression. doesn’t this story make you ashamed of your own country
those carders should be facing civil and criminal charges, this is very
    uncivilized way of doing things

  13. ship out of zambia, no one is forcing you to be here.
As for the clobbered fellows, the church u used is stained with hatred for pf. This is RB,FTJ church. Peter ndhlovu was not interested in uplifting the lives of the poor in that gathering but uplifting his name.

  14. Zambia needs a day of National repentance for choosing a Saul and not listening to what God wanted for Zambia. The good news is there is always a David after a Saul.

    • @17, good news is that, that DAVID is not yet known. My prayers are that God does not give us one of these BOKO HARAM and AL SHABAB commanders in the opposition as president.

  15. GRILLO OF NGOCC, THE OTHER SAID BIGOCA IS A HOLY PLACE .ATAA ,A DEN OF DEMONS. THAT BISHOP IS KNOWN TO HAVE ALWAYS BEING AGAINST PF. THIS IS NOT BASED ON POLICY OR PRINCIPLE BUT ON TRIBALISM ND NEPOTISM EMANATING FRO RB. HATE 4 SATA AT WORK.DEVILS !

  16. zambia is bigger than lusaka. How can a few citizen in lusaka seems to be speaking for millions of zambians. If one guy who is given a bit of money say PF has failed, we must say yes.if one smll guy with access to internet says, PF is bad we must say yes.it took ten solid years for the pf to traverse zambia and convince the zambians (majority of who dont live in lusaka).so these churches that seem to exist only in lusaka and ther similar voices are disgruntled and speaking from without. The era of mmd is gone bane.accept that. The people spoke. When you say the PF has failed, my question is, compared to what? MMD? my foot

  17. There is a form of employment that has been created in lusaka.speaking forvthe govt of the day and speaking for the copposition. These are the so called cardes like bowman lusambo. These unfortunately are assuming the are the king makers in zambian politics.this is a total disregard for the voting zambian and non voting zambian youths who must form an opinion o the performance f the govt or the opposition based on there own observation with time.we dont need black fridays or ngos convening meetings by people livingin kabulonga to speak on what the dont know.
