Botswana jet in for CHAN showdown

Botswana coach Stanley Tshosane says the Zebras are ready for Saturday’s 2014 CHAN qualifiers against Zambia set for Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Tshosane’s team arrived in Ndola on Thursday afternoon ahead of the return leg, first round 2014 CHAN qualifier in Ndola.

He predicted competitive match.

Tshosane told journalists that Zambian fans should expect beautiful football on Saturday.

“We are looking forward to do better result we are expecting the same (competitive match),” he said.

“I am happy with the preparations, I am happy with the response of the game,” Tshosane said.

He added:”We are going to reach Saturday and give the Zambians beautiful football on the day.”

The two teams are tied 1-1 from the first leg match played at Molepolole in Gaborone last Saturday.

      Actually I am equally puzzled by what CHAN stands for. It is not right for LT to assume that everybody knows what CHAN is. I suspect they too don’t know what it is, they just picked it from somewhere.

    • CHAN is in French, so I can’t remember how to write, but yes its Africa Nations Championship, in Bemba. And its for African/local based players only.

    • CHAN stands for CONFEDERATION OF HEALTH AFRICAN NATIONS i guess, i mean what the hell would it mean if not that?
