Opposition Alliance for a Better Zambia (ABZ) has backed plans by the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) to stage a peaceful demonstration against the alleged illegal continued acting of Justice Lombe Chibesakunda as the country’s Chief Justice.
ABZ president Frank Bwalya said even though his party does not share all reasons the MMD has put forth to call for the stepping down of Justice Chibesakunda from being Chief Justice, the ABZ will remain in support with the people calling for her to step down.
Speaking in an interview with Qfm, Father Bwalya observed that a government such as that of the Patriotic Front that is allegedly seeking to destroy all important institutions as the Judiciary to entrench itself, can not push the agenda to the develop the country.
And Father Bwalya has also disclosed that his party which was scheduled to be launched on July 1 this year will instead be unveiled on July 27 this year in Kitwe.
Father Bwalya says his party has already given notice to the Police about its official launch.
Father Bwalya noted that if the Police do not respond to the notice of the launch of the ABZ, his party still go ahead to launch its presence on the country’s political scene.
Father Bwalya has also disclosed there is also an alleged plot by the PF government to disrupt the launch of the ABZ in Kitwe.
The ABZ president has warned that such plots will not work as his party is determined to make its presence on the countrys political arena known through an official launch that will take place on a Saturday.

More chibuku please?
Let Bwalya go on with ABZ. am very sure he will keep PF awake and probably perform much better. As at now no part is giving checks and balances to PF
you are write frabagasted MMD is choked and UPND is struggling with poarchings. what a shame
I think the Chief Justice will step down soon. She has worked too long and hard to have her name tarnished by PF.I’m sure its not in the best interest of the Chibesakunda family to continue having mud slung at their name which for so many years has held honor. But lets see if money and power will win over integrity.
@Mbiji. Its not so much for the Chibesakunda so called dynasty’s sake mate. Its for the purpose of law. She’s “hanging in there” illegally and the awful tragedy is that she knows that! Surely she shouldn’t remain there any much longer in a case where its clear she’s fighting other people’s battles. Let mama go home! The earlier the better. For the good of the Nation. And her own good.
Its not true that a woman can make a better president. Women can be evil and more corrupt than men. Look at ACC today. How was John tha Baptisst Killed . Sata is putting them is key position because he knows how heartless a woman can get.
To be honest, the opposition are working hard, but the ground is not conduscive for democracy, then the other truth is that pf and its crookedness will meet the people in 2016.
do u think pipo cud hv called for t her to step down if the judgement ws in favour of mmd? too much talking and politicising each and evry issue!
I repeat she has outlived her usefulness on the bench just as she has her memo pause and has no more sexual productivity remaining, salt without test, chaluposa fye bane -useless a defender of criminlals who murdered Paul TEMBO, Baldwin Nkumbula, Major Wezi Kaunda, Ronald Penza – remember the Nakawala days , Chawama hackings, the theft of a motor vehicle by Sata from the Intelligence , forced rent by Medical Stores of Zambia to rent farmers’s house , who owns farmer’s house? The same criminal sitting in state house
SATA SHOULD CONFUSE THESE GUYS BY APPOINTING MUTEMBO AS CHIEF JUSTICE OR BETTER STILL NCHIMA NCHITO AS CHIEF JUSTICE. IT WILL BE FROM THE FRYING PAN INTO THE FIRE. NDELOLESHAFYE.
I think that Zambia inherited the class system from the British. In days past, some families like the Chibesakundas would be considered higher on the totem pole and above reproach.
I am glad to see Zambians (especially the young ones) don’t subscribe to this anymore and want appointments based on merit and the constitution.
Ladies and gentlemen, Bravo for being emancipated from the shackles of ‘apamwambas”.
Tata lesa balitulisha ubukala ne chinyoh cha n’gombe ba zambeef aba ee!!!!
